  Four of us ladies met in Lubbock at the Robin House to spend time scrapbooking together. It was perfect for that, the upstairs "living" area was well lighted and provided ample room for our activities. Each of us had our own bedroom and happily shared the two baths. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, close to the university, eateries, grocery stores, shopping. The only "less than perfect" was the way the kitchen was equiped. We cooked all our meals at the house and found the pots, pans, small appliances less than standard. Also the kitchen was cluttered with food items left from previous renters than would be useful to no one. A little more thorough "deep" cleaning would move the house from a 3.5 star to a 4.5 star.

  Owner response: Thank you so much for your review. I'm glad you found the home spacious and comfortable. We fully agree with the "left-over" items of utensils, pots, pans, etc that become useless. Each year -- in January -- we go through the home and remove, replace, update, all items necessary in the home to start off fresh. Perhaps we should consider doing this twice a year as by the time December rolls around the kitchen does collect quite a bit of useless plastic items. Thanks for the heads up -- as this is what we are doing this week!

  As usual the Robin House fulfilled and surpassed our expectations. It's in the perfect location to access all that Lubbock has to offer. It has more than enough room for the four of us and we'll definitely be staying there again for the second, third, etc. reunions of our MBA class. I highly recommend it to anyone staying for a weekend, a week, or longer.

  We were in town for a horse show and rather than get a hotel, decided to rent a house. The Robin House was absolutely perfect. It was very clean and the beds were VERY comfortable. When we arrived there was even a plate of homemade cookies for us...yummy! Would definitely stay here again.

  What wonderful hosts and accomodations for our group! These owners have two properties seperated by a gate. We rented them both and were able to have a wonderful time between both locations. "Robin House" and "Lone Oak" were very nice. Some comments from us:Nice, roomy, non cluttered, backyard play area, nice furniture, felt at home, very welcoming, open layout, nice to have a washer and dryer, nice neighborhood, very accomodating. AC worked well Brrrr!! We did purchase a new showerhead and additional coffee maker for them.We would highly recommend these lodging locations to anyone.

  We needed a big house for graduation weekend that would provide enough room for us and all the family coming in from out of town, and the Robin house was great. Very close to Tech and not far from the Civic Center, our drive to and from ceremonies was short and easy. The backyard provided a wonderful area for us to set up games of washers and bocci ball while we cooked out on the gas grill. We did have a few hiccups while there, but Lynn worked quickly to resolve them.

We are about 1.5 miles from Texas Tech and about 3 miles from the Civic Center -- with the new freeways in Lubbock it takes about 8 minutes to get there! Thank you for your patience with the hiccups -- you were very understanding. We'd love to have you back again if your journey's bring you through Lubbock once again.

  My husband and I decided on April 2, 2012 that we would marry on May 5, 2012. Given the short time frame we had to plan a wedding, the venue became quite an obstacle. We wanted a small and simple wedding with a private feel. He had the idea of finding a short-term rental property to have our wedding and reception at. We found Robin House online and instantly fell in love with the property. This home and landscape were obviously very well kept. The yards are beautiful and the home is cozy. We rented the home for 2 nights, which gave us plenty of time to set up the backyard for my small wedding and reception. This also provided a place to stay for a couple of my out-of-town family members. It was perfect! The wedding was beautiful! Besides the beautiful features of the home, the property managers were very friendly easy to work with. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Lubbock. I would also recommend it for special occassions with 30 or less people. It's very affordable and more than worth the money you spend. Pics to follow.

  Wonderful week-end -- the house was just great; convenient to everything, very clean and the beds were super with good bedding. All our family had a great time. We will definitely rent the house again. We had our Thanksgiving there with our four children and their families and welcomed our first great-grandbaby that week. Thank you for helping make it such a wonderful time.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We rented the Robin House for a football weekend. It was a good economic alternative to a hotel or B&B for our group. The four bedrooms provided comfortable sleeping arrangements, with plenty of common space. It is very well located less than 10 minutes from the Texas Texas campus. The property manager met us on arrival to make sure we knew how everything worked. The one thing that stands our for me is that the property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I would rent this house again under similar circumstances.
