  We spent 5 nights in this lovely cottage and wish we could have stayed longer. It was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed to relax and unwind. It was so peaceful to sit in the sunroom and look out at the lovely old oak with the Spanish moss hanging down and look at the dock and the creek flowing by and watch the tide coming in and out. Unfortunately it rained a lot so we wern't able to enjoy the huge large deck but we know we will be going back and we look forward to sitting out on the deck watching the sunset over the marsh. The kayaks are such a treat and the weather co-operated enough to allow us to get out once to enjoy a paddle through the marshes and view an incredible sunset while kayaking. The kitchen is fully stocked and the layout of the main living area is open and very welcoming. We have rented many homes in NC and SC and have never had such a thourough and complete welcome letter with things to do, places to shop and restuarants to eat along with directions to each of these places. That was so helpful. And NEVER have we had a Welcome gift waiting for us. THANK YOU!! Dinner at Sunbury Crab Co was delicious and a real experience. A great recommendation! A trip to Fort Morris was very interesting - we had no idea part of the Revolutionary war was fought this far south. The walk along the boardwalk at Cay Creek Interpretive Center was fascinating. Living in the piedmont area of NC the landscape in this part of GA is so different from what we are use to. And of course the highligh of our stay was a trip with Capt Wild Bill and we are so thankful we had one great sunny day to take this trip. What a truly incredible trip and an "MUST DO". We took his Eco trip and he told us we would be gone for 4 - 5 hrs - 7 hrs later we returned to the dock - exhausted but exhilarated from the most incredible day. Capt Wild Bill is a wealth of knowledge on the birds, history and the area in general with lots of personal and fun stories to tell. We saw many types of birds as well as bald eagles, dophins frolicking in the water and terrapins, we hiked on Blackbeard Island and saw deer and racoons, we ate lunch on the ocean side of the beach on Blackbeard Island and we searched for the elusive alligators but never did find one - maybe next time as there will definitely be a next time. We needed time to get away and relax - and even though the weather wasn't great and we didn't get out as much as we hoped - we RELAXED. THANK YOU!

  We had an excellent experience at Blue Crab Creek. From the moment we arrived, we knew this property was well maintained and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities needed to make a guest feel at home. We especially enjoyed the wide open spaces around the house for watching the sunset and getting some much needed fresh air! The dock and huge oak trees help you get back to nature, while the flat screen TV and modern kitchen keep you feeling connected and pampered. We would recommend this property to those groups with 6 people looking to get together in a beautiful setting.

  Blue Crab Creek was just what we needed to end a month of travel that was at times hectic. It is so peaceful and quiet sitting on the dock or the large deck and enjoying the sunsets which are really spectacular. The area is full of live oaks with draping Spanish moss and is very conducive to walking. The cottage is well stocked and beautifully decorated and provides all you need for a perfect vacation. We enjoyed a trip with Wild Bill to Blackbeard Island and the tidal creeks which are so interesting and spotted several bald eagles and also a roseate spoonbill, which I am told is a rare sighting. All in all a wonderful week with good seafood and beautiful scenery. We would recommend to anyone interested in nature, fishing, history which abounds, or just enjoying a glass of wine and sunsets.

  When we first arrived, we were greatly surprised at how beautiful the house was decorated. Very open and family friendly. Also to are surprise the owner had a gift bag ready for us on the counter. A very nice genture on their part. We had lots of fun catching blue crab several nights to eat for dinner and also had fun kayaking with the 4 provided kayaks. The second cottage was very nice separate from the house exspecialy for me and husband. Lots of privacy from the teenagers and mother. Also everything in the kitchen is provided. No need to bring anything except clothes and yourself. The only bad thing was that the week we went it turned out to be one of the hottest weeks of the year. We will definitly be a returning customer, but a cooler time of year. Thank you sooooo much to the owners for your great service.

  Our vacation to Colonels Island, GA was probably the most relaxing vacation that I can remember! Blue Crab Creek is the PERFECT getaway! The house and cottage are perfectly and tastefully appointed. The owners truely did go out of their way to make it so. Every day we dropped the crab traps off the dock and every evening had fresh steamed blue crabs for an appetizer before grabbing a cocktail and heading out in the boat to watch the sunset and swim with the dolphins!!! And they provided bird books to identify the amazing birds in the tidal marshes. Then we would head to the Sunbury Crab Co. for friendly local southern hospitality and fresh seafood! If beauty and relaxation is what you seek.... then Blue Crab Creek is THE PLACE!! We cannot wait to return in October!!
