  My husband and I had the chance to stay in this apartment over Easter in Paris. It was lovely. Everything we had hoped it would be and more. The location is excellent - easy walking distance to all of the interesting tourist attractions in Paris. Sophie is wonderful - kind, warm, and provides that extra touch that makes you want to come back. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fresh baguette, homemade cookies, and fresh coffee ... not to mention an exquisitely decorated and superbly clean room complete with personal sachets of lavender (hand-stitched). Not to mention the lovely candy gift at our door to wish us a Happy Easter! The room has all of the amenities that one could need (well stocked kitchen, excellent shower, wifi access, comfortable bed), along with a book of hand-written tips on best places to eat, drink, and visit in the neighborhood. There are also plenty of Paris guidebooks available for your use. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic, quiet getaway in Paris. You will not regret it. I know that my husband and I will definitely return.

  Charming apartment, beautifully appointed, great location. Sophie greeted us upon arrival with a basket of fruit, fresh croissants and bread and the most marvelous cookies. She answered all our questions, gave us directions and oriented us to the neighborhood restaurants and shops. On previous trips to Paris we have always stayed in a hotel but this time, since we were staying for a week we wanted to feel like we were living there. We weren't disappointed! The highlight of our trip was breakfast with our hosts and their son followed by a baking lesson where I learned to make those delicious cookies! Thank you so much for a wonderful week.

  My husband and I stayed at Sophie's beautiful apartment for four nights and it was everything it was advertised as. Sophie met us personally and showed us around the apartment. She provided us with a beautiful fresh fruit arrangement, fresh bread and home baked treats. She was available if we needed her but was not intrusive at all. It is difficult to know where to start when I want to say so many good things about this apartment. First, the apartment is furnished and decorated beautifully and is located in an excellent location for walking around Paris. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you. The bed is wonderful to have at the end of a long day to just put your feet up and relax, and is comfortable as well. The bathroom has everything you could need including a full size shower with several choices for a shower head. Sophie included some bath products as well. She provided us with some great smelling lavender sachets which she allowed me to bring home. Second, she has compiled a book with great information about great places to eat, including price ranges. Also, the location of banks, laundromats, grocers,doctors, and the post office. This stop in Paris was the end of a three week trip for my husband and myself and this apartment was a great place to end a vacation and unwind. It is perfect for two people.

  We just stayed in Sophie's beautiful apartment for 4 nights in April 2013 and couldn't wait to get home to review it on VRBO so no one that is thinking about visiting Paris would miss this jewell!. We were met by Sophie upon arrival and shown all the comforts and extras she had prepared for us such as fresh fruits, breads, jellys, coffee, and the fabulous homemade "tuiles d'amandes" treats (as I'm the primary cook in our house, my only regret from the trip is not having enough time to spend with Sophie to find out home to make these!). The pictures here are good but understate just how beautifully maintained and supplied this apartment is; very nice antique furnishings, artwork, modern bathroom, etc. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people and is in an excellent location at the Palais Royale for walking to the Louvre, Tulleries, Seine and most of the other historic sites in central Paris. The subway station is 1 block away but we never used it as everything we did was within walking distance. Sophie has great recommendations for places to eat in every price range and was a tremendous help with whatever else we needed. This modern apartment is on the 3rd floor of this historic building, on a quiet street and has a lift for your luggage and for when you're wore out from your day and don't want to take the stairs!! Highly recommend this apartment with it's fantastic owner and thank Sophie for all she did to make our stay a pleasure.

  Sophie und Francois, wir danken euch! Wir können nur all das bestätigen, was bereits von unseren Vorgängern über euch und eure wunderschöne Wohnung gesagt wurde. Für einen Aufenthalt in Paris kann man sich kein schöneres Domizil vorstellen. Der französische Charme, die ausgesucht geschmackvolle Einrichtung und die zentrale Lage der Wohnung machen den Parisbesuch zu einem perfekten Erlebnis. Unschlagbar war auch die Gastfreundschaft und der Einsatz unserer Gastgeber Sophie und Francois. Nach einem Autocrash im Zentrum von Paris eilten die beiden z.B. sofort herbei und befreiten uns aus dem Straßengewirr. Zum Emfang standen dann eine Schale mit erlesenem Obst, Baguette, Butter und Marmeladen bereit - nicht zu vergessen Sophies leckere Tuiles. Wie selbstverständlich gab es Tee, Kaffee und alles, was man zum Kochen braucht in der Wohnung - einfach überwältigend! Nachdem wir unser Sightseeing-Programm beendet hatten (alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar), entdeckten wir das romantische Paris, das in unserer Vorstellung wohnte, direkt vor unserer Haustür, in der unmittelbaren Umgebung des Palais Royal mit seinen schönen Parkanlagen und den Arkadengängen. Sei es die Galerie Vivienne, in der verschiedene Bistros zum abendlichen Glas Wein einladen oder der Wochenmarkt in der Rue de Montorgueil, auf den wir ohne Sophies sorgfältig ausgearbeiteten Plan nie gestoßen wären - hier lässt es sich trefflich genießen. Vielen, vielen Dank an euch - Sophie und Francois - für diesen schönen Aufenthalt. Wir sind sicher, bei einer weiteren Parisreise kommt nur eure Wohnung in Frage. Isa & Wolfgang

  The apartment was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the antiques and the ultra modern conveniences (rain head shower and induction cook top). The apartment was equipped with everything that we needed for our stay and it is even more beautiful than the photos on the VRBO site. Sophie and Francois were warm and welcoming, always asking if we needed anything. The apartment is centrally located so that there is easy access to the metro and it is easy to walk to many famous art galleries and museums. There are many excellent restaurants nearby. Our hosts were understanding, gracious and kind making our first rental of a travel apartment a very positive experience. After our first day, the apartment felt like home!

  J'ai passé un mois dans cet endroit merveilleux au plus froid de l'hiver ! Les photos n'avaient pas menti :tout était raffiné, de bon gout, très comfortable et propre ! Sophie et François sont des hotes remarquablement attentionnés qui font l'impossible pour que votre séjour soit agréable: des petites attentions et des réponses à toutes vos questions ou demandes.... La situation est idéale: rue calme et sécurisée, visites des musées, théatres ou monuments historiques à pied, multiples bistrots autour et quel plaisir de passer de l'autre coté de la Seine ou vous atteindrez le charme de Saint germain des Prés en 15 min! Cet endroit deviendra mon pied à terre à Paris chaque fois que j'ai envie de m'y rendre: a home away from home ! Ideal également pour une lune de miel !

  I cannot really add much more to all the positive reviews on Sophie's apartment, except to say my wife and I agree with each and every one. An impeccable apartment, with exquisite attention to details, in a safe and convenient neighbourhood, together with tips and information from Sophie, and the result is one of our best vacation ever in our lives! We have no hesitation in recommending Sophie's apartment to our friends and relatives who are thinking of visiting Paris. In fact, even as I write, my wife is busy planning a return trip to Paris, and we will not even bother to think of any other place to stay. A truly unique and wonderful experience, and such charming and gracious hosts. We left our vacation apartment with much sadness and reluctance.

  Wir waren fünf Nächte in dem Appartement von Sophie und Francois. Sie haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Das Appartement ist sehr liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet - typisch franösisch. Man merkt, dass die Besitzer das Appartement mit viel Engagement führen. Die Lage ist super zentral, in nur 2 Gehminuten ist man schon beim Louvre und die Ecke um den Palais Royal ist unserer Meinung die schönste in Paris. Wir konnten fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie z.B. die Champs Elysees und den Eifelturm, zu Fuß erreichen. Durch die in der Wohnung ausliegenden Karten und Insidertipps der Eigentümer hatten wir einen wirklich sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Paris! Sehr zu empfehlen und wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! Rikje und Denis

  We have not stopped talking about our wonderful stay in Sophie's beautiful apartment in the heart of Paris. It is no surprise that all the reviews have been 5/5 for this property and their glowing comments spot on. The location in Paris is close to everything you need in a safe and quiet area with so much character and history. It was a privilege to have met Sophie and Francois who made us feel at home from the start. Sophie's advice on local living made all the difference, we can totally recommend it!
