The flow continues to the fully equipped gourmet kitchen. It features an island which includes a bar separating the kitchen from the relaxed den which opens through french doors to the outdoor living room and pool. Lush greenery and artworks define the huge outdoor room. On one side is an outdoor covered seating area which is an ideal setting for partying and alfresco dining. Another area, raised slightly above the pool, provides chaises to relax by the pool. A side patio provides a barbecue and fresh herbs to clip for your gourmet dining.
Bedrooms in the main house include comfortable seating areas, carpeted floors and large closets. The master bedroom opens to the pool and rear outdoor living room through French doors and it includes an en suite bathroom with a sunken, spa tub, shower and steam. A washer and dryer are concealed and located on the bedroom hallway.

Located on a quiet residential street just off Melrose Avenue, this property is technically located in Hollywood, but is only blocks from West Hollywood and minutes from Beverly Hills. Fine dining, grocery stores, museums, attractions, bars, clubs and great shopping are within walking distance of the home. About: I have a great interest in interior design and architecture. Having traveled a great deal, I have come to appreciate certain design styles and spacial configuration in homes, especially with the courtyard homes of colonial Mexico. When I moved to Southern California, the perfect climate became an additional motivator to explore outdoor living design.
Why Hollywood Hills: This particular house, I simply call Genesee. It was the fourth property which I had purchased and renovated in the area and, due to circumstance, became the property where I chose to live. Originally a duplex, Genesee was completely renovated and converted to a single family home. The swimming pool and outdoor living features were added within the last 4 years, but have become the defining elements for the lifestyle associated with Genesee.
The Unique Benefits at this House: When at Genesee, you will naturally feel drawn to the water of the swimming pool. The salt waters of the pool are always warm due to the solar heating system. The gardens surrounding the pool are tropical and full of exotic surpasses, including pleasurable fragrances. An outdoor fireplace adjacent to the swimming pool provides the opportunity to further enhance the exotic feel of the backyard to that of a near spiritual experience.
