Relax and enjoy some time away with your family or some of your favorite traveling buddies. This one-of-a-kind, 2-story, 2-bedroom charming lakefront English-style cottage is situated on a quiet cove on picturesque Lake Lure in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Downstairs you'll find a comfy living room with fireplace and a sunporch that spreads across the front of the house and extends into a sunroom. The sunroom's sliding glass doors open onto a deck with seating and a spectacular view. From there, stairs lead down to the water's edge. The cozy kitchen/dining room combination comfortably seats 6. There is a bathroom with a shower on the main floor.
The two bedrooms are upstairs. One has a queen-size bed, the other has a double bed. A bathroom with tub is located in between the two rooms. Flip for who gets the double bed sleeper sofa that's in the sunroom downstairs!
Down by the lake, you can choose to take a good book and sit on the deck or under the covered sitting area. Want some sun? Float close to the dock at the boathouse or get some exercise and take the canoe out for a ride.
It's no wonder that movie producers have found this area the perfect backdrop for such feature films as The Last of the Mohicans, Dirty Dancing, A Breed Apart and Firestarter.
We're located in a thermal belt, so the climate is a bit different than in nearby surrounding areas. The early warmer climate causes flowers to bloom earlier in the spring and autumn leaf color to change later and last longer in the fall. We're located just minutes from the beach at Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Park in Chimney Rock Village.

- Linens Provided: Bedding is provided for all beds and the sleeper sofa. Kitchen towels are provided but you need to bring your bath and beach towels.
- Garage: The garage is located right as you come into the property.
- Off Street Parking: There is room next to the garage and across the street from the house for additional parking.
- Wood Fireplace: There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room off of the kitchen. Wood is provided in the winter months.

- Double Bed (2) : There is a double bed in the upstairs bedroom. You can lay in bed and enjoy a view of the lake from your window.
- Convertible Bed: There is a sleeper sofa that folds out to a double bed on the sunporch downstairs.

- Deck/Patio: A deck on the front of the house overlooks the lake cove. The table and chairs for 6 are on the deck along with some rockers.

- Lakefront: You can see views of the lake from the house and the decks. Stairs take you down to the water.
- Mountain View: Lake Lure is surrounded by majestic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

- Telephone: There is a land line available for local calls only.
- WiFi (Wireless Internet): WiFi (Wireless Internet) is available at Coffee Crumbs Coffee shop in Chimney Rock Village.

- There is a courtyard in the back of the house for outside games. Hiking sticks, books, games and a dart board are available for your use. A canoe and floats can be found in the boathouse.

- No Pets Allowed: Please do not bring your pets.
- Kid Friendly: The house is fine for young children as long as they are supervised. There is room in the sunroom for cots and floor mats.
- Smoking Not Allowed: No smoking in the house. If you smoke outside, please use ashtrays.
