Two bedroom, one bath fully updated Goat Island home. This home features a reverse osmosis water system that many other homes on the island do not provide. Instead of carrying your own water over on the boat for your vacation, just turn on the faucet for water better than bottled water.
An open floor plan with two large decks on the SIDE of the house allowing you to enjoy the view of the waterway from the couch if you choose. Gas stove, oven and outside grill, you will want to cook the fresh fish caught from the waterway.
Satellite television and a new stereo system with interior and exterior speakers. Wy-fi Available for online access.
The covered dock features it's own stereo system with a refrigerator in the tiki bar to keep your beverages cold. Swim or kayak from the dock or just grab a chair and catch some rays while you watch the boaters travel in and out of the waterway.

We rented this little slice of paradise for our child's 12th birthday. The bunk room was ideal for her slumber party, and mom and dad could relax in a perfect setting for a weekend getaway. While this is just a quick boat ride from home for us, it is a whole other world from the hustle and bustle of Mount Pleasant. The neighbors are great, the weather was fabulous, the island is amazing, the trout were biting... And to top it all you can drink the water at this rental. It is clean, comfortable, and nicely situated close to the marina. Thank you to the owners Chris and Mary for sharing your home; we will definitely rent this house again.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My girlfriend and I had an awesome weekend on Goat Island. The house is very comfortable with a fantastic view of the waterway. We were able to tour the islands to the north and had some great food nearby at the Morgan Creek Grille and the Boat House. We live south of Charleston and drove about 2 hours by boat to get there. It is a great getaway for anyone looking for a boat weekend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Wow ! I spent a week at this perfect hideaway on Goat island for my Birtrhday and could not have been more pleased. While I have seen the Island for years from the ICW, I had never stayed there. I lucked in to this perfect rental by randomly googling "Goat Island" on the internet. It was as described and more....The locatioin, the fantastic dock, the decks off the house etc. were nicer than the pictures. The owners-Mary and Chris were a joy to deal with. Everything was so clean in the cottage and the views from it were great as you watched the boats go by on the ICW. It was easy to pick up my guests at Morgan Creek and get supplys too at the well stocked general store. I have been lucky enough to do some traveling, but you will not find a more convienent "escape" than this hidden jewel right outside of Charleston ! I will be back....hopefully sooner thasn later. Spent this past weekend on the island for my wife's 30th. Had a great time. The house and dock were perfect. Close to the marina so we could pick up friends with ease. Easy to shuttle our gear over too. Close to Capers, so we were able to enjoy the beach. The house was comfortable and great for lounging around inside or on the deck. Thanks Chris for allowing us to stay. We really enjoyed it and will be back soon.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Happy late birhtday to your wife! I glad you chose the Goat House to celebrate. Looking forward to you coming again soon. Chris

I want to say that we are a boating vacation family and we have been to many of places with our boat, i.e. Lake Murray, Lake Marion, and multiple other bodies of water. I must say this tops all the vacation we have been on. It could have not been more perfect. The house was clean and modernly updated. The beds were comfortable which is a change form most places. The dock was out of this world for either docking boat or relaxing on. We had at least 25 close encounters with dolphins on the inter coastal, the harbour, and right at the dock. The kids were ecstatic and could not take enough pictures. I definitely have found the place I want to retire to and I am only 43. This will now be a yearly vacation spot for my family and friends who are boating fans too. The owners were awesome and very attentive to all of our needs and wanted to ensure we had a perfect stay. Kudos to the owners. Thank you so much for the wonderful vacation! See you next year!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I recently rented this cottage on Goat Island and had a wonderful experience. The property location is really one of the best on Goat Island. The dock is also one of the best docks on the intercostal. The dock is located in a no wake zone so it is was perfect for my 21ft center console. I spent a long weekend at the house with several friends. The decks at this house are perfect. There is a large live oak tree with Spanish moss growing and really creates a relaxing atmosphere. The views are so incredible we never even turned on the tv, although it was a real nice tv. The house was very clean and the accomodations exceeded my expectations. The only thing I would have changed was the length of my stay. We all did not want to leave. I highly recommend this house, for the location and cost you really can't beat it.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Justin, Thank you!!!!! Im so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again. Thanks, Chris

About the owner: We live in Greenville, SC with our family of eight and we LOVE this place. Goat island is a unique retreat with lots of activities for the nature lover. We fish, shrimp and crab right from the dock and spend evenings playing cards on the high top table in our family area after the evening meal.
Why the Owner Chose Goat Island:
I built the majority of this home on my own. I purchased it as a shell in very bad condition and spent countless hours working on it. I built it to be functional and fun. The decks are on either side of the home so you have a great view of the water from the family room. This location has it all: water sports, nature retreat, fishing, crabbing and much more with all the comforts of home.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
This is a boater's dream. Walk out your front door and hop into your boat. Boat to one of the nearby islands for the day, into the marsh to fish or through the harbor for sightseeing. Boating to an early dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants is one of our favorite ways to spend an early evening.
