Our cosy home is located in a quiet neighbourhood in the coastal town of Qualicum Beach. The house is surrounded by flower, vegetable and fruit gardens, a greenhouse and a stand of rainforest trees. Sitting on the front deck enjoying the sun set is a delightful way to end the day. Morning breakfasts on the back porch overlooking our very private yard quickly brings you to that quiet peaceful place we all seek.

About the owner: Dale and I settled in this area after 5 years of off-shore sailing. We love being near the ocean yet in the rainforest. Our passion is living on Vancouver Island enjoying golfing, sailing, gardening and woodwork. Dale considers himself 'self employed,' making cedar-strip kayaks for the sheer pleasure of curving the wood and Kathy is a 'small scale' yoga instructor, teaching mostly out of the lower level of our home. We love to travel in the winter . . . to visit 2 grandchildren in Australia or to explore a new location. We have 10 little ones to keep up with, so always have somewhere to go. We lived and worked in Calgary for many years before settling here, Dale as an engineer and Kathy a teacher. Dale hails from the prairies, myself from the Ottawa valley. I love the French language and am anticipating starting up a yoga class in French to keep my mind balanced! Dale has done yoga with me but enjoys his time at Thai Chi. The community and homes in Qualicum Beach are a pleasure to behold--every yard and home has it's own individual aura, rainforest walking paths abound, local shops and restaurants are a delight and we have our very own golf course with views to the Straight of Georgia. And the Saturday morning market is amazing!
