This lovely cape is a family home located just a ten minute walk to the center of town.It is over 100 years old with hardwood floors and set back from the road 100 plus feet. Five minutes away local school with basketball court and large playground structure. When you think of maine with it's rugged coastline and ocean views Vinalhaven has it. Ideal for, bicycle, hiking and swimming in the local quarries.
Booth Quarry is one mile from the house and is a nice walk and has an area at either end for easy access to the water for small children. When you get off the Ferry ride (one hour and 15 minutes from Rockland) the Fisherman's co-op is right there if you wish to purchase Lobster's harvested that day. Pick up a copy of the Wind (a free local newspaper with current info) downtown and at the Library. The Library has Internet access and videos.There is broadband at the house,so bring your Laptop.
The Island is a place to relax and explore. You can take kayak tour, got to the Gym or check out local hiking ares,and rent bicycles at the Tidewater motel.
There is a deck on the back of the house and you can see Indian Creek (a view of the ocean). Have a morning coffee or grill on the deck. We have a small library of videos(VCR and dvds). The local Library is just a 5 minute walk down the street.
The bedrooms are upstairs, 2 queen, a king, and a small room with bunk beds. The living room has a recliner and a full-size sofa.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Summer Rate ..July-August ...$850 per/week plus7% sales tax
Off Season Sep-May/Jun $750 please contact for all of offseason rental
Oil heat updated furnace 2002, New replacement windows 2004 furnished.
Dates per week are generally Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am departure.
The house is available for off season as well.
Security deposit $200 to be received with rental agreement.
