About the owner: Don, born and raised in Colorado married Donna, a New York Native nearly 30 years ago. Don has enjoyed the cabin since childhood, hiking, biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, climbing and exploring with his parents. We found a trail behind the cabin where a covered wagon had once tipped over. To this day old glass bottles can be dug up at this site. The trail opens to a large meadow and bubbling stream.
Why the Owner Chose Black Hawk: A family jewell passed on, now for others to enjoy as well. Colorado history abounds in the area. It is near Peak to Peak Highway which has the most beautiful sights available on the front range.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin: A huge feature is that the back door leads onto the Roosevelt National Forest. Hiking & mountain biking trails are feet away to springs and a nearby river. Wildlife prevails in the area; moose, dear and elk are common. Ghost towns surround the area, and are a short drive away.
