  The apartment is as stated 5-7 minutes walk from the metro station. On arrival we were met by Manos and his house keeper. We were welcomed with a hamper of treats, which were delicous. The apartment was clean tidy and homely. It had every modern appliance you could need. The apartment is excellent value for money. And is in a quiet location. We would recommend it to anyone. Manos was extremely helpful on all aspects of our stay and very knowledgeable of the area. And although we failed in our mission on our this visit to Athens, our second visit was a complete success, but unforunatley Manos`s apartments were fully booked for the week we wanted so we had to to stay elsewhere.

  We had a very comfortable stay in Apartment no 2 and would stay again! The locatity was safe, the metro was nearby and it was easy to get to monuments and museums. The local shop keepers were delightful and there is a great hairdressers next door! Considering the hard economic times that Greece is currently experiencing, we found the Athenians to be very kind, charming and warm hearted. We will be back and hope to stay in the apartment again!

  "Cet appartement permet un excellent séjour à Athènes. Il se trouve à proximité d''un nombre important de moyens de transports urbains (métro, trolley, bus) permettant de gagner en quelques minutes la place Syntagma et tous les sites. Il est à proximité du métro arrivant de l''aéroport. L''équipement est parfait (avec clim!) et l''environnement très plaisant (balcon avec table et fauteuils, cour intérieure d''immeuble pleine de verdure...) dans un immeuble "bourgeios et très calme (sur le pallier se trouve un médecin!). Le propriétaire habite dans l''immeuble et assure un accueil plein de charme, offrant plans et indications pratiques diverses et une grande disponibilité en cas de souci. Nombreux commerces à proximité dont au moins deux importants supermarchés. Une location à recommander."

  My wife and I had great stay in the Arkadias II apartment. The furniture, accessories and amenities was adequate - and the neighbourhood was just what we looked for: The chance to live among everyday Athens life. And still we could get to center of Athens in only a few minutes. The only thing we were not so happy about was the mattres that were a bit soft for our taste - but then we just used the sleeping couch in the living room. Highly recommended!

  I stayed in Loveable Experience 2 with 3 other adults. Two of us slept in the bedroom and 2 on the pullout couch. We were very comfortable. The apartment is well furnished and clean. My trip to Athens was in August and the weather was very hot. The air conditioning worked great. The apartment has a washing machine, but no dryer. We were able to hang clothes on a clothesline to dry. There is a hair dryer supplied. We walked to the metro, about 10 minutes. I felt very safe in this neighborhood. There are grocery stores very close also. I would recommend staying here, especially when going to see the Acropolis,Plaka, museums, etc.

  The owner was so friendly and helpful - not intruding on our privacy but happily and quickly responding to requests for any information regarding Athens. The apartment was clean and conveniently located. Definitely better than staying in a hotel!

  Quiet non threatening location , 4 Metro stops from the city centre (approx 10 mins). The second floor flat was very clean, air conditioned in the lounge and bedroom and was totally adequate for the two of us. The fluent English speaking owner was very helpful but not intrusive and he provided useful local maps for shops, restuarants etc. All in all certainly worth considering if you want to see the sights of Athens and enjoy a peaceful night afterwards unlike last year's Barcelona city centre flat where the partying went on until 3 AM and the bin emptying started at 5 AM. You may like to consider a meal at the Strofi Taverna south of the Acropolis its rooftop dining terrace has a marvellous view of the Parthenon (around 25 - 30 Euros each).

  We had a great time in Athens! The place is clean and well-equipped to make you feel like home away from home, having a washing machine in the apartment helped a lot since I believe in packing light. It is walking distance to the bus and Metro station and the neighborhood is close to shops and grocery stores. The owner (Manos) provided us with a lot of help on tourist and ferry information. The country has so many amazing sites and the people are so very helpful with the tourists. Highly recommend this place. There is an elevator in the building but if you use a walker or wheelcahir, there are some steps before you get to the elevator.

  As far as the apartment is concerned you get exactly what you see in the website. It was a pleasant surprise! The unit was renovated and very modern in feel. We rented a 1 bedroom unit and it has a separate kitchen (fully equipped with all the bells and whistles you can ask for and if there is anything not provided you can ask the owner), airconditioning was great (one in the bedroom and another in the living room), large and clean bathroom (has a new washer if you want to do laundry, water pressure was great with unlimited supply of hot water), and the living room has a sectional which converts into a bed for 2. A television/DVD unit is provided as well as wifi access. The building itself is secure and has an elevator. Location was perfect for us and we felt safe because of establishments in the area --- it’s a few meters from a Citibank branch and across the street is the President Hotel. The buses are frequent if you don’t want to walk but the nearest metro is a few minutes walk away and only 4 stops from the main interchange which is Syntagma. The owner, Manos, was extremely helpful ant went above and beyond what other owners might have done for us. He booked our ferry from Santorini and even advanced the payment! When we arrived at 11:00pm in the port he was available to help us out when we were a bit lost. Upon arrival in the apartment, he already prepared a little package for us to help us venture out in the streets of Athens (map of the metro, list of buses to take, places to eat, instructions to go to the tourist sites, etc.). It was like staying in a hotel without the cost! My friends and I absolutely recommend you staying in this unit. You’ll have a truly great stay and save a bit of money for shopping.
