My wife and I joined friends at this cozy getaway for two delightful days. Got to visit Glass Beach, local seaglass museum, shopping in downtown Mendocino right down the road, locally made ice cream shop, beach walks, trails etc.. A range of foggy moments to full sunshine in the 2 day span. Woke up before sunrise 2nd morning to a full moon over the calm ocean w/ stars still in view thru the kitchen window! Same view from the living room. So cool! Enjoyed a wide variety of meals prepared by individual couples/groups. A real team effort w/ tons of laughter and enjoyment. We will definitely be visiting this property again soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

My stay at this lovely farm house was soooo relaxing! I could see the ocean from the kitchen table/porch/front room and upstairs bedrooms. It is very hard NOT to relax with those views and to keep my mind on the book I was reading when out on the front porch!!! The kitchen is well appointed with all you need to cook. Very clean/cozy. Short drive to Mendocino or Fort Bragg it you want to eat out or shop. Able to hike into the coast range or to the headlands from the farm house. A delightful stay. I would return and recommend this property to my friends.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much, Nancy. You were such a delightful guest. We loved having you relax on the front porch, taking in the view and enjoying your stay. Please come back and stay with us again. You are very welcome to be our guest anytime!

Fantastic! We enjoyed our stay in Mendo emensely! The home has many amenities including a fabulous view, a well stocked kitchen, new washer and dryer, relaxing jacuzzis, private yard with a lovely garden, large rooms. We love the ambiance of the home, it's pretty and comfortable decor, in a lovely setting, and spectacular view from many of the rooms! We saw whale spouts while having breakfast at the kitchen table! We love that it is located so close to the headlands. We take daily walks out to see the star fish, seals and coastline. It is near many beaches, trails and bike paths. We enjoyed hiking Fern Canyon, kayaking the caves at Van Dam, finding treasures at Glass Beach, shopping in Mendocino, hiking 10 mile beach, and so much more! the owners made us feel at home in their fantastic and very clean vacation getaway. This lovely home is closely located to so much more. Fine dining within a few miles and also right at home on the BBQ! The owners are extremely helpful in recommending fun sightseeing excursions and delicious dining locations. They provided a plethera of pamplets of all the things to do in the area. We spent 9 luxurious days here and we look forward to our next visit in September!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you do much for the kind comments, Cathy, and for being our guests. You and your family are so wonderful to have at the house. You know you're always so welcome there. Looking forward to when you return!

We and some friends stayed here for a wedding in nearby Mendocino. The owners were very kind and knowledgeable about the area. The house, the gardens, the views and the surrounding area are just wonderful. When split among 8 people, the price is incredibly affordable! Considering the location and the charming dwellings, we really couldn't have asked for more! What a wonderful, cozy, charming and beachy experience. Thank you!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much, Jacob, for your kind and thoughtful review. We are so happy that you enjoyed staying at the house, and look forward to your return! Such a pleaseure to have you as our guests!

This beautiful property is perfect for a relaxing and romantic getaway.. The home is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It can handle a large group of several families and yet feel as though you are in your own private cottage, as each bedroom has its own private bath with a tub or shower. After a very magical day at the beach, we came back to the house, kicked back and enjoyed the outstanding sunset as it set into the Pacific. The colors of the sky was just like a dream. The owners are very delightful, friendly, accommodating, and helpful in seeing that our stay on the coast was special. This is a "must stay at" Coastal home, that we will return too again and again as it is perfectly located near the beaches and is convently situated between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Country Victorian, on the Coast. We will recommend this home to all of our friends.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you, Dale and Linda, for your excellent review. We love having you come to the house, and always look forward to seeing you. You're so thoughtful to write these wonderful things about the house. We really appreciate it so much! Thank you!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: The owners were married in the village of Mendocino in 1976, and they fell in love with this home when it was known as Annie's Jughandle Beach Bed and Breakfast Inn. They bought the house in July 2011 and absolutely love coming here with family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Fort Bragg:
Seeing this home was love at first sight for the owners, who had searched the Mendocino area for years. Their love of history and the comforting appeal of the house immediately caught their attention when they saw that it was for sale. They lived in Ft. Bragg years ago and have always wanted to return to the area.
The couple love the Mendocino coast, and have come here for years on their wedding anniversary to commemorate their marriage in the village of Mendocino.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The spectacular ocean views, the quiet yet unassuming elegance of the home, the tranquil setting and lovely gardens, large front deck with ocean views, patios, the lovely and comfortable interiors, the spacious kitchen, living room and dining room, and every bedroom with a private bath, plus jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces, make this an irresistible home.
