  We cannot praise 'Villa stunning views' enough! We were delighted with the breathtaking scenery, the peaceful surroundings and the warm welcome. The villa itself is clean, tidy and cosy. You can tell it's a family home because there is something special about it and every detail makes you feel welcome and 'at home'. Our children loved the pool and the garden. They were the happiest of our group, they really had the time of their lives. We had lunch in the terrace with views, but we also enjoyed the smart dining room table with candlelight and beautiful linens. The bedrooms had been refurbished, and the new mattress were a guarantee for a good night sleep. The bathrooms were very clean. We went hiking on the hills behind the villa. The property is only a short drive from Venice, Verona and the Dolomites. We hired a motorboat, we also went sailing. The location is great being a short distance from the beaches.   We are a big family of 7 from Holland. This is the best holiday property we've ever stayed in. We've rent it every year for two weeks in April since 2008. This year we were very impressed with the 2012 improvements: well done. The listing is very accurate and the property very well maintained. The view is the very best we have ever experienced in our life, it is just amazing, and that is why we love to return every year. The owners are a lovely family and they would go out of their way to help us. We would really recommend this property. We recommend: having a drink at the harbour in San Vigilio, hiring a boat, visiting the island Isola del Garda, taking a ferry to Sirmione, hiking in Monte Baldo, sightseeing in Venice (only 1 hour by train!), visiting Verona, Mantua and Vicenza, winetasting in Bardolino, winetasting in Valpolicella, buying olive oil at the wine museum in Cisano, going to Torri for the monday market, visiting Malcesine and its castle, hiring a bike to bike along the garda-bardolino route, or the riva-arco cycling route. If you like shopping don't miss the friday market in Garda. My sons are keen windsurfers, so they love Lake garda. BTW take the ferry to Maderno and then walk along the lakeside, it's wonderful. Last year we explored the mountains around the lake, they are just great for hiking. This year we played golf, the best golf course is only 4 miles from the villa, and we have played golf with great views of the lake. Whatever we do, we love to come back to the villa to spend the evening watching the sunset on the sunbeds near the pool, it is so peaceful and relaxing, sheer bliss. We love this property, it is highly recommended.

  This charming 19th-century villa is ideal for those looking for spacious and quality accomodation. It offers the best of both worlds being a stone's throw from the beach, yet standing peacefully in its own grounds. The lush green hillsides make this a wealthy domain for bird watching, walking, cycling or wild flower spotting. The bedrooms have been carefully renovated by its present owners with care and taste. The grand living rooms boast some impressive features such as beamed ceilings, a marble fireplace and terracotta foors. The property was well-maintained and clean, and facilities provided were excellent. We thought the accomodation was great, and it comfortably fitted our big group. If anything the website didn't show quite how large and beautiful everything was.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

  This is a great place on the cliffs above S.Vigilio and its famous royal summer residence. If you want an area of outstanding natural beauty, spectacular views with good beach access then this is the place for you. To wake up to those breathtaking views each morning was a tonic all of its own. The owners were delightful and helpful. The villa surpassed our expectations in every way. This made for a memorable experience. We would definitely return. Highly recommended.

  For 14 years my wife and I have enjoyed an annual vacation to Italy. Whilst we usually visit the Verona area, this year we decided not to stay in a hotel but to rent a villa and stumbled across this property on the internet. A little apprehensive we decided to give it a shot and so glad that we did, not only is it a peaceful location, but a clean and spacious property with character. There are amazing views of the lake, fresh air and is within a short distance from boutiques and restaurants and a beautiful historical castle. It has really put the romance back into our marriage and we'll most definitely be back next year! Thank you so much!!!

  We all had a really lovely time.It has a wonderful position overlooking the lake in the middle of a nature reserve. The house is very old and some parts need some tlc but we went knowing that it would be a very traditional house rather than a modern villa. The main bedrooms were very pretty and clean. The lady that owns the house is very helpful and friendly, she stocked our fridge and cupboards and gave us a huge information pack. Torri del Benaco is a lovely village but we ate out most days in Garda, Al Porto is a good restaurant. .Hire a boat for a couple of hours it's great fun.We also took the train to Venice, it was very hot but only took 1hr 40. We loved Lake Garda very much and we will definitely return.

  Diese Villa hat mit Sicherheit einen der schönste Blicke auf den Gardasee - und damit einen der schönsten auf der Welt. Dazu noch viel Platz für zwei Familien mit sehr vielen (auch kleinen) Kindern, einen riesigen Garten, den hübschen Ort Garda in der Nähe und eine sehr nette, entspannte Vermieterin - für uns war es der perfekte Urlaub. Bei unserer Anreise warteten schon mehrere gut gekühlte Flaschen Weißwein und einige Köstlichkeiten im Kühlschrank. Das Haus ist schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, aber nicht überdekoriert. Das war uns recht, schließlich sind unsere Kinder für sehr teure Einrichtung eine echte "Gefahr". Einmal pro Woche schauten zwei Putzfrauen vorbei - sehr angenehm! In nächster Nähe gibt es von Spitzengastronomie bis Imbissbude alles, was man möchte. Verona und Venedig sind für weitere Ausflüge gut zu erreichen. Fazit: Wir können dieses Domizil uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
