The minute you step into this apartment you'll feel right at home! The modern amenities and security of this doorman building will leave you feeling extremely safe and secure. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views of the city. There is a Queen size bed and en suite bathroom in the master bedroom, a Full size bed in the second bedroom with an adjacent full bath, as well as a fold-out sofa bed in the living room to sleep two more guests. The living room area provides plenty of space for you and your family to make yourself at home. (There is also a Queen size Aerobed available for additional sleeping options).
Perfectly situated on Manhattan's Upper West Side, our apartment is just one block away from the Hudson River and three blocks from Central Park. The 1/2/3 express train stop is just steps from our front door. The area truly has a 'neighborhood feel' - away from the tourist crowds and long lines. You will feel like a true New Yorker staying here! There are loads of local bars, restaurants, theaters and shopping nearby - as well as wonderful paths for walking, running or hiking. Along the Hudson River - you can find a number of outdoor dining locations, watch the sunset, or go kayaking or sailing. There's something for everyone in this neighborhood!
Guests will enjoy state-of-the-art amenities including WIFI, plasma TV, indoor heating & cool, a washer/dryer, dish washer, great water pressure and laundry on the floor. Our dining table seats 4-people comfortably and can expand to seat 2-4 more. You'll also have access to our building's rooftop that offers a sun deck and gorgeous views of the Hudson River!

This wonderful apartment lived up to its billing and then some. The location is wonderful for connection to the 1-2-3 Subway lines. All manner of amenities are available close by. The view is a great one and produced a very comfortable stay in every respect. To make matters even better, the owners were amazing in their thoughtfulness and availability. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat - oh if only there were time. Don't miss this rental if you are coming to Manhattan.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay in the apartment was absolutely perfect. The apartment is clean, comfortable and conveniently located near an express/local subway stop. The owner was an impeccable host. She remained accessible via phone and email, before and throughout our stay. She suggested easy sleeping arrangements for our two kids. The owner is extremely organized, making entry to the apartment and settling in smooth sailing. A doorman building in Manhattan is always a bonus, adding that extra sense of security and convenience. The apartment is in a modern building with excellent water pressure (for New York, not to be dismissed). The owner is the perfect, gracious host: Upon our arrival, we found a tip sheet on where to find linens and do laundry, menus for restaurants that deliver, and best of all, a Zagat's! Hooray for our stay. Our trip was amazing, and this apartment was a perfect home base. We are already looking forward to the next.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car.

My experience at this apartment was amazing! The views were great, especially from the ROOFTOP! The kitchen was well equipped, the bed very comfortable, and the security perfect for a woman staying alone. The location was just what I wanted for either getting on the subway (1 minute from door) or finding recreational places nearby like the Riverside and Central Park Melissa was wonderful to work with in regards to my questions. I would consider using the property again with out a doubt!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I would tend to give this Apt. 3.5 stars, but I liked it a lot. If the couple things wrong were not wrong, it would be 4.5. We would definitely stay there again, and we are picky. The owner, Melissa, is really cool. She is communicative and responsive in the process of renting and arranging check-in. She makes herself available by phone during stay if needed. The apt. is a very good size for NY, although it was just my wife and I. The appliances, dishes, and utensils are top-notch and plentiful. the location is awesome for us. If you are going to be on upper west side, you need to be near the express subway. It is a half-block away. You get to Times Square in maybe 6 or 8 minutes and Union Square in 10-12. The neighborhood is safe, building is secure. Plenty of shops and tons of good restaurants. CVS and Duane Reade within 2 blocks Whole Foods a few blocks away. Bed and pillows are good. Wi-fi is excellent and very fast. OK, now for the cons: Owners live there at least part time. There is some hanging closet space but not one draw anywhere. If you are paying to stay somewhere, you should have draws to put your folding clothes in. Some people might not mind this, but it was upsetting to me. I did not complain about it as I did not want to lose any vacation time dealing with it. The only other thing, is that the bed, while pretty comfortable, is 37" (94 cm) high. I'm 6' and wife is 5'8". We had trouble getting into it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Yes, my husband and I do live in the apt part time but we clean out two full hanging closets for guests to use as well as a complete set of drawers in one of the bedroom closets (where there is an empty wired drawer set with six empty drawers for guests). We always ask the cleaning service to leave that closet door open so that the guests can see it upon arrival. While the bed is high (which is typical for NY'rs in order to utilize all storage space available) we do have a stepping stool (I'm 5'2'' so this is helpful for me, though I can get into the bed without it). However, several guests have stayed over the summer and no one has mentioned having any trouble. It's our sincere goal that our guests have a peaceful and restful stay at our apartment which is why we make ourselves available 24/7 during the duration of guests stay by email and phone. If Phil had brought either of these concerns to us we would've directed him to the solutions (ie, the extra drawers and step stool). We regret that he was not aware of these items but value the feedback and will be sure to point out both features to guests in the future...
