The master suite loft on the top floor boasts two stories of windows allowing beautiful sunrise and moon rise views all from the comfort of your bed...the epitome of romance!!!! In addition to the master suite there are 2 queen bedrooms, one kids room equipped with bunk beds as well as a pull out couch, sectional sofa and a twin size window seat allowing for max. of 12 people.
The kitchen located on the 2nd floor has 360 degrees of panoramic ocean front views which will comfortably seat 12 diners. The kitchen table is tucked between a gorgeous 150 gallon fish tank and oceanfront windows as well as the balcony table perfect for oceanfront dinning. The open living room and eat in kitchen is perfect for entertaining both small and large groups all the while allowing the hostess to be in the center of the gathering with views galore!!!!
The bottom floor has a bedroom, bathroom and playroom perfect for a family or for all the kids to play in. The playroom has a mini fridge, loads of games and flat screen TV for hours of entertaining the children while the adults can gather on the main floor in the family room and on the ocean front balcony.
The grand finale is the oceanfront Tiki Bar. This octagon shaped fully equipped bar has 2 mini fridges, coolers, a sink, BBQ and all the needed entertaining necessities. Watch the sun set in the West and the moon rise out of the ocean from the comfort of your own private Tiki Bar.

Our stay at Beach Bums was picture perfect, literally. Ann and Michael were very attentive and accomodating to our needs. This vacation home is close to all the amenities in St. Augustine to site see and be "touristy", yet secluded enough that we felt we had our own private beach. We stayed over Spring Break and even though the tourists were out in droves in town, we could still get away from it all at our private oasis. There were 12 of us all together from 3 fabulous families and a great time was had by all. We could easily dolphin watch and spy the avid fisherman on the beach from the decks around the house, or from in the house for that matter. One member of our crew stated the best seat in the house is the great room couch by the side window, you can see everything! So between sunrise strolls and sunset hikes down the beach. Fabulous meals prepared by our "resident chef" in the well appointed kitchen. Nightly games of tag in the sand. Drinking your morning coffee out on the deck watching the picturesque sunrise. Relaxing with your favorite adult beverage on the deck while watching your kids play and shell on the beach. Enjoying the sun and heated pool at the nearby beach club. Take your pick...but put it all together, it makes for one fantastic vacation. Must haves; scones from the Spanish Bakery and Pizza Time, both in historic St. Augustine area.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family stayed over Thanksgiving week. The house is in terrific shape and had everything needed for a relaxing stay: Terrific location close to Vilano, and a few wonderful restaurants. The beach views and sunrises are incredible. However, the Tiki bar is the absolute best! (We grilled up some fantastic seafood with the grill and the smoker). Many thanks to Anne and Michael who went out of their way to ensure our stay was exceptional! We will surely be back! We celebrated my 50th birthday and it was a blast! Even with Hurricane Sandy very close to the coast we had a great time. This home has a lot of character and it is perfect for entertaining. You won't be disappointed!! The location is great. Downtown is 6 minutes away and there is a Publix nearby. Great restaurants are close by and the view of the Ocean is right in front of you. The master bedroom is open and on the top floor with an amazing view of the ocean. It seems like you are surfing the waves from your bed. Will rent again for sure!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our extended family (parents, brother and our family of three) were the first to stay at this wonderful beachside home. The property manager, Ann, was more than accomodating and, like the home, had lots of character. The home was well appointed and tastefully decorated. The location was ideal - directly on the beach with little traffic, close to St Augustine and Villano Beach. The house is older but well maintained and updated. The house has a lot of unique features - aquariam, spiral staircase and tiki bar. The three decks were ideal. The openness of the main floor (kitchen, living room, breakfast bar and dining table) made for a great group space. The downstairs TV room made for a quiet space and game area. We had to be careful with our four year old on the spiral stairs, but it was not a big issue and there were gates. The spiral stairs would be an issue for older inviduals or those with disabilities. The master is upstairs in a loft type of setting (semi-open), but we liked it, particularly since you could see the ocean from it. The other three bedrooms were good. Overall, we had a great stay, and we would stay there again. We thought it was a good value relative other VRBO places that we had stayed. The best meal that we had was at Caps on the Reef - very close to the house - and the sunset was impressive.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

About the owner: After traveling the world as a flight attendant I have returned to my favorite city... St Augustine, Florida. I went to Flagler College and I always knew I would return to this magical, seaside, historical city of my youth. This has been our beach home exclusively the last decade and has been used exclusively for our friends and family. After years of enjoying this family treasure we have decided to open it up as a rental so other families from around the world can experience this slice of heaven too.

With the demands of life being so intense and life speeding by us we wanted a place that we could STOP, take a deep breath, regroup and enjoy our children... to be in the MOMENT. The second we open the door and see the ocean and our private beach our pulse slows down and we call physically feel our bodies go AHHHHHH!!!!

The charm of this home swept me off my feet the first time I walked through the doors. Built in 1975 and completely remodeled in 2005 this house is the perfect blend of charm and class. From the hard wood floors, cathedral ceiling with exposed wood beams, 2 stories of ocean front windows, the spiral staircase in the center of the home and the panoramic ocean front views one can really add years to their life by spending time at this jewel of a home.
