This was heaven...

Guest: SeMone (Salem, NH)
Date of Stay: 04/20/12 Review Submitted: 04/26/12

When I was invited to go away to a cabin in the woods, I never expected this. When we pulled up to the house (not cabin) my jaw dropped and then when we went inside, I knew I was in heaven. The vacation at the "cabin" was so beautiful being totally unplugged and the peace and serenity I felt was beautiful. Being so quiet, listening to the birds and within 5 minutes or so, while we were standing on the porch, there walks a moose across the driveway. All weekend I said "this is heaven". I thank you so much for opening your home to us and offering every accommodation anyone would need. We hated to leave and go back to the hustle and bustle of our real life but the feelings we enjoyed that weekend will stay with us forever and whenever I get stressed I can just close my eyes and remember what "heaven" felt like. Thank you again sooooooooooooo much...We can't wait to go back!!

Linger Longer In The Spring!

Guest: Artie (Sale, NH)
Date of Stay: 04/20/12 Review Submitted: 04/23/12

What a wonderful weekend me and my significant other had at Linger Longer. The cabin is beautiful and CLEAN! It was stocked with just about everything we needed. The only thing you need to bring is some towels and food. The game room and rec area was great. This is THE place to wind down and unplug. 30 minutes after our arrival a moose walked across our driveway about 35 yards away! There's all kind of activities you can do on the land itself or off campus at state parks etc. My girl and I actually got some good target practice and range shooting in. Paul was great and followed through with me everystep of the way to make sure our trip was pleasant and enjoyable. It's pretty cool that they are dog friendly too. AJ was in heaven! We'll be back soon for sure!

Great place

Guest: Jason55 (-)
Date of Stay: 03/03/12 Review Submitted: 03/13/12

Great place in a secluded area with easy access to trails, and not too far from Mt. Washington either. Also close to plenty of small New England towns, none of which seemed to be much of a tourist trap. Paul was great to deal with, and the folks at the store where you pick up the key were just as wonderful.

A great cabin in a great location.

Guest: Sunshine (Pittsburgh, PA)
Date of Stay: 03/03/12 Review Submitted: 03/11/12

We had a great week at Linger Longer. There was plenty of land for our dog to run around in the snow and we were able to do some snowshoeing on the property. The owner called to make sure were had arrived ok, and also was able to suggest to places to go see. The local store was also a great resource for local info (including a mechanic when the car behaved badly). Mt Washington was a short drive away and such a great site to see. The game room was a great way to spend a night in. This place would be great for any get together whether it's a couples vacation, family retreat, or a "man-cation."

Yearly Snowmobile Get-A-Way

Guest: The Snowmobile Gang (MA & NH)
Date of Stay: 02/20/12 Review Submitted: 03/07/12

Our family had a wonderful time at Linger Longer. We were able to snowmobile right from the property on to the trails. One day we enjoyed a campfire, cooking hot dogs and smores at the fire pit while the kids went sledding. We have a large family 8 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs the cabin was very spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated. Everyone enjoyed the game room. Looking forward to returning next winter for our annual snowmobile vacation with the hopes of more snow and maybe a moose sighting. Thanks Linger Longer for letting us stay at your cabin.

This is our second trip to Linger Longer and we were not dissapointed. The Log Cabin is large and very clean.Paul called us the day we got to the Cabin and my friends thought it was an excellent way to create good will by the owner. The Cabin is secluded but near some nice places to eat. We traveled to Dixville Notch and to the Canadian Boarder. We drove to No. Conway and to the MT Washington Hotel. You can never get such a bargin in the Great North Woods. If you like the woods and great accomadations, then try Linger Longer. B.W. Roy - Fitchburg, Mass.

Date of Stay: 11/08/11 Review Submitted: 11/27/11

Seven of my buddies and I rented the cabin for a guys weekend. The place is unbelievable and we had a blast, it’s the ultimate getaway! There was plenty of room to accommodate everyone, and it was very clean. The game room is great, its like the ultimate man cave for hours of fun! I couldn’t have designed a better vacation house. There is plenty of room to ride 4 wheelers and snowmobiles. The owner Paul was a pleasure to rent from and made sure we had everything we needed. I look forward to returning next year, thanks Paul!! Date of Stay: 09/20/11 Review Submitted: 09/29/11

This is our second year staying at the cabin and like last year it was perfect. The weather was great the color good and wildlife to be seen where ever we went. More trails to ride in Jericho park and Success and the ATVing was excellent. Caught lots of fish and was picking blueberries down the road at Blueberry Heaven and they were loaded big and sweet who knew they were still picking into Sept. Still needed more that a week to do it all, next year have to make it longer. We really love this place and wish it were ours.

I spent a week in early September at the Linger Longer property. The cabin was equipped with all the comforts of home, all you needed to bring was food. But if you didn't, there is plenty of trout fishing within walking distance. Whether you like fly fishing or rod and reel, there is plenty to be done. The neighbors in the area are more than friendly, as well. So if you are looking for a getaway, after the busy summer, I would recommend this cabin.

Another perfect September weekend at Longer Longer. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It was very clean and ready for our use as always. We did a lot of relaxing this year at the cabin and pavilion. The campfire was perfect for the cool nights. There was plenty of wood available for us to use and plenty more in the surrounding woods. One of our favorite things about this cabin is how private it is. We did a little fishing and driving around the area. The owner is great to work with and always makes sure everything is right for you. It could not have been easier. We love this place and plan to spend many more weekends here. Just go Linger Longer already! You'll love it!

What a great place to vacation!

Guest: Gia'sMom (Rutland,MA 01543)
Date of Stay: 07/23/11 Review Submitted: 07/30/11

This was our fourth year staying at Linger Longer for our summer vacation, and as always we loved it! We had great weather for the most part, when it rained we had movie time in the livingroom, and the kids were not bored. The cabin was neat and clean upon arrival, as the housekeeping always does a great job. Plenty of wood to use up at the fire pit, which we had about three or four campfires during the week. The new grill up at the pavillion was a hit. We found bear paw prints on it during the week, as well as on the dumpster at the beginning of the road, but did not actually see him during our stay. Our two Black Labs loved the property, exploring the many trails, or just relaxing by the campfire or sleeping on the enclosed porch. They also enjoyed their time at Christine Lake in Stark, where it is okay to bring your dogs to swim. We took a trip up to the Connecticut Lakes to try our luck fishing, beautiful ride up and back, and had a great time fishing. Highly recommend leaving early in the morning, and having plenty of time to fish all of the lakes and the CT river as well. Game wardens/border patrol were very pleasant, but thoroughly checking our licenses every day, so don't get caught without one, your out of state license plates are spotted easily! They even gave us some great tips on where to go to fish this time of year, which was appreciated. South Pond State Park was a huge hit again for swimming. The water is crystal clear and warm, even on a cloudy day. We tried fishing there too, but did not have any luck catching anything. If you have kids, we would recommend either Clark's Trading Post, or Storyland to visit. Both are nearby, and are lots of fun for a day trip from the cabin. North Conway is not far, and lots to do there too...shopping, great restaurants and more. Last year we visited Six Gun City with our family, but thought that it was too expensive for what we got out of it. We still haven't made it to Santa's Village yet, but there's always next year... Paul, the owner, was great as usual checking to make sure we got in okay at that the cabin was in order and clean. He always is a welcome call away if you have questions or need anything. But when you stay here, you DON'T need anything, because the cabin has EVERYTHING! I can't say enough, just have a great time! Already looking forward to next summer, and sad that our vacation this year is done. The Tracy Family

This was our first year at the Linger Longer cabin and we really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was all we expected and more - the owner was a pleasure to deal with and was very helpful as it was our first trip to the area. The cabin was a great place to relax in the morning and again in the evening. During the day we found plenty to do including hiking, riding the ATV's at Jericho State Park and a trip to Wildcat Mtn to ride the zipline. One of the highlights of our week was picking wild blueberries in the area and making homemade blueberry bread using a recipe I found at the cabin. We hope to visit again and would love to come back to explore in fall or for some snowmobiling in winter!

This was our second year staying at the cabin, and we did not want to leave! Our family of 6 settled in within 20 minutes. My husband enjoyed fishing everyday, and 4wheeling too! He took our boys out to Jericho Park, which is a short distance from the cabin. Gord's Corner store about a mile from the cabin also rents kayaks and canoes, which we didn't get to this year, but will hopefully do next year when we go back! Our boarder collie was able to run, and enjoyed his stay too! We had a great night in the gameroom downstairs, when it rained the whole day. There was not one complaint from our 4 kids (3 of them are teenagers) that they were bored. We even had family up for a cookout, and stayed dry under the pavillion! We CANNOT WAIT to get back next year!!! Many thanks to Paul, who is always pleasant and helpful in making the arrangements to stay in this gorgeous cabin!

Great Family Getaway!

Guest: M B.
Date of Stay: 06/25/11 Review Submitted: 06/30/11

My only wish is that we could have stayed longer! We were 2 adults and 4 teen boys looking to enjoy a long weekend. We had a great time! We can’t say enough about the lot – the privacy is great!! 102 acres is SO much better than those little cabins situated right on top of each other with no yard. We hiked about 6 miles straight from the front door. Our noisy bunch made it hard to see wildlife but we DID see more butterflies than we'd ever seen! If only we could post photos on this review. Just beautiful. We enjoyed the fire pit and screened porch during our down time. Also appreciated the dvd player once we were in for the night. { we added one to your library as our thanks for this service :) } Travelling on a budget, the kitchen and gas grill were great for us since we brought food and prepared most meals at home. We knew to bring our own bath towels but didn't think about hand towels. There was only one - be sure to bring your own for the kitchen and baths. :) Dishes and dishwasher were a bonus, as were the washer and dryer! What a blessing to be able to do a load of laundry mid-stay! The bunk room was perfect for our crew, and the king sized bed in the master was great for mom & dad! All beds were clean and comfy. The 2nd bathroom was so helpful for 6 of us trying to get up and out the door each morning. The hot water was great – it never ran cold even after several showers! The kids also enjoyed the game room. We enjoyed some local sightseeing, visiting the Stark Covered Bridge, West Milan Spring, Milan Hill State Park and lots of local sightseeing. The cabin is about an hour away from Mt. Cranmore so we took a day to visit their adventure park. The mountainside roller coaster is great! Would definitely like to come back again – hopefully for a longer stay. There are so many things we didn’t get to do! Paul is very accommodating and easy to work with. We will recommend Linger Longer to our family and friends. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

Man-cation

Guest: Dave (Londonderry NH)
Date of Stay: 06/09/11 Review Submitted: 06/20/11

This is the seventh year that my friends and I have gone to this part of NH for a vacation. The previous years we camped, but this year we decided to rent a cabin and it was the best change we've made to this trip in its seven years. The cabin and the property is perfect whether you don't want to be disturbed or are worried about disturbing others. We had a great time using the cabin as a home base of sorts. We fished from Errol to Berlin and went 4 wheeling on the Jericho and Berlin trails. Both adventures were great, I caught a 19in small mouth bass fishing and we had a blast on the quads on the trails and driving through downtown Berlin for lunch. It was great to have a warm shower to use after a day outside. The bbq pavilion was great for hanging out and having a "couple" of drinks around the fire at night. The game room was great the Saturday night of our trip when it started pouring outside. Really the pictures of the interior of the cabin don't do it justice. The one suggestion I would make to any one renting the cabin is bring less household stuff. There really is everything you need already there, except food and drinks. It was our best year yet and Paul was great to work with.

Date of Stay: 03/18/11 Review Submitted: 03/23/11

Linger Longer Cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our 4 friends! After a quick stop at Gord's Store, we arrived early Friday evening and were amazed at how clean, beautiful, and cozy the cabin was...the pictures just don't do it justice! From the moment we stepped in the front door, we felt right at home. We spent lots of time downstairs in the game room...the pool table & dart board were great, and of course playing bartender behind the bar was fun too! The wood stove was easy to use and it was awesome to already have wood cut waiting for us. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed to cook up some delicious meals, and the dishwasher made clean up a breeze. Overall, it was one of the best places we've ever stayed, and we are already trying to pick a time in the summer for us all to go back and enjoy some burgers on the grill and a starry evening by the fire pit!

Two Nights At Linger Longer

Guest: Tom (Setauket, NY)
Date of Stay: 02/21/11 Review Submitted: 02/24/11

Dear Paul, I would like to thank you for allowing us to rent your cabin February 21st and 22nd. We had a great time exploring the “Great North Woods” area of New Hampshire. My daughter, Caitlin, did not want to leave. We arrived Monday afternoon and settled in. Prepared a nice sea scallop, broccoli, alfredo sauce over pasta meal. After dinner we went outside and viewed the stars. It was as if they were twinkling at us. Next morning I awoke early and took Duffy (our Wheaten Terrier) out for a walk and watched the sun come up. It was beautiful, and before I forget, cold! -15 degrees cold! But worth it. Made breakfast, and headed out to Gorham to rent two snowmobiles at Northeast Snowmobile. As we got on the trail leading to Cherry Mountain (I think that’s the name), I could not believe how blue the sky was. We had a beautiful view of Mt. Washington. The four hour rental was perfect for us as it was our first time. Next time we’ll rent for the eight hours and stop along the way for lunch or dinner somewhere. If you are considering staying at the Linger Longer Cabin I highly recommended renting, or bring your own snowmobiles. The cabin’s property leads to the snow mobile trail system. My daughter and I walked the trail behind the cabin for about 1.5 miles. We were in awe. The kids enjoyed the game room in the basement, and the woodstove was a plus. Paul I apologize for not cutting some firewood for you as we just ran out of time. Next time I promise to cut up a couple of the fallen trees in the back for you. Thanks again for allowing us to bring Duffy with us. He got a chance to run, and boy did he run! He slept the whole way home. Your cabin had everything you needed, but I always bring my favorite cutting board, chef’s knife, and cooking pan because I’m used to my own cooking hardware. I highly recommend your cabin. Next time I’d like to head up with a couple friends and try my hand at trout fishing. I understand Gord is a guide. Enough out of me. Take care. Tommy M, FDNY Retired

Two couples in our 30's went up to the cabin for 3 days and 4 nights. Had an absolute amazing time. Spent time snowshoeing and just hanging out inside, sitting down in the game room playing pool and enjoying all the amenities of the cabin. Two of us just recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan, and it was exactly what we needed for some peace and tranquility. We couldnt have thought of a better place or time to go and just get away from it all. The experience was all the more great with the help of the owner Paul, who was sure to explain everything we needed to know and help make the trip as enjoyable as possible! Highly recommend this cabin to anyone just wanting to get away and enjoy the best of New Hampshires places!

Stayed for a four day snowmobile weekend, trails great and easily accessible. Cabin is comfy great for families or a group. Reasonably priced, Quiet, Private. Our Recomendations watch for falling snow (metal roof and the snow falls right in walkway path so prepare to shovel!) if you go with young children bring a baby gate to gate off stairs. Would and hopefully will stay again.

Christmas Getaway

Guest: PLM (Foster, RI)
Date of Stay: 12/23/10 Review Submitted: 01/02/11

My husband and a couple of friends enjoyed staying at the cabin for our 2010 Christmas Getaway. We were looking for a comfortable, quiet location with lots of privacy so we could have a relaxing few days. And, we found it! We brought our 2 German Shorthaired Pointers, who enjoyed having a long run every day right out the front door. Our favorite area of the house was the game room, complete with a wood stove, which we lit just about every night. The owned supplied wood that was cut, split and ready to go. We spent time in the game room, at the bar having cocktails and watching television, playing darts, pool, etc. Very relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with pans, utensils and plates, so we didn't need to pack these extras. Be sure to pick up what you need at the Shaws on the way up, since there are no stores real close by the cabin. A feature that we liked - because we picked up everything we needed on the way up. The owner was very easy to work with; photos on this web site reflected the property's actual appearance. Definitely worth the money we paid.

Date of Stay: 11/13/10 Review Submitted: 11/21/10

Spent a great week of Deer Hunting in the Great North Woods. The log cabin was great, nice and cozy. Plenty of room for me and my two sons. The property was clean and well-maintained. After being out in the woods all day, coming back to the cabin, taking a hot shower and sleeping in a warm comfortable bed was great. Paul was helpful with anything we needed. I would highly recommend the cabin for fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, skiing or any outdoor activity. Didn't harvest a deer, weather was warm without snow. Just a great place to relax and slow down. Hopefully will be back next year.

Yearly Hunting Trip

Guest: J.W (gilbertville Ma)
Date of Stay: 10/15/10 Review Submitted: 11/02/11

We've been hunting New Hampshire for about the last 15 years, the past 5 at Linger Longer. It is a wonderful place to stay with all the privacy you could ask for. Plenty of room to let the dogs out to play at the end of the day and no need to worry about cars riding by. A nice thing is that within a 30 minute ride in any direction you can find plenty of birds to keep you and the dog busy. At the end of the hunting day you can relax on the porch, make a fire in the fire pit and cook dinner in the pavilion. On rainy days you can enjoy the game room in the basement, play pool, darts, or fooseball, and even air hockey. It is always a great time and a great place to stay. We always look forward to next years trip up North, would recommend it to anyone who wants to hunt, fish, hike snowmobile or just enjoy the outdoors.

Very nice cabin and property. If you like it private this is the place and with all the ammenities of home you can't beat it. Just walk out the front door to play land. We mountain biked, kayaked and dirt biked in Jericho park everything within 15 mins ride or right out side the door. You have to visit Nash Stream Wilderness especially during peak foliage time. What a true gem and just minutes away. The owners were very nice and friendly checking to see if we needed anything. Plenty of room for lots of people or just a nice really big house for the 2 of us. Loved the fire pit and cool nights make a really nice evening. Wildlife was abundent and very nice to see. Fishing was great as well lots of brook trout. One week is not enough to do everything. You will need at least 2 to accomplish half of the things you said you would do. We will most definately be back next year

The owner is great to work with and pays attention to every detail making sure you have everything you need. The cabin is out of this world. Very secluded and the property is beautiful. The outdoor pavillion is perfect for sitting by the fire and for sitting outside on a warm night that may be rainy. There is electricity and running water at the pavillion also. The cabin is very clean and comfy. The downstairs bar and game room (with woodstove) is great for those rainy cool nights or winter time. There is plenty of room for sleeping and with two bathrooms and showers it makes things nice for getting ready when you have more than a few people with you. Wood was provided and there are also plenty of trees down in the woods for you to cut up if more is needed. There is a nice river accross from the bottom of the driveway if you feel up for a small hike and the area just beautiful driving around. We had a great time here and will definitly rent again. I would recomend this for everyone.

Wished we could have lingered longer this year!

This was our third year visiting the cabin on our summer vacation, so that should tell you how great a place it really is. We enjoy the peacefulness of being in the Great North Woods far away from the tourist-y areas of North Conway, but also close enough to visit them if we wanted to. The wildlife is amazing nearby:great moose watching opportunities, fishing in nearby ponds and rivers(we had great luck on the Androscoggin River),and bird watching(we saw a huge nest of Ospreys!). We always bring our two Black Labs with us, and because the cabin is so dog friendly we are able to have such a great time with them. They love being in the woods with all the smells and plenty of exploration for them to do. Being a dog-friendly vacation spot is what drew us to Linger Longer in the first place, because we like to be able to take them with us wherever we go as much as possible. The cabin is always clean and tidy upon arrival, and the owner who is always so friendly and caring checks with us on our first day there to make sure everything is great. How many vacation property owners usually do that? Having the washer/dryer there in the downstairs bathroom(which was just added this year) was a nice amenity so that we could do a small load here and there to cut down on what we had to pack for clothes but also to alleviate the necessity of having to do tons of laundry once we got home. A relief! The game room downstairs is a nice plus also because it entertains the kids so the adults don't always have to. Great for a rainy day too! My only wish is that the pool table was more level and in better shape so that the adults could have a serious game if they wanted to. And the air hockey table's puck was completely missing, so we couldn't use it. If I could have found an air hockey puck at the local Wal-Mart I would have bought one and left it at the cabin for the next guests to use, but I had no luck finding one. Other than that, the other games in the game room were awesome, both the dart board and the foosball table were lots of fun. And having the second TV downstairs was a HUGE plus with the kids, so that we could watch what we wanted and they could watch their own TV shows without a fight. The screened in porch is always a huge hit with us, whether we are playing cards around the table, listening to music or just enjoying the view. If you haven't visited you must experience it for yourself. Go to Linger Longer and enjoy!

A perfect vacation in the perfect cabin!!

Staying at this cabin was fabulous! It was big enough for our family of six, and for a small additional fee we were also able to bring our 2 family dogs with us. Our kids loved the "bunk room". We even had enough room for my sister and her husband to come up and stay with us. We never felt too cramped in the space! A couple fishing holes nearby, made it easy for my husband to take our kids fishing every morning. Also close to some ATV trails. Although we didn't see any moose, we did see a baby black bear! The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. We also loved that there was plenty of property to explore. The outdoor BBQ was enjoyed many nights, as well the fire pit. And the full amenities it made it easy to feel right at home here. We would recommend staying here to anyone, and look forward to coming back!!! The owners were very pleasant to deal with and we even received a friendly call after we got in to make sure we found the cabin OK and to answer any questions we might have had. Thank you for opening your cabin to us!!!!

Wish We Could Have Lingered Longer......

My husband and I stayed at Linger Longer in September 2009 with our two border collies. We just wanted to escape life for a week, de-stress and get it away from it all. We had read all of the reviews and Linger Longer definitely lived up to all our expectations. It was a wonderful vacation and we are definitely going back to Linger Longer again! It is a very private, cozy property in the beautiful Great North Woods. The log cabin is clean and spacious with many ameneties and all for a great price! The owner is very pleasant to deal with and called upon our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay and to answer any questions. The folks at the Country Store down the road were very friendly and provided a lot of information about the area. We could feel our stress just melting away as soon as we arrived at the property and each day was more and more relaxing. It is a much slower pace of life up in Northern NH which was a nice break from our hectic, fast-paced lives. We spent mornings exploring the property and nearby wildlife. During the day, we explored the Great North Woods area visiting many state parks and viewing the beautiful foliage. We took late afternoon naps on the porch while basking in the warm September sun. We barbecued at night and ate smores by the firepit (there aren't many restaurants in the area, which was fine with us!) We then retired inside to play games in the game room and sleep in the warm and comfy king size bed upstairs. Our dogs enjoyed chasing each other around the outside of the house, the barbecue area, the log pile.... And they really enjoyed their freedom on the property - no cars, neighbors, other dogs, or busy roads to worry about. And they just loved hiking in the area - lots of wonderful smells! We really enjoyed the privacy and definitely felt like we were "away from it all". Linger Longer is the perfect place if you are looking to escape life with a relaxing, affordable vacation in a beautiful, quiet area where you can de-stress and get away from it all!

Great Family Vacation Home

This is our second summer vacation here, and as always we had a great time! The cabin is immaculately clean upon arrival, has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, and is close by to some great area attractions. We highly recommend going to South Pond in the town of Stark, for a great swimming experience. If you have pets, South Pond is off limits to them, but thanks to some wonderful local people we found Christine Lake, which is also in Stark, which has a nice beach and crystal clean water. Pets are allowed to swim there, and when we brought ours we were greeter by several families who had dogs of their own swimming there. Although we loved just staying and relaxing at the cabin because it is so peaceful, we also were closeby to both Storyland and Clark's Trading Post for the kids. It's about a 45 minute ride from the cabin to Storyland, and about an hour to Clark's, but well worth it to keep the kids happy. The game room downstairs in the cabin is awesome, especially if you fall upon a rainy day up there. The pool table, foosball and airhockey tables kept both us and the kids happy. And there's satellite TV both in the upstairs livingroom, and in the game room. We love coming here and are already looking forward to coming back in the fall, and for next summer as well.

Linger Longer

My family and I rented this cabin for the first time. We wanted to start a new tradition for the Thanksgiving Holiday. There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room, yet it was also cozy. The kids were able to use their 4 wheelers and their snowmobiles. I would recommend the cabin for any size group either looking to relax or enjoy the great outdoors. There is something for everyone. The owner was available for any questions I had. He even checked to make sure we had a great time and we had everything we needed. We were lucky to have found such a perfect get away. I have already recommended the cabin to friends. I hope to return next year, I believe this is our new Thanksgiving Tradition. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us. We loved it.

Great Outdoor destination

I have just returned from my second stay at Linger Longer. My friends and I rent it for our annual bird hunting trip to the north country. It is perfect for us. The location is ideal. We can bird hunt within walking distance of the house, or we can jump in the car and be in great cover in a matter of minutes. The house has all of the amenities we want and more. Even on rainy days we have plenty to do-the basement room is phenomenal, it has a pool table, darts, fussball and air hockey. The barbecue pavillion with the grill and firepit is a great place to relax and unwind at the end of a day in the woods. I would love to get up there to experience the fishing in the summer, there are some great rivers and lakes very close. One is within walking distance. It is not an exageration to say that Linger Longer is a sportsmans' perfect vaction spot.

This is a great cabin, and was way more than we needed. Would be better for a larger group of family or friends. Great cook-out facility which we used nightly. Especially nice to have the wood stocked at house and at the cook-out fire pit. If you want privacy, this is the perfect spot.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!!

I don't even know where to begin! This place has everything you need for a good time. the "game room" has a pool table, dart board, foosball table, outside is horse shoes (for non-snow weather-although a snow covered horse shoe game could be interesting), a beautiful BBQ pavilion set away from the house, fire pit (please replace what you use so its stocked for the next group- its only fair) & the property is great for those who like to explore! Not far from the cabin are some amazing places. We found an amazing rock filled waterfall & took some really nice pics there (along with all the other scenery. Fishing, they have it! I recommend the dam! Let us not forget the fact that the cabin is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND SUPER PRIVATE!! I could write forever about this cabin, we have such a great time every year in the worst weather its still an amazing vacation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Favorite Family Vacation

My family and I have rented Linger Longer each summer for the past four years and have already booked it for summer ' 09. The cabin is beautiful--clean, cozy, quiet and offers lots of fun for families. It is also close to South Pond in nearby Stark, which is a wonderful place to swim, boat and have a cookout. Santa's Village and Storyland are within 45 minutes, as is Mt. Washington and Wildcat, which offer breathtaking views. We spent a winter weekend in the cabin as well and it remains one of the most enjoyable family weekends we have ever had. It is accessible to skiing and ice skating and offers a wonderful respite from the stresses of home. The owners of the cabin are most accommodating and will call to see if you need anything or answer a call if you have a question or need. We enjoy going back each year and are delighted to have made this wonderful New Hampshire discovery.

This coming February will be our third year enjoying the beautiful cabin. The cabin is everything we expected and more. Clean, spacious rooms, plenty of indoor (darts, fussball, etc) and outdoor activities (sledding, snowmobiling). One of the main snowmobile trails is easily accessed from the property. It's private yet close to the main road. It only takes 45 minutes to get to North Conway (Outlet Shopping). It's a great getaway for family and friends. nora, bill, david and company

Great Rustic Rental Cabin

We are getting ready for our third winter vacation up at the Linger Longer cabin. We have rented other properties, and hands down, this is the best place we have found. To start, the owner is by far the most laid back landlord I have dealt with...and will do anything for you- Thanks Paul! The kids enjoy sledding in the driveway, snowshoeing/ looking for moose, snowmobiling, and snowboarding at the numerous ski areas nearby. The grown ups also enjoy the game room area and bar! The cabin/ property is so beautiful...there are many days we just hang out at the cabin and chill. We feel fortunate to call Linger Longer home for a couple weeks per year, and would highly recommend the property to anyone wanting to get away from it all. This Florida family can't wait for our two weeks of winter at the cabin once again!

The Best Vacation Place EVER!!!!

Date of Stay: 07/28/07 Review Submitted: 10/21/08

My family and I have stayed here for 3 years in a row, and we have no desire to look elsewhere. It's worth the 7-8 hour ride it takes us to get there! EVERYTHING is included with the exception of food and bath towels! To go out at night and look up to see millions of stars is such an incredible experience! The BBQ pavilion is so cool and the fire pit is great! Every year my kids have a contest to see who can light the nightly campfire the fastest! Firewood is provided too! If you should run out, theres plenty to be found in the woods! The house is extremely clean when you arrive and everything is very well maintained. To say that Paul (the owner) provides good customer service would be like saying there's a few stars up in the sky.... He is without a doubt the kindest most considerate person I have ever dealt with. He goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. We go in the summer, but I hear the area is great all winter too! Theres a book you can write in about your stay there and not one person had a bad day let alone a bad stay! I HIGHLY recommend this cabin for your vacation! Just don't take the week we want! LOL
