Nice house on the lake. Quiet, relaxing. Had no problems during my month long stay. Frank was easy to work with when making plans and changes in length of stay. Frank and his wife upstairs were very friendly and hardly ever saw them. Nice and peaceful, and Yes, would definitely recommend for anyone going to the area. We stayed 4 nights in this fabulous house on the lake and we LOVED it!! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Actually, I asked Frank to just hold onto my security deposit for the next time we came to visit our son. Thanks again for a great weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it! The house is gorgeous......very clean and very kid friendly. The yard is perfect for the little ones. Dock area and beach area is also kid friendly. Makes it easy to relax and not worry! Would definitely stay in this house again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: Born and Raised on Long Island, NY. Always had a passion for the Water. Navy Veteran. Raised my family on a Water-Front home on Long Island that I personally built. Followed my son to North Carolina where we found and built this unique property. I live with my wife in the upper portion of this beautiful log home and enjoy renting out to guests our lower level. My grandchildren who are 7 and 4 often visit on the weekends. The lower level is totally separated with its own parking, entrance and lighted drive.
Why the Owner Chose Sherrills Ford:
I vacationed on Lake Norman for two summers and just knew I had to live here. I found this magnificent property in Sherrills Ford as an open lot. Me and my son developed and built my second dream house, A Log House.
