This is the perfect home for family reunions, weddings, business retreats, special birthday or other celebrations, or other groups wishing to rent and split the cost. There are lovely private sleeping quarters, large open gathering places and a great kitchen and yard. Our home is in a beautiful executive neighborhood with U.S. Forest Service land right across the street. Gorgeous views abound. Enjoy our home's amenities including 6 large beautifully appointed bedrooms; we also have a sofa bed in the living room, and two twin sized sleeper chairs. There are 4 1/2 bathrooms and two water heaters so you won't run out of hot water! Relax in our new 6 person outdoor hot tub after a day of skiing under the beautiful star filled night sky!! Watch movies in our home movie theatre with seating for eight+, play Wii, Guitar Hero, or Play Station 3 games. The Master Bedroom boasts a lovely view with a peek of Lake Tahoe; it has a large Whirpool tub, a sauna shower, and a fireplace, it's luxurious! That was one of the best rentals my family has ever been in! We had a crazy crew...toddlers, college students, young adults, an engaged couple, parents and grandparents. There was room to spare for everyone. And, the owners were super accommodating. They catered to our youngsters w/ port-a-cribs high chairs etc. and for the adults percolators and coffee grinders . New snow had fallen while we were there. The house has sleds and extra boots snow pants and anything else you would want. The owners were always available to let us know about hiking paths favorite restaurants and our silly architecture questions. After leaving the place we realized we left an important item. The owners shipped it to us. Their hospitality was totally and without exaggeration phenomenal. I will always very highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Loved our stay at this vacation home. The place had a lot of cool amenities. The home theater room with a popcorn maker was our families favorite nighttime spot. We took a day off from skiing and got great use of the backyard. My husband and I sat in the jacuzzi and watched while my kids took their kids sleigh riding. After a day of skiing we enjoyed the jetted tub and/or the steam shower. The place was well maintained and the owners were very helpful whenever we had a problem. You can't go wrong with this rental property. It's a winner!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I took a group (12) of work colleagues to Lake Tahoe for a few days and we stayed at this home in Kingsbury. Lisa and her husband were VERY accomodating and the house had ALL the ammenities. It's less than 5 minutes away from the Casinos and Heavenly which was perfect for us becuase we skied and snowboarded all day and then we found ourselves at the Casinos later :). The movie room was terrific and the beds were very comfortable. The house had plenty of towels, linens, and tons of cooking ware. I would definetley receommend staying here! Great hospitality!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family just spend 4 nights in Tahoe for my son's wedding. We stayed at this wonderful home!! It was lovely!! There were 12 of us all together. All the men loved the Home Theatre watching all the football games. The kitchen is to die for!! The younger folks enjoyed the hot tub!! Loved the fireplace in the living room with all the wood you supplied!! Everyone slept very comfortable. Wonderful place for our family! Would love to go back in the summer!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

We stayed in this wonderful house from Dec. 21 to Dec. 28, 2012. It was a family trip for 8 adults and 5 children (ages 8 down to 15 months). We had a perfect time. The house is great and all 13 of us were extremely comfortable. We could have quiet time if we wanted and we all ate together at most meals. The house is the BEST EQUIPPED house you could ever want. Games for the kids, a movie theater with WII and movies. A parlor with big screen TV. Movies galor. Games and puzzles. The kitchen has every possible amenity and applicance you could ever want. No need to bring anything. It snowed most of the time we were there and the property was great for the kids as we built a long sled run for them - they used it almost every waking hour. The house is minutes from the casinos and skiing, and restaurants as well. The master suite is a dream. Big shower and jacuzzi as well. What makes renting this house so easy is that the owners were right next door. You could not hope for nicer people. They kept the driveway and stairs clear of snow. We even borrowed eggs one evening when we didn't want to make a run to the store in the snow. There was even snow clothes and boots for adults and kids, saucers and a sled for our use as well. Everything in the house was easy to use and there were instructions, but we had a few things we needed to know and our phone calls and texts were answered immediately. We hope to go back in the summer and we highly recommend this house and the owners. Everything was as it was stated on the website and all 13 of us had comfortable sleeping arrangements and separate bathrooms for all the adults.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Winter: January 2nd-April 15th $750.00 per night. Spring: April 16-June 9th $600.00 per night. Summer: June 10-September 8th $750.00 per night. Fall: September 9-December 19th $600.00 per night except for Thanksgiving week. Thanksgiving Week, Fourth of July Week and special event dates $850.00 per night. Christmas Week through New Year's Day $975.00 per night. A $300.00-$500.00 cleaning fee, as well as a 13% county room tax will be charged. About the owner: Lisa grew up in the Palo Alto/Los Altos part of the Bay Area and spent time here at Lake Tahoe snow skiing and dreamed of living here one day. Jim grew up in Colorado near Denver and spent a lot of time skiing and Jeeping in the Rocky Mountains surrounding there. Once married with kids they spent time up at Tahoe together skiing and enjoying all that Tahoe has to offer. The dream to live here permanently grew and eventually a permanent move was made and we made home Lake Tahoe.
Why the Owner Chose Kingsbury:
This home is located in what we think is the ideal spot. It is literally 5 to 7 minutes from the Boulder chair lift at Heavenly Valley on the Nevada side. The new Gondola is 5 minutes from home along with beautiful Edgewood Golf Course. There are many other golf courses nearby too, even a great 9 hole public course we frequent called Bijou. Our house is right across from U.S. Forest Service land and a hiking and mountian biking trail that goes all the way to and past the Gondola is there. Lake Tahoe and the beaches are 1 mile from us as the crow flies, 5 minutes by car to Nevada Beach, 7 minutes to Round Hill Pines Beach, 9 minutes to Zephyr Cove. These beaches offer boat, jet ski and paddle boat rentals. Add to all this that it is a nice large comfortable home and to us it is one of the best places on earth!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Along with everything already mentioned in 'Why This Property' we have croquet and a horseshoe pit ready for your use, a chess table set up, as well as a large collection of games, puzzles, cards, and art supplies. Within minutes you can be at the beach, on a ski lift, at one of the casinos, or one of Harrah's/Harvey's great outdoor summer concerts with groups like Chicago, The Dobie Brothers, Toby Keith, Nora Jones or The Beach Boys. Edgewood Golf Course is less than a mile from our house and every July the Celebrity Golf Tournament arrives which is great fun and an opportunity to see many of your favorite athletes and celebrities. To sum it up, we live in what we think is the perfect place-beautiful and peaceful on one hand with any number of great fun things to do at a moments notice only minutes away. You are bound to have boisterous fun or quiet relaxation, whichever suits you and yours on a given day.
