  A highly recommended and beautiful place. The photos don't do this place justice it is FABULOUS. The owner is super easy to work with and frankly just a nice guy. We will book this again for sure!

  This is a lovely condo with all the amenities of home. The bed was comfortable and nothing could beat the sound of crashing waves lulling us to sleep at night! We slept with the slider open every night. We always felt very safe and secure, not just on the premises, but walking around the neighborhood. This is saying a lot because it was just myself and my 13 year-old daughter (2 lone females). Everyone was friendly and helpful. The beach is absolutely amazing, with NO crowds! We were in the water everyday. It was sparkling clean, warm, and beautiful. You can't beat that! We did have a rental car to drive around the island. That's a necessity because all the touristy sites are a bit of a distance away. Also, rush hour traffic is horrible and to be avoided at all costs. But at the end of the day, it was great to be able to come back to the comfort, peace and quiet of our private beach and watch the sunset. One must do activity: hike Ka'ena Point State Park. This beautiful natural wonder is just a few minutes drive north of the condo (at the end of Farrington Highway, Rt. 93). Bring water and wear proper shoes. The views are spectacular, with volcanic rock cliffs, spouting whales, all kinds of birds, local fisherman, etc. Although we didn't get to the end because we started our hike too late in the day, we were told there is a bird sactuary and monk seals there. I can't wait to go back and finish the trail! Food wise: we didn't eat at any of the restaurants in town. Instead, there is a little grocery store nearby and we took full advantage of the kitchen. One restaurant we do recommend, however, is Zippy's. This is a chain found on the Hawaiian islands and a favorite of the locals. We had discovered it the last time we were in Hawai'i and sought it out on this visit. We weren't disappointed and will make it a tradition to eat there from now on. Great food, huge portions and the service is amazing. Nothing gourmet here, but great comfort food Hawaiian style! In conclusion: This is an outstanding place to stay if you're looking to get away from the crowds. It's safe, clean, quiet, comfortable - all at bargain price!

  We had a peaceful and relaxing time in this place, away from the busy, noisy Waikiki. The condo provided all we needed during the stay. Watching sunset, listening to the sound of the ocean, and watching my son playing on the beach right from the lanai was such an amazing memory. We want to come back again in the future vacation. As another review, yet the bed is so soft, and lots of homeless around in this area.

  This clean, updated condo was perfect for our weeks vacation. The ocean view out the back was worth it alone. Walk right out on to the most magnificent beach around: quiet, beautiful, secluded. Get a rental car and bring some groceries and enjoy the good life! The condo takes care of the rest! We switched to another condo mid-vacation and already wish we were back at this one. Get out and snorkel, do some hiking, drive up to the North Shore and watch the surfers! We would absolutely rent this unit again and Jose was quick to respond to all our needs; going above and beyond. Mahalo and aloha!!

  This was an excellent choice for anyone wanting to get away from the tourist hubbub. The beach was wonderful and the condo was well-equipped. Only the bed is a drawback. It's a very soft memory foam mattress. Not particularly comfortable, but we slept okay. The unit was clean and had beach toys and all the kitchen appliances and cookware you would need for making you own meals. There aren't any fine dining establishments in the area, but fast-food is plentiful. There's an awesome hike out to the point at the western edge of the island - a must-see. We had a small issue with accessing the property, because the owner did not send access information before we left home and sent it to the wrong email address. We were able to contact him by phone when we got there, though, and the security personnel was also very helpful.

  Owner response: Pat, we appreciate your input and just would like to recall that I am on top of my guests needs. I personally sent the access instructions to the email that formerly requested the reservation and did send it timely... that was solved when you called me and we spoke on the phone. Regarding the comfort of the bed, I am listening and trying to satisfy preferences. Some guests mention that they slept like a baby due to the ocean oxygen and along to the sound of the waves. Thank you, I still believe we deserve 5 stars.

  Nice place to spend a week. The beach is one of the best on the island. There are a few more close by if you get bored. Wonderful to have the sliding glass doors open all night to listen to the waves. Lots of turtles, whales that could be seen from the room. Place was stocked with beach gear which is a huge plus. I hate having to buy beach chairs everywhere we go. We have stayed in Makaha area a few times. We love the non-touristic feel. There are drawbacks though. A lack of eating establishments (good ones!) and a bit more riff raff. You can find that anywhere though. For food you can drive into Ewe or further if you like. Or just use the kitchen. By the way the Sunset Grill you want to go to is at Rest Camp beach. The other one is a locals bar. The condo was well stocked and clean. The bed was indeed soft, but I like it that way. Other than that, I'd highly recommend it, especially for the price.

  We had a great time staying here. The surf lulled us to sleep every night and woke us in the morning. This is on the "country" side of Oahu and you can even hear roosters crow in the morning. Gloriously NOT the typical Honolulu experience. It is also the side of the island with one of the best snorkeling beaches anywhere, Makaha beach. It is also where the tours for swimming with dolphins go all the time. We had some good wind while we were here in January, so the surf on this side of the island got a bit too high for our comfort for anything other than running and splashing in the waves as they washed up on the beach, but I understand that it is calmer most other times of the year. This is a very nice property with secure entry and was very quiet. We didn't hear the neighbors at all. There are plenty of beach toys in the apartment, as well as towels, so we didn't need to bring too much more to have a great time. This is a long way west on Oahu, we would definitely recommend a car to anyone who stays here. Even still, the furthest part of the island (like the Polenesian Cultural Center - a MUST see location) was no more than an hour away by car (as long as you avoid traveling through Honolulu during rush hour). The owner was very good about answering questions and the property was just as he described it. The refund of the security deposit was quick and there were no negative surprises in the rental process. It was very smooth and efficient. We were very pleased and highly recommend it to anyone that wants a peaceful Oahu vacation.

  This rental was perfect for my family of four. We found this condo beautifully decorated, clean and well maintained just as described. My husband and I were able to relax with all the comforts of a fully stocked kitchen, and we all (especially my grade-school aged children) loved the beach!! We greatly appreciated and made good use of the beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards and snorkel equipment that was provided in the renal. It truly is one of the most beautiful beaches we saw anywhere on the island. We visited in December and it was almost always rainy on the northern, eastern, and southern shores, but almost always perfect on our beautiful beach. We saw beautiful fish and sea turtles came right up to us! This is the perfect place to choose if you want to relax and enjoy the beach. I would recommend a rental car if there is any desire to explore the rest of the island. The drive to the various tourist locations is a bit tedious as the roads are mostly restricted to 30 mph, but it never takes more than 1.5 hours to get anywhere. The only negative that I could think of regarding this rental is the bed is far to soft for my taste. I would recommend this rental (especially the beach it is on) to anyone as a great value for the the money! I hope to bring my family back one day!

  I loved west Oahu. Waianae is a wonderful small town. Our condo was on the most beautiful beach on the island. The view was outstanding. The bed and pullout bed were comfortable. The place was perfect for us. Jose was a terrific host. He made sure that our stay was most enjoyable. I would definitely rent from him again.

  Great location on the beach. The beach isn't crowded. We loved sitting at the table with the sliding glass door open and listening to the water in the evening. Nice secure building. We would definitely stay here again.
