Welcome to Mountain Sky, a lovely, five-bedroom, three and a half bath retreat that is nestled in the Rocky Mountains at Fairmont Hot Springs. Enjoy the views from every window and deck of this lavishly furnished home.
The house comfortably sleeps twelve persons. The master bedroom (custom made and designed king bed) features a screened-in sunroom retreat area to enjoy your coffee or read quietly. There is a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The second master bedroom also has a queen bed. Three bunkrooms include five sets of bunkbeds allowing lots of sleeping options... This house is great for two families or golfing adults.
The fully-equipped kitchen comes with dishes for 24, all new appliances (2008), new ceramic tile (2009)allowing you to entertain and cook to your hearts content (ordering out is also an option). With seating for six in the kitchen, a custom made table for twelve in the dining room, lounging chairs on the back deck and a patio table for six on the front deck... Pick your view and enjoy.
Relax by the woodburning, two-way fireplace between the living and dining rooms. Two couches (one leather) and two leather chairs in the living room allow lots of options for seating. Notice the cathderal ceilings and skylight.
As well there is a games room in the newly renovated (2009) walk-out level which includes a pool table, a PlayStation, woodburning stove, tv and dvd/vcr and games. A queen bedroom and a single bunk room. Also on this level is a laundry room and a two piece bath.
Upstairs contains 2 bedrooms with 4 sets of bunkbeds. There is also a four piece bathroom (all four baths have new ceramic tile floors 2009)

Party of 8 fellows from work went for a golf long week-end. The facility was perfect for our group, lots of space, large kitchen, lots of beds, easy access to the Highway, enjoyed both decks, bar-be-que, etc. Highlight was Saturday afternoon when two black bear yearlings wandered through the back yard looking for berries and nuts. Weather in early September was great - clear skies, warm to hot afternoons (25-30 C). Cooled down in evenings for good sleeping conditions. Mornings tend to be cool at this time of year (5C).
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Very comfortable and spacious house, superb location just minutes drive from the hot pools and golf course (also guessing not more than 10-15 min walk either way), about 10 min drive from the ski hill. Well maintained and clean, will easily accommodate 2 families, we would recommend it to our friends/relatives and would rent again next time we are in Fairmont.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our hosts deserve a big thank you for sharing their wonderful home in the mountains with all of us!! We had such a wonderful time and were so happy with the comfort and size of the home. We played golf, went on a trail ride and enjoyed the hotsprings - even walking up to the hotsprings every morning for a little fitness before the day started with the kids :) Everything we possibly needed was in the kitchen, the kingsize bed was glorious and everyone had plenty of space to enjoy! Thanks so much - we had the best family vacation!

Myself, my son and his family with a 2 & a 5yr. old rented this house in July 2010 and had a great time. The house is huge and beautifully laid out with enough sleeping for 12 or more people. The house is kept in immaculate condition and it came equipped with everything you could possibly need. The 1 deck is really large and has a big glass top table with umbrella that we sat under and read while the kids played. It is close to lots of things to see and do. Hot springs and beaches are only minutes away and they have a small grocery store, for those last minute things you forgot. All in all, it was a great vacation for us and we loved the house. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation get away.
