The house is two story with a dramatic ocean view that can be viewed from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and balcony on the second floor. Open and airy, painted in soothing beachy colors with new carpeting and comfortable furnishings. La Vida Loca is named for its proximity to bustlng beach life and numerous activities, but it is a relaxing sanctuary within.
Rio del Mar beach has some of the warmest waters and safest swimming in Northern/Central California. Miles of white sand beaches with summer lifeguards, restrooms, showers and picnic facilities.

We came to attend our son's wedding, but ended up enjoying this house and area far more than we expected. Of course the weather was great. We especially liked beach combing here and at the neighboring beaches. To D&R: Thanks for an especially good stay.

From the first moment that I entered through the doors of La Vida Loca, I knew it would be a great place for my family and friends to gather. This little beach house just has such a nice "vibe" to it. I assume that it must be because this houses's walls are saturated with all the happy memories of the guests before us. And now that includes the memories built this weekend by my family and friends. We had a magical time in this beach house celebrating my little sister's 30th birthday. Thank you so much for the generous accomodations and for providing us with the option to share the experience with some of our furry friends...although they weren't able to make it after all.

When the time is Christmas and you are surrounded by loved ones, you are full of gratitude. Seated at the kitchen table, I can't help but feel a little sad that such an ideal getaway is coming to an end. Sisters, friends the weekend comes to an end, four souls sharing...bearing our innermost thoughts and feelings, awed by the beauty of the setting sun, mesmerized by its beauty never to be forgotten... This turned out to be a perfect place to gather our clan for the Thanksgiving Holiday. It was the first time we were together in 5 years. It was great being so close to the beach. We walked, we ran, we went birding. My daughter and I took a little side trip to Elkhorn Slough and it was fantastic. I think that I added 20 birds to my list. We saw some gorgeous sunsets. It was very sweet of you to put up the Christmas tree to add to our Holiday atmosphere. You are a very thoughtful hostess. We all enjoed the wonderful selection of teas.

Just...WOW. The pictures online were great, but nothing could have prepared us for how amazing this place is! We love the view and the little extras thrown in to make us more comfortable. This is such a convenient location to come down from Portland, Oregon and visit with our California friends. I am sure that you will be hearing from us again. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation.
