- As noted in the Ventura County Star newspaper recently, the area of Ventura County known as 93001, with its temperate Mediterranean climate, gorgeous views, miles of beaches and wide variety of desirable homes in every price range, truly has something to offer for everyone. Contained within this ZIP code are some of Ventura's most well-known and beloved landmarks, such as the Ventura Pier, City Hall, San Buenaventura Mission, Pierpont Beach (where our house is located) and Two Trees. The Ventura Harbor, home of restaurants and shops and Marina Park also are found within its limits. The area is unique in its diversity - from the bungalows and luxurious oceanside homes of Pierpont Beach (where our home is located), to the burgeoning downtown area with its restaurants, shops, theatres and galleries, to the high end hillside residences with their stunning ocean and Channel Island views. Ventura's downtown is not only steeped in history (the San Buenaventura Mission, Old City Hall and Ventura County Historical Museum are among its highlights) but a fast growing Mecca for the arts and many art galleries, fine restaurants and fascinating shops for browsing. The Majestic Ventura Theater hosts concerts for rock and blues aficionados, the Rubicon Theater presents a wonderful variety of plays and musicals and many restaurants such as Zoey's and the Watermark regularly provide excellent live music for dancing and listening. Running along the ocean front from the Promenade and Surfer's Point in Ventura (minutes from our house) all the way to downtown Ojai, the Ojai Bike Trail is another great feature of the 93001. Cyclists and joggers can catch a glimpse of the group of dolphins or watch surfers and sail boarders riding the waves. Whether you desire shopping, fine dining, great entertainment, surfing, cycling, or just relaxing on the beach this area has it all!! ...moreless

Great Beach House for a Large Group
Great Beach House for a Large Group
Our family from New York and California met at his beach house for one week in August and had the best time! The pictures do no do the property justice. The house is perfect for a day at the beach, with an outdoor shower and lots of outdoor space to hang out. Inside the bedrooms are spacious and there is an upstairs patio area for hanging out. Great house!

We had a wonderful time. We'd like to thank the owners for there hospitality. There was enough room to accommodate our family. There was room for the little kids to run around and be safe. The house was well equipped with pretty much everything we needed. (next time we wouldn’t need to bring the extras eg. bikes, beach toys). We found the owners to be very nice, helpful and easy to deal with. 4th of July on the beach was great. Hope to return next year if not sooner.

Great house, great people
Great house, great people
This comfortable home has everything you need and is perfectly located. It was in perfect condition on arrival and everything worked beautifully. Owners are friendly, helpful, and accomodating. We got to Ventura every year for a week in summer and this is the best house we've stayed at yet-- we hope to be back next year.

Great Summer Week at the Beach
Great Summer Week at the Beach
My family spent a week at the house this summer. We had a wonderful time. Surfing, building sandcastles, catching sand crabs, boogie boarding - the works. The house was wonderful. It was very clean and nicely decorated. New appliances (frig & dishwasher) made the small kitchen work out well. The bathrooms had new fluffy towels and there were also high quality beach towels for our use. I liked that there were outside pegs to hang wet towels, bathing suits, and for me, wetsuits (nothing worse than putting on a cold damp wetsuit for your next morning surf session). The house was very functional with plenty of room for two kids (8 and 5) to play without bugging mom and dad. There was even room for another family to spend one night with us. We enjoyed the easy access to Marina Park and the zipline plus bike rides in the neighborhood. The garage provided safe storage for surfboards and bikes. The hot tub was a special feature since Ventura ocean water is not so warm even in summer. All in all this is a great place for a beach vacation. Thank you Sue for letting us stay in your house.
