Panoramic views of the ocean and sound from this 4-5 bedroom 4 1/2 bath oceanfront home on Wrightsville Beach. The actress Sandra Bullock stayed at the home while filming Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and 28 days. Large fenced yard is great for croquet, badminton and backyard barbecues using the gas grill. Ground level has 2 garages (1 with ping-pong table and 1 with 6-7 bikes, boogie boards, 2 soft side surfboards, beach chairs and toys) and a second den with a tv and dvd player, extra fridge and utility sink, ipod docking station. The ground floor also features a bedroom with queen bed, a bathroom with shower and a washer and dryer. The second floor has two master suites each with their own bath, a large oceanfront deck with hammock, swing and Adirondack chairs, an additional bedroom with two bunk beds and bath. The top floor provides 360 degree panoramic views of the ocean and sound. Here you will find a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table that seats 14 (16 with the addition of the game table), a breakfast nook, an oldhausen championship grade pool table and multiple seating areas. One sitting are faces the ocean another faces the fireplace, flatscreen TV for daytime viewing and the 10 foot pull down screen used with the hd projection tv. There is also a powder room (1/2 bath) and a large ocean facing deck with an ipe table for 10, 4 sun loungers with sunbrella cushions and 2 rockers.

As two couples traveling to the beach for rest this was perfect. The dual master bedrooms on the second floor with access to the deck and with beach views were ideal for us. And the third floor is spectacular. We just sit inside or outside and look out at the ocean all day and read, chat, nap. The sunset from the other side of the house is very nice...you see it beyond the houses on the street with the sunset pinks reflected off the windows of the house on the corner of this short cul de sac road. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was first rate. Two coffee pots - we had one with decaf and the other with regular coffee each morning. The microwave is super fast to heat things up (cut your usual heat time in half!). The media center is awesome. Dina the owner was a joy to work with. The real estate management company was a bit clunky - nice but slow to get the contract out. Be sure to check to see if they deliver your linens when you arrive. They had some confusion on ours. We completely LOVED this trip. The restaurants are abundant in the area. plenty of shopping on the mainland. We did a fun excursion to Fort Fisher after watching the movie Lincoln - it played a crucial role during the Civil War. The elevator was crucial as two of arrived not able to do stairs very well. The garages on this house contain a pingpong table set up on one side, bikes and tons of beach equipment on the other. It was a bit on the cool side while we were there so we didn't swim - but the beach is firm enough to be outstanding for walking on. One surprise: bring your own beach towels or buy them cheap at WINGS nearby. Basically this was everything we could need! We plan to come back here again and again and again... :)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This house has it all...beach in your backyard, well-stocked kitchen, games/bikes/beach equipment galore. The views of the beach and the sound are perfect for sunrise, sunset, and everything in between. Tastefully furnished yet comfortable. We have been to this house several times and had fantastic stays--the only problem is you don't want to leave.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Our family of six that includes 10 year old triplets and a 9 year old son, purchased our home at Wrightsville Beach in 2004. We currently enjoy it for a few weeks a year with family and friends from near and far.
Why the Owner Chose Wrightsville Beach:
We chose this home due to it's oceanfront location, the large backyard which is great for games and backyard barbecues and it's open and inviting floor plan that is extremely kid friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
A large grassy backyard at the beach is an exception that we thoroughly enjoy for games of croquet, volleyball and tag.
