ME, MY SON AND OUR DOGGIE SPENT THREE NIGHTS AT BODEGA MOON COTTAGE. WE HAD AN AWSOME TIME!. THE COTTAGE WAS SO COZY AND QUIET THAT ALL WE WANTED TO DO IS STAY IN, LIGHT THE FIREPLACE AND LISTEN TO LIONEL RITCHIE (SHE HAS A GREAT COLLECTION OF MUSIC). THE COTTAGE IS ALREADY EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED, ALL YOU NEED IS FOOD. WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK!

This is a charming, cozy home! Walking distance to restaurants and grocery. We fired up the wood-burning stove, and I relived my youth by watching Hitchcock's "The Birds", which was filmed in the area (not quite so scary now). Beautiful beaches within a mile. Short drive to local wineries and Russian River area. Beautiful scenery. Friendly people. Good food and good times.

This place is absolutely charming, great for mornings in, with a home made breakfast and coffee. Very well priced, couldn't imagine anything more expensive providing more warmth and comfort than this little place did. The restaurants in the area left much to be desired, everything else was fantastic. The little enclosed back yard was bright and inviting for coffee in the morning, would have been great to use the grill for dinner had we planned a little better. The wood burning stove was nice, having grown up with one and not having one in my home since childhood, it was a nice treat after a bath in the claw foot tub. Robin was always easy to get a hold of, very accommodating. She made this little place simple, sweet, and homey. If you are planning on staying anywhere in the area, this is a great stop.

I felt at home the second I walked into Bodega Moon. The cottage is decorated perfectly, with subtle accents and warmly painted walls. The layout is is adorable and the cottage seems bigger from the inside. It was very clean when we arrived and was well stocked with necessaries that are often forgotten in the haste of packing. For instance, I brought oatmeal with me to prepare for breakfast, but I had forgotten cinnamon. Just as I thought I'd have to make a trip to the store, I found a spice cabinet in the dining area with cinnamon. Favorites: My favorite part of the cottage was the porch. I experienced a great feeling of peace and tranquility while sitting on the front porch, watching the boats enter and exit the harbor. I also loved the black and white tiled bathroom with the clawfoot tub. It was a unique, beautiful room - perfect to relax in after a long day at the beach. Location & things to do: The neighborhood felt very down-to-earth despite it's incredibly beautiful location. The neighbors were cheerful and greeted us kindly. We walked to dinner on Saturday night to the Sandpiper Restaurant, which is only 1 block away from the cottage. We had great food and service there, and it was nice to have a few drinks and not worry about driving home. During the day, we visited Salmon Creek Beach and Goat Rock Beach. I highly recommend going to Goat Rock Beach - the harbor seals are around during the spring and summer and it's fun to watch them play in the Russian River. Extras: As a twenty-something city gal, I really enjoyed that the cottage had a washer and dryer. I left with a suitcase of fresh clean clothes and didn't have to worry about my next trip to the laundromat. I would recommend this rental to anyone - especially to an individual person who just needs to get away from it all or focus on a project for a weekend.

My two sisters and I spent a weekend at Bodega Moon. What a charming cottage! Very nice artwork and photos, cute decorations and modern furnishings combined with nice antiques. Somehow I missed that there were two bathrooms thus I was pleasantly surprised! With three women sharing a house, bathroom space can be crowded, There was a very efficient Cuisinart coffee maker which will grind the beans, a wonderful Jenn-air stove and a large refrigerator. There was a TV and a stereo with a CD changer and a large assortment of excellent music. We spent a lot of time hiking so didn't use the wonderful porch or garden. The porch would be a nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

The cottage was super comfortable and decor reflects the beautiful coastal living. The location can't be beat nor can the price. Our dog Max enjoyed the stay as well. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. Don't miss the clam chowder at the Boat House! A grocery store is located right across the street. And their pizza was pretty darn good too! My wife and I look forward to visiting Bodega Bay again soon and staying at the Bodega Moon Cottage.

Our family of four had a terrific stay at Bodega Moon Cottage. This charming home was exactly as described on the website and served as a wonderful getaway for a long weekend. We were so grateful that our lab was welcome to come with us and she immediately felt at home and, despite her old age, was able to navigate around the house very easily. Robin was extremely efficient in responding to our questions and always communicated very quickly with us. The house was very clean and kitchen was well stocked and had everything that we needed to prepare our meals. We would highly recommend this rental to our friends and relatives and we can't wait to return for another visit. Thanks, Robin!

My sweetie & I stayed at the cottage for 5 nites & loved every moment. It is very cozy, comfortable & clean, not to mention romantic. We loved cooking our meals in the well equipped kitchen, sitting in front of the wood stove with a glass of wine or tea, & we enjoyed the view of Bodega Bay through the many windows & from the front porch chairs. We listened to music & it truely felt like our home away from home. It is such a quiet area, the people are friendly & welcoming. The grocery store/deli is a block away with a good supply of what you would need for wonderful meals. There are also fish places to get the freshiest seafood in town. If you happened to forget something, Robin has provided just about everything one can think of that would be needed for a weekend or more. Coats, hats, gloves, games, things for the kids to do, books to read, videos to watch and most all, the beautiful little cottage with the fine wood floors, the waynes coat walls & tiled kitchen & bathrooms. The cottage is decorated perfectly from photos & prints to the blue half moon stained glass hanging in the window. The most enjoyable, relaxing place to stay . The location is perfect, easy to find and handy for a drive up or down the coast. We had such a wonderful time, that we expect to stay again someday, maybe every year from now on. Thank you Robin.

My husband and I have been driving through Bodega Bay many times but we never bothered to stop and check out the area. We decided to change this and made a reservation to stay a long weekend at Bodega Moon. It was raining when we drove up from San Francisco, and the weather forecast promised more to come. I did have my doubts about leaving the city, but we had made the reservation so we went. I'm glad we did because we would have missed a wonderful experience. And the weather turned out to be quite nice too. We arrived in Bodega Bay, and as soon as we stepped in the cottage we felt welcome. It's very cozy and comfy. The first thing we did after inspecting the cottage was to start a fire in the wood stove in the living room. A basket with firewood and kindling was placed next to the stove. Within a short time the cottage felt like home. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a shower, and one with the bathtub). Every room has separate heating as well (ideal for a winter stay). The kitchen is great and has a cute small dining room in the back. The kitchen is fully equipped. The porch at the front of the cottage is also great and has a view at the Bay. I loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and watch the fishing and other boats sail on the Bay. There is also a fenced garden deck with a barbecue and cozy chairs at the side of the house. We were pleasantly surprised about the many things you can do in and around Bodega Bay. We hiked Bodega Head, visited some of the many beaches along the coast and drove up to Guerneville. We wanted to go kayaking but the weather was a little iffy. Other things you can do are horseback riding, take a road trip (the area around Bodega Bay is beautiful), visit a winery, visit one of the many restaurants, or just sit on the front porch and watch the world go by. Bodega Moon is also a great place if you are traveling by yourself.
