We stayed in Akron for a cousins fun weekend over spring break. We are two family one from Michigan and one from New Jersey. Akron is halfway. We had a great time and the house was perfect for our two families. The open floor plan is perfect for a larger group like ours. The separate TV room was great to keep the kid noise down in the mornings. Overall a great house and a fun weekend for our families.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed the time with your family in our home. Our goal is to provide a beautiful place that gives our guests what we would like for our family when we are on vacation or staying in a place that is not our home. My husband and built this home and lived in it for 10 years. We enjoyed the beauty and peace and want the same for those who come to visit.

Our family of four stayed in this house for the week leading up to Christmas, and everything was just perfect. These folks do VRBO right! The house was 100% ready for our arrival, with beds made, towels on the racks, etc. There's a nice coffee maker and electric kettle, and a really huge refrigerator. Everything works, and there are great written instructions for everything. Cables are labeled so that you can easily figure out connecting your own music device to the stereo system, and the Wi-Fi Internet is fast and reliable. The attached garage has space for two cars and is a huge plus in the Ohio winter. The furniture and decor are very nice and everything is in excellent condition. I had family over for Christmas Eve, and everyone commented on how beautiful the house was. As far as the transaction itself goes, we did our part and left the house tidy and undamaged, and the owners did their part and promptly refunded our deposit. Everything about this transaction was handled very efficiently and in a very friendly manner. All communication was very polite and cordial. A Giant Eagle supermarket is not even five minutes away. (TIP: To get to the grocery store, head towards Tallmadge Circle, then turn right on Overdale and just keep following the road as it crosses Northwest Avenue, then take a left on Nottingham. Cross West Avenue at the light, and you'll be in the Giant Eagle parking lot, having skipped the sometimes-busy traffic circle.) Chapel Hill shopping mall is also a very easy drive, maybe 10 minutes away. I lived in Tallmadge as a kid, and I know the Akron area very well, and I can say without hesitation that Tallmadge is one of the safest, cleanest, friendliest places you could choose to stay. Emergency services are excellent, and there are two major hospitals within a 10-minute ambulance ride. To have a home like this available, furnished and decorated so nicely and located in such a great community, is simply wonderful. As my siblings and I have grown up and moved away, and my mom is living in a much smaller space than she used to, my visits to Ohio have become less frequent because of the hassles of trying to live with my family in a couple of hotel rooms. Now that we know about this great property, we'll be visiting much more frequently. A+, 100% satisfied, and will definitely return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank You! Thank You! Your review is exactly what we want for every guest who comes to stay in our home. We appreciate your comments! It is good to know you will be returning and now have a "home away from home" to stay in when you come to the Akron Area.

My husband and I stayed at this relaxing home away from home retreat. A very peaceful and inviting home. Very clean and updated with lots of windows to enjoy nature. This home has a very open floor plan. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and even the babbling waterfall in the backyard. The gas fireplace was so relaxing in the evening. It had lots extras. We enjoyed using our culinary arts with the array of cooking utensils available. We will be back for sure.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This home was truly a home away from home. Our 2 year old grandson had eye surgery. We went to Akron from Dayton, Ohio and Leesburg, Virginia two days early to give our grandson an opportunity to enjoy the home, inside and out. We all enjoyed the relaxing environment during a very emotional time for our family. After the surgery, this home was a blessing for all of us. We were able to support each other, prepare our meals at "home," and relax while the healing started. His surgeon was very pleased with his progress when we went for the first check-up. I would highly recommend this home for any family, but especially for families in search for a home near any of Akron's hospitals.Owner response: We are so happy to hear our home was just what you needed while going through a difficult time for your family as your grandson had eye surgery. We want our home to be a place of refuge and close family times and your experience has helped us know our place is all we had hoped for. Blessings to you and see you again in a few short weeks.

I visited this property last summer and it is an amazing home to vacation in. The best part was being able to sit in the kitchen and eat breakfast with our family and be able to have the view of the back yard. It is green, full of flowers, and just looking at it is peace and relaxation! The owners of this home were pleasant to deal with and made our stay stress free! The house is set up and fully furnished. I would suggest anyone who wants to relax and feel at home to stay here! We will be backRecommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your time in our home. That is our goal. We look forward to your next visit! We aim to please and bless!!!
