Gimignano and Volterra; Chianti wine country and fab art cities like Arezzo, Cortona and Florence are excellent day trip destinations.
For the lovers of good cooking and excellent wines, the surroundings offer many restaurants where you can taste simple and ancient Tuscan recipes cooked with genuine and tasty ingredients, or enotecas where you can taste the best Tuscan wines such as Chianti, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, or Brunello di Montalcino.

About the owner: Hi! I am Lea Viviani. I am originally from Siena, but have lived abroad for many years. I am now 71, but am full of life, I enjoy living in the countryside with my 2 German sheep dogs Duff and Gin, I love doing my gardening and tendering my veggie garden... which is definitely oversized for me ... you will certainly have the chance to savour my juicy tomatoes.
I love cooking and good company.
Why the Owner Chose Siena: Why this property? I am sure you'll just understand when you see it yourself. However, I just fell in love with it the minute I saw it.
It sits in a very panoramic spot in the valley between Siena and Casole d'Elsa. It gave me a very intimate feeling because of its privileged and private position atop this gorgeous private hill adorned by Spanish Gorse, Poppies, Wild roses, Chestnut groves and lots of wild herbs.
It is in a very strategic position to visit Siena, San Gimignano, Colle val d'Elsa, Casole d'Elsa, San Galgano and lots of smaller, yet truly beautiful and authentic spots in the vicinities.
