Great Week in Sand Key
Great Week in Sand Key
Great place to stay in a great spot on Sand Key, Clearwater Beach. This condo is in lovely recently remodeled shape, comfortable, convenient and a real charmer. The bed was firm and slept very well. Probably thee most stocked VRBO kitchen I have ever had the pleasure to cook in. A garlic press? I have never seen a garlic press in a VRBO before. Lots of pots and pans and utensils and a comfortable bar to eat at. Pint beer glasses? Like I said, well stocked and well situated. Great beach view from the fair sized deck. I had breakfast at the deck table every morning. Nice large pool. 2 minutes to the beach, 5 minute walk to the 2 big hotels nearby (great restaurant at the Marriott) and a short trolley ride (buy the 7 day pass for $20.00!) to Clearwater Beach publix and bars and restaurants. The trolley pass also transfers to the PSTA trolleys which go all the way down to Sarasota. You can't go wrong here and the owners were extremely responsive and helpful. I will be back!

Great location right on the beach! There is construction taking place in the garage parking area which is noisy, but we spent our time during the day enjoying fantastic weather on the water. A few beach towels would have been nice because of the obvious location. This was better than a simple hotel room, as it has the kitchen so we could have breakfast and coffee in the morning and didn't feel as if we needed to have every meal out at a restaurant.

Stayed for two weeks, first of June. We are a mid-60's couple. Beautiful view from balcony. Miles of nice beach to walk on. Bed was comfortable as well as the two auto-recliner sofas. Everything worked fine. Need a screen frame for sliding door (which the owners say is on order). A bit of confusion on how to set the thermostat but it kept us cool the whole time. Owners were nice and got a new DVD/Blue Ray player for the unit because there wasn't one there when we arrived. Flat screen TV. Wireless internet worked fine. Not a huge room if you have kids but worked well for us as a couple. Not a 55+ condo complex, so kids took up the pool much of the time. However, peaceful and quiet. Across street from market, gift store, couple cafes and two nice restaurants. Drive across the causeway gets you to public Clearwater Beach/Pier 60 area in 5 minutes. Tip to Owner; to prevent blackbirds from lighting and pooping on balcony railing, we saw an on-line article stating to use a fish-line-type filament wire attached to both sides of the outside balcony walls (with a rod at the middle joint),and stretched taut a couple inches above balcony railing. This will keep the birds from landing on the balcony railing. We tied a small plastic grocery bag, (like you get at the grocery), to the railing and the breeze kept it moving and kept the birds away. But, the fish line would be more aesthetically pleasing. Owner gave a very reasonable price compared to others I had checked. I would recommend this to friends.

The complex was well maintained. The view was absolutely beautiful and that made the stay worthwhile. The one recommendation would be to add a couple of comfy chairs to the balcony. The apt was clean and had all the necessary kitchen equip. We didn't receive any paperwork or instructions but the guard was great and helped us with our parking spot and other info that is necessary in this complex.

This studio condo has a magnificent view of the Gulf. My favorite part was sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves and watching the sunset. The condo was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom does need some work and the condo could use a coat of paint. Other than that, the condo was perfect for us and the people in the building were very friendly. There were many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Next time I would ask for a second set of keys as my husband and I didn't always do everything together. The owners were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property to others.
