This is a wonderfully private place to stay. Close to town but not in town. Upscale neighborhood, great plunge pool. Pictures are just like the real thing. Clean and maintained. Didn't give it 5 stars because it felt a little like camping. Had to prepare food using only plastic forks,(only 2) and the cheapest possible paper plates, had to buy our own. BBQ worked great. If you plan on eating out every meal and don't need a kitchen then you won't have a problem. Be sure you get the directions before you leave for your trip. Owner was very helpful. Be sure to take advantage of the outdoor shower, if you can find it!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Room was quite spacious, clean and modern. Just far enough away from resort crowds yet close enough to beach although it's a pretty steep climb coming back so walking may not be for everyone. Perfect place for afternoon siesta after a morning of activities. Didn't use the pool at all. Would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We absolutely loved staying at this property. It was just as clean, spacious, and well kept as the pictures that are posted. It was much more relaxing than dealing with the resort crowds (we stayed at a resort for the fist 6 nights of our trip). We found this property to be much more romantic, private, and relaxing and it was still so close to shopping, beaches, and restaurants. Shaved ice and banana bread was just a short walk down the hill with a beautiful view of the ocean. Our stay here was deffinitely the highlight of our vacation and would highly recommend to anyone.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

This was our first trip to Maui. My husband and I came to photograph a wedding so we needed to stay near the bride and groom and their venue, but wanted to avoid the expensive and crowded resorts. This place was perfect. Near everything, but away from the crowds. The unit was clean and decor was beautiful. We enjoyed having access to the pool as well. The only request/recommendation I would make is the check-in process. I had to email and ask for the address the day before we departed. Our flight was late so we arrived at night and had no idea how to access the unit (it is in the back yard but we didn't know that). I received an email that said the door was open. After stumbling through the back gate in the dark, we found it and got settled in. Most places I have rented in the past either had a welcome note with tips about the unit, the area, where to eat, beach access, etc. or the owner/manager was present to answer questions. We got neither here. Thank goodness we had Yelp to point us toward food and beach access. Other than that, this place was perfect, the price was right, and I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

I cannot say enough about our stay at this property for my wife's medical conference held at the Hyatt ($400 per night, smaller room, more people, no cooking facilities which would necessitate every meal out in a very expensive place). The room is extremely spacious, a full bedroom, bathroom and master closet which is part of a high-end and beautifully appointed home a very short drive or not too far walk to the beach and shops in Kaanapali. There is a refrigerator large enough to hold most things, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker, a dvd player, plasma TV (large), natural stone floors and shower, AC, and the BBQ grill outside has a side burner. So this is what we did: Stopped at Costco on way from airport, picked up some food, including fantastic lobster tails and steaks (expensive but a fraction of our subsequent meals at Mala and Roy's) as well as a fantastic soft-sided cooler we used to hold ice from the ice store (so cool, next to Safeway in Lahaina, use a CC and for $2.75 every day 20 lbs of ice gets dispensed into the bag--it is even remotely operated if there is a problem! then we folded it up and brought it home), Safeway for more items (you can load better prices on your Just for U app for the Lahaina store!), Ross's for some more glasses, plates, silverware and two pots which we used on BBQ or burner (B, maybe you could provide two--one large for general stir-frying/sauteeing which can withstand the heat of the BBQ and one to boil water or sauces for everyone to use to make everything perfect, as well as maybe some inexpensive silverware), a case of wine we packed in a bag ($20 fee on airline, nothing compared to the ridiculous prices for wine in HI) and we were completely insulated from the high prices in Maui. Seriously, great car, house (don't forget the pool if you want to use it although we couldn't figure out how to heat it), great food, wine, location and we spent like $2500 for a week in Maui with airfare, including 2 overpriced meals at "fine" restaurants! The property manager answered phone or called within 5 minutes for any of my questions or needs, each and every time. Cannot wait for a return and to use this wonderful property! Thank you!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
