Dominating on Hvar-Port 125 Years Old House

  We stayed in this apartment for one week during the peak Hvar summer season. Put simply, the apartment is fantastic! The listing description is accurate (if anything the photos don't do it justice) and it has an exhaustive set of facilities - there's even a washing machine and dishwasher. And if you're planning on cooking (as we did) the kitchen is fully equipped. Two of the bedrooms are large and spacious and the third is smaller. Wi-Fi and the TV worked well. The property is extremely central - about a one minute walk down a staired walkway to the main harbour - and because it's situated on an elevated area, there are stunning views of the harbour and evening sunset. We did not meet Aljosa, the owner, in person, but found him helpful and responsive in our communications via email and text, and his son, who checked us in, provided us with useful local recommendations. It is hard to fault this apartment. I recommend it without hesitation.

  We have just arrived back home after an amazing week in Hvar. The apartment was perfect - brilliant location, quiet but very central, amazing views from every room, really comfortable and a good size for two families (we had three adults and two children). It had everything we needed and Aljosa and Meri were really helpful. We loved catching the water taxis every day to different beaches, wandering around in the evenings, people watching wile sipping cocktails in Cafe Anna and eating amazing food. We would recommend eating at Dalmatina (near Hotel Park), Gioxo and Alviz (at the bus station). Definitely go to Vrboska on the bus (secluded sandy beach to the right and pebble to the left of the bay), Robinson beach (gorgeous sea and lovely restaurant), and visit Jerolim and Carpe Diem beach (you can do both in a day using the same ticket). Everyone was really friendly and children are welcome everywhere. Thank you so much - we had an amazing holiday and hope to be back soon! Amanda, Wale, Tab, Oscar and Anna

  When I booked this property for our belated honeymoon, there was bit of me that was slightly concerned about the lack of reviews for this property. However, I can only assume its new to the rental market as after staying there for 5 nights at the end of May, I imagine anyone staying there would give it 5 stars! The location is perfect, as you can see from the photos, there are magnificent views from every room except for the bathroom. The house is up a big set of steps and so it is not for the faint hearted, but even that felt like it was a positive thing in the face of all the lovely food we consumed whilst in Hvar! It literally takes 2 minutes from the house to be in the beautiful town square where it all goes on. Its also easy to walk to the beaches (mostly rocks, take your jelly shoes!) & beach bars in the other direction. The place is really well equipped, and the sofa you can see in the photo is exceptionally comfortable - such a rare treat in a holiday home! Whilst we didnt eat in at all, you could easily do that with the well equipped kitchen and lovely dining area outside. We ate out for every meal as it was our honeymoon and frankly we were being lazy! Whilst beautiful, we did find it to be expensive in Hvar and on a return trip, we would defintiely make the most of the local markets and cook for ourselves more. Aljosa couldnt have been more friendly or helpful, assisting us with ferry times, and even bus schedules for our next destination after Hvar. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending this place Hvar is defintely one of the most beautiful places Ive ever been to and this holiday home is the perfect resting place to experience it all.

  I had been travelling for 3 months when I finally stayed in Hvar and it was my favourite place among many great places. This house is delightful with views over the marina at sunrise and sunset that stop you in your tracks. The owner, Aljosa, is an absolute gem. He met me at the dock and travelled with me on the ferry to see me settled in. Then, when leaving on a public holiday made it difficult to get public transport/taxi to the airport on time, he organised for his friend to meet me at the Split ferry and drive me to the airport. This was definitely a 5 star experience for me and I would very much like to return. Judith from Australia
