Chalet Alpstein is conveniently located just a few minutes easy walk from the train station with access to the mountains for skiing and walking. The village high street, shops and restaurants are three minutes walk. Just next door to the Chalet is the sports centre with indoor swimming pool, ice rink and sauna complex. The chalet has satellite TV, DVDs, and wireless internet. We have one apartment for 8 people, two apartments for 4 people and three studios for 2 people. Apartment Alpenrose has 3 twin bedrooms, 1 with en suite bath and toilet, two with showers, the fourth bedroom has bunk beds. It has a large sunny terrace with direct views over the Eiger. Apartment Edelweiss for 4 is a modern open plan apartment, with two twin bedrooms. Apartment Chamois for 4 has one bedroom with a double bed and one with twin bed. Both have sunny balconies with Eiger views. Studios Eiger, Jungfrau and Wetterhorn are all comfortable studios for 2, Jungfrau and Eiger have balconies with Eiger view.
Chalet Alpstein has a No Smoking Policy: Chalet Alpstein is really well located for easy access to the ski lifts (train and gondola) for a no hassle trip with skis and equipment in the winter and for access to the beautiful mountain hikes in the summer. The sport centre right next door provides extra activities for those who are not already exhausted including swimming . curling and a climbing wall. For those who prefer to relax there is a sauna, steam room and massage area. The shops and restaurants are just a couple of minutes away on the high street, where there is a large Co op for all grocery requirements.
The view of the Eiger from the Chalet is fantastic and the location is so convenient all our guests compliment us on what a wonderful location we have.
Alpenrose: Grindelwald Vacation Rental by Owner Listing 422328ha
Alpenrose can sleep up to 8 people. It has three double bedrooms each with twin beds. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with toilet. The other two each have their own shower and sink. The fourth bedroom is quite small with a bunk bed best suited for children. There is also a separate small room where a cot can be placed. There is a large open plan living and dining area, with working fireplace. The living area leads out to a large private terrace with magnificent views of the Eiger. The kitchen has a fridge/ freeze, 4 ring hob and electric fan oven. There is a dishwasher and microwave.
There is satellite television and a DVD player. There is a washing machine available for guests use in the basement for a small charge.
Wonderful week in Grindelwald. The Chalet Alpstein was our home base to vacation in the Berner Oberland region. The chalet was spacious and nicely appointed. A quick five minute walk from the Grindelwald train station made it easy to catch the train. The view from the spacious deck is spectacular. The beds were very comfortable. It was an added bonus to have a shower and sink in three of the four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a shower/tub, double sink and toilet. We found the accomidacations ideal for the six women in our group. The chalet location was quiet. The walk to the main street shops and restaraunts is convienant. I highly recommend staying at the Chalet Alpstein and would absolutely stay here when I am in Switzerland again.
Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing.

We spent a week in this lovely apartment. There was plenty of space for us and the terrace offered a stunning view of the Alps we'll surely remember. Right next to the centre and with direct access to the train to the Jungfrau, it was incredibly well located. Rosalind was extremely helpful and informative and we enjoyed throughly our holidays in Switzerland.
