Enjoy the wonderful, Outer Banks Beaches from your perch atop FALCON ROOST. Our beautiful, beach cottage in a great quiet, family-oriented location near the beach, sound, some local shopping and arts and crafts galleries, dining, movies, surfing, swimming, fishing and sailing. Walk or for miles along the docks and the quiet Pamlico Sound shores as you view the natural beauty and peacefulness of the barrier islands. Also watch the work boats and charters come and go along the docks on the sound.
Our cottage has all of the amenities of home and then some. Fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, blenders, crab and shrimp steamers, and more. Central air and heat, ceiling fans, DVD and Cable TV. Relax on our covered screened and open porches with wooden swing or on the sundeck with built in benches. Enjoy your dinner on the porch, in the house or underneath. Outdoor living in the sun or in the shade - it's up to you. Watch beautiful sunsets over Hatteras Inlet and the Pamlico Sound.
The first level has two bedrooms with a shared hall bath plus a master suite with a private bath. The kid's bunkroom includes a screened sleeping porch. Also on this level is the convenient hall laundry area. The second level has ocean and sound views, an open floor plan, a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and a full bath. Up one more flight of stairs you'll find the cozy loft with panoramic views. Please note that garage area is not available to guests.
Sleep in quiet comfort on the KIng size bed in our beautifully appointed master bedroom with private bath and direct access to deck and screened porch. The kids can enjoy their own room with double bunks while your other guests can sleep comfortably on the queen sized bed in the third bedroom. All bedrooms and living areas open to covered or open decks or screen porches. On the 3RD floor Loft with panoramic views of the ocean, the inlet, the sound and Hatteras Village and surrounding areas. It includes cable tv, a card table and sleeper sofa and opens up to the top deck with chairs and built in benches.
There is room for everyone. Shower indoors in the master,downstairs hall full bath, upstairs full bath or enjoy nature as you bathe comfortably from our enclosed outside shower.
Included is a storage room where you can safely keep and lock your beach chairs (we provide a few), fishing, surfing or other beach gear.
We really love our place and know you will too. We know that you will enjoy our beautiful beach home and its quiet and natural surroundings. Please absolutely NO SMOKING or PETS so that everyone can enjoy the same fun.
Don't forget to visit Oregon Inlet, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the North Carolina Marine Aquarium, beautiful, Historic Manteo, the classic and historic fishing piers and lighthouses throughout the outerbanks, the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum which is very close to the cottage, Awesome Ocracoke Island. Ride the ferry to Ocracoke it is just blocks away - an adventure. Ride your bike to the ferry and bike into Ocracoke for lunch and to visit all of the neat local art and crafts shops and fine restaurants.
Bring yourself, your family, your friends, some sheets and towels (or we can provide these through Midgett Realty) and some food, drink and suntan lotion and let the fun begin. Watch the birds from the many sanctuaries of the Outer Banks, see the dolphins and sometimes whales and turtles, cast a line and catch a fish, visit the world renown art galleries, arts and crafts shops, the Historic and significantly improved Wright Memorial with the newly built replica, go surfing, kite surfing, sailing, jet skiing or just lay around and hang out after golf. Don't forget the fine local cuisine at most area restaurants.
