This house is a one story 2000 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 2 bath lagoon home on a cul-du-sac that was completely updated and remodeled 6 years ago. It is situated on a very quiet street with neighbors to the side as the width of the lagoon makes a rear fence unnecessary. You will see a lawn, trees and shrubs, a dock, water and water birds. There are covered and wind protected sitting areas in the front and back. The extensively landscaped gardens, classic redwood fencing and lagoon offers privacy, beauty and serenity seldom found in urban homes.
The interior consist of a formal living room and open floor area that includes dining area, kitchen and family room. Granite counter tops, SS sink and appliances and a large island are found in the fully equipped kitchen area. Grohe fixtures are used throughout the house, The 3 bedrooms with queen size beds are carpet with the designated kid’s room having the continuous cherry hard wood flooring. The baths have high end porcelain bowls and the whole house is set off with crown molding. The interior environment is quiet and very stable throughout the year due to radiant floor heating, heavily insulated walls/ceilings and the perfect Bay Area weather.

My recent stay was a very memorable, comfortable and relaxing experience. The description was acurate and the location easy to find. Anne was very helpful from start to finish. Her immaculate house was so comfortable, clean and convenient. Cooking at the house was a money saver for my tight budget and my family of five. Being minutes away from Oakland Airport was so convenient and it was great to stay out of the hustle and bustle of SFO while being only a short drive away. I would recommend this stay to any family. Thank you Anne for your hospitality and renting your beautiful home via VRBO! Aloha, JanRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

The house is very beautiful and comfortable. It has Hawaiian decor, which makes it really feel like you are away and relaxed! We had two families staying there very comfortably. Everything in the house is brand new and working! The outdoor area is wonderful. The kitchen is spacious and great for cooking meals. I recommend this house if you are in the Bay Area!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Our family of seven rented this wonderful home in Alameda over the Christmas holidays. It was a perfect space for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying meals together. Plenty of comfortable beds and rooms for everyone to have some private space, and two distinct sitting areas for spreading out. Owner was friendly, communicative, and helpful. We're already looking forward to a future stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The Lagoon House is a beautifully designed, warm, and perfectly maintained home. We can't say enough good things about it. From the moment we walked in, we were delighted by how well everything worked, how beautiful the views were, and how everything we needed was available. The kitchen is just lovely with clean open lines and state of the art appliances. There were seven of us and we had plenty of room. The owner was very helpful as we planned our trip and very friendly as well. We would not hesitate to recommend this house.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Perfect rental for a great long weekend in the bay area. VERY EASY to get to this house from the Oakland Int Airport, and very easy to get around Alameda, Oakland and over to San Francisco via water taxi or driving. Shopping and dinning were very close. A very big state park is only 2 blocks away that offers all sorts of views of the bay, walks on the beach, etc. The house in down a quiet cul-de-sac with a great front yard to greet you and a very nice covered back yard off of the lagoon to hang out in with a bbq and a sunset! Very big kitchen to cook in , a very large living room that was perfect for reading and relaxing. Master bedroom was great with lots of space and a very nice, updated bathroom. The other rooms were very nice also! Can't say enough about this great property. The only thing i would change about my stay there is that it was too short! Can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

The pictures do this house no justice. It's a must see and a must stay! From the moment you open the front door you'll be astonished. The location is perfect if visiting San Francisco or Oakland. The neighborhood is safe and quiet with a ritzy feel. Now back to the house. The beauty of this house is in the details. From the beautiful hardwood floors to the marble in the bathroom. Every aspect of this house looks like it was upgraded. Then you step out back and realize the lagoon is approx. 10 yards from the back door. Be sure to bring bread to feed the ducks and fish in the lagoon.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

This house was everything that we could have wished for. It was spotlessly clean, really well laid out with lots of space and wonderful outdoor areas. We have 3 children, 11, 8 and 6 and we all fitted in just fine. The kitchen was great with loads of storage and easy to use. It was just lovely to sit outside, watch the palm trees swaying on the horizon and feel the breeze. The back garden faces the lagoon and also has the sun until it sets which was fabulous. The children managed to acquire some kayaks and spent many happy hours paddling around the lagoon which was safe with no tide and waves. The owner was a delight to deal with and everything happened as she said it would. The house is a short walk to the beach and the bike paths and we enjoyed sunset bike rides and exploring the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this house. We had a lovely family holiday.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers.

My family of four (our children are 1 and 4) just returned from 5 nights in the Lagoon House. The house was truly lovely, with wonderful outdoor spaces and beautifully appointed inside spaces. There was more than enough room for all of us, and we couldn't have been happier with the setting or the quality of the home. We took a few walks to the nearby park, spent a day in the City, and enjoyed a lot of down time in this beautiful home. The owners were great to work with and accommodated our needs. This house does not have any baby equipment, and since we were traveling from Arizona I didn't want to tote it all, so we rented a crib and high chair from Little Luggage. Super simple solution and a great trip overall!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
