This was a fantastic place for my wife and I to stay during a ski trip to Mount Washington. It's a very nice place to come home to after a day of skiing. Very modern and clean, yet still very cozy. The location was perfect, still within a quick drive to the ski area, but away from the craziness of the ski village in a much more down to earth country-side setting. Also close to the water and Courtenay and Comox - generally a great base to explore the area from. The hosts were very friendly and kindly mailed us an item we had left behind.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you for providing such a lovely guesthouse! We had a great time skiing at Mt. Washington. It was very relaxing to come back here each night. Very quiet and had everything we needed. A home away from home.

Although our stay in town was not as expected, Steve and Hilary were so accommodating and helpful when we were in trouble. The cabin is lovely and did have everything we needed. Thanks again, hopefully on our next stay we can ski more!

To Steve, Hilary and the boys, We have had such a wonderful stay at your guesthouse; so comfortable that it feels like home. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the peace and quiet whilst watching the deer was perfect. Thank you so much for being great hosts and allowing us to share your haven. Beautiful Location, Great Rental!

My wife and I really enjoyed staying in this cozy and well furnished unit for a few days. Located comfortably outside of Courtenay, it was secluded, relaxing, and accessible for lots of day activities. Great spot to vacation, especially over the winter - right next door to Mt. Washington. We'll have to come back and use that nice fireplace to warm up after a full day on the slopes. Thanks for everything Hillary and Steve!

Comfortable, private, well-appointed guest house on acreage. Friendly greeting on arrival. Exceptionally quiet location in the country. Short drive to twin cities of Courtney-Comox. Close to waterfront recreation. Fully equipped kitchen. Also BBQ. Highly recommended.

The apartment is new: 3 years running now. We did find there all we needed. The owners live in the next house, so if we had problems we always could contact them. That proved unnecessary. Negative points? Not really. A place to sit in the garden downstairs would have been nice. Now we used the balcony. The owners told us that they have planned to improve the garden. We have been very happy there, would like to return. Jo & Carien (couple from Holland)

Dear Steve, Hilary and the boys, We had a wonderful visit here. Your guesthouse is the nicest place we have stayed in our several trips here to visit our family. We are also thinking that the amazing experience yesterday kayaking around Hornby Island with the orcas is a sure sign we should follow through on our plans to build our own guesthouse! Dear Steve, Hilary and family, Thank you so much for letting us stay in your guesthouse - it was the nicest accommodation of our 'tour' of Vancouver Island. Our holiday was blessed with wonderful weather, but your lovely home made it perfect. What a fabulous ski/NY's Eve trip this turned out to be! The guesthouse is just lovely - very quiet and relaxing. I love your decorating, Hilary - beautiful, calm colours and comfy furnishings. The warm and cozy fireplace was perfect after our day at the ski hill. We'll be back!

Thank you so much for your hospitality. This place was exactly as I needed - quiet, restful, in nature. I intend to come back. I appreciate very much that my dog was allowed to come. We walked a lot on the local trails, went to the beach to see the sunset, and then relaxed/slept. I echo other guests' comments and I will recommend others to come here.

April-May 2010 I came searching for restoration, beauty and peace. Even though I had a pressing work project for the weeks I was here, the tranquility was luxurious and exactly what I needed to focus and relax. Blueberry Ridge Guesthouse is conveniently close to beautiful beaches and a town with all amenities plus truly excellent dining venues. There are also miles of walking/running paths through the forest! Hilary and Steve and family are special, warm hosts who immediately make you feel welcome, and they keep the home immaculate. I so appreciated the generous attention to decorating detail and consider this guesthouse to be a model of rustic luxurious elegance. Thank you Steve, Hilary, Andrew, James and Mark. I hope to see you again!
