If you are looking for a place near the beach, near the attraction of world heritage sites in Split but enough far away from urban noise, or just a place for a truthful enjoyment of crystal clear seawater and stony beaches of southern Croatia, you have come to the right place for your holidays in Croatia.
Because the villa is situated in the center of southern Croatia (Dalmatia region), 100 meters from the beach and just 6km south of the 1700 year old town of Split, it will be the beautiful base from where you will explore the beauties of Croatia. Split is the center point for those exploring and sightseeing Croatia’s romantic coastline and extraordinary islands like Hvar, Brac, Vis, Solta and Korcula.

The top floor of Villa GG provides you the maximum capacity and comfort we can offer. It is th whole top level of the villa with 5 bedrooms on an surface of 200 m2 with a separate entrance. Comfortable accommodation for 10 persons. All bedrooms have their own bathroom and LCD TV. The living room is connected with the kitchen and can be fully integrated or separated (in case of bad weather) from the big roof terrace creating a common area for your family or friends of 100 m2 in total. Sunlongers, tables and chairs and a fantastic sight of the Croatian islands and Split at your disposal. Air conditioning, outside BBQ, 3 parking places on our yard with remote controls for the gate are also included in the price. * Bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, laundry room, air conditioning, heating, child cot, chair, wagon, final cleaning and Wireless Internet connection are included in the price.

We stay in the top roof apartment in Villa GG and it looks precisely as the picture showed and it is clean and practical. You don't need to think about bring towels, beach towels or washing powder, everything is included and available which is good. Grgo gives you good advice and know the neigbourhood which save you allot of time. 200 meters from villa GG you can find a bakery, supermarket and a bus stop. Very nice and clean apartment in Podstrana, a few miles away from Split. The apartment has a large and great terrace with a fantastic sea view and is very close to the beach and restaurants. It is very comfortable, recently renovated in a modern style. Always willing to facilitate our stay and making it as perfect as possible, Grgo the owner of the house, was very nice and helpful. We were 2 families, 4 adults and 5 children, so we wanted a big appartment: Grgo's appartment was exactly what we expected, with its 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, its huge balcony (with a great view) where we could eat all together. The appartment was very clean, modern, calm, pleasant and functional. Grgo was very nice and helped us with good advices (restaurants, taxis, places to visit...). His English is excellent, which makes communication easy. It's a good location if you plan to visit the surrounding area (Split, Trogir, the Kastela, and the Brac and Hvar islands). We initially took the bus to Split (20-30 min, KUN 13 or £1.3 /pers. each way) but it is very irregular and eventually we used cabs (about KUN 130 or £13). For longer trips Grgo helped us organise some excursions with Ante, who was very kind and patient. There is a 5-minutes walk from the house to the beach (with only one road to cross) and there are good restaurants on the beach but also in the old village, in the montain, where there is a wonderful view and a special, delicious dinner. We stayed in the middle floor apartment for a week and loved it. It really does live up to the description in the listing: spacious, clean, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The great TV was ideal for watching Olympic highlights after a long day exploring the local Podstrana beach attractions, or going further afield by hire car, bus or ferry to places suggested by Grgo, the owner: such as Hvar, Trogir, Omis, the National Park at Krk, the ruins at Salona, the Cetina river canyon, among others. So in the evenings we never got beyond the nearby restaurant, Amigos which was ideal for us. Grgo was business-like & friendly from the initial booking enquiry to our final departure. We had to wait for an evening flight & his family let us sit on their cool terrace instead of having to swelter in a crowded airport! Great place. Good people.Did you find this review helpful? Just stayed at Grgo's house for one week with my extended family. From the start, Grgo was so helpful, kind and accommodating. That continued through our arrival and to the very end. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. You are 5 min from the beach, market, bus stop, and restaurants. You don't need a car. The kitchen has everything and all you have to do is relax on the veranda overlooking the sea. The view is amazing!!! I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. One thing I noticed after being here is that some of the places look good in the pictures but when you get here it doesn't look that great, especially the locations. However, that is not the case with this house. The le meridian is down the street and if I came back I would choose this house over the hotel. I can't say enough good things about Villa GG. We were on the top floor, which has a to-die-for terrace on which we spent nearly all of our time. The view of the islands around Split and the ocean are unbelievable. I could have spent the entire vacation sitting right there. The apartment has five spacious bedrooms each with their own bath. It makes for a private experience even if you have lots of folks staying with you, as did we. Also, the separate kitchen off the patio is really handy since you don't have to wake people up in the morning while savoring the view with your cup of coffee. Also, the owner Greg is the best. Maybe you´ll have a look at the pictures and think: this must be an photo montage. Be sure, it is not. In reality it is even more wonderful than the pictures can show. Grgo is a perfect host and really thought about everything a rental flat should have. Last but not least, what ever he recommends to you...do it, eat it, try it! You won´t regret. Our family , 6 adults and 3 children , stayed a week at Villagg. It`s very nice and clean apartment and our gost Grgo and his family was very helpful and considerate. Great place to spend our vacation - clean beach and nice bath.Around the beach there are smal cozy reataurants. Podstrana as a place and people was a nice experience. We will surely come back! 10 points from all of us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We rented the top floor of Villa GG and it couldn´t have been better for us (two families with children and grandparents). Villa itself was very beautiful with wonderful view to the sea and particularly we enjoyed spending time at the terrace, beautiful sunsets and stars in the sky. Our extended family of 17, grandparents, teenagers, and young children included, had a wonderful stay at Villa GG this summer. This home has all the amenities of home with great location only steps away to Podstrana's beautiful beaches. The view of the spectacular Adriatic coast from the villa balcony is priceless. Our family fit very comfortably here with plenty of beds and the most fully equipped home we've ever stayed in. There is no need to bring anything extra from home - this villa has it all!!
