We stayed at this home last summer in June 05, We had the best time. The house and property is very well kept. We enjoyed the pool and bar very much we had a blast. The area is very nice and peaceful and great fishing !! We booked this house again for the summer of 06 as well. If interested in booking property I would highlt recommend it. Also Joanne is a really nice lady and very accomodating.

My family of 5 (kids 6 13&16) stayed for a week in early march and had an incredible time here. The house is just beautiful, top notch neighborhood and we felt very safe and welcome here. Very close by to many activities that the keys have to offer. The pool was perfect temp and just enough shade to enjoy all day long and even at night sooo warm. Elegant outdoor lighting and the tiki bar is huge. We fished in the canal and saw everything from tropical fish to squid and even 5 foot tarpon jumping! The dock made boat rental a breeze, being on the water in islamorada is amazingly beautiful and the house is only maybe 1 or 2 miles to the popular sandbar in the ocean. Having the computer at the house kept the teenagers busy when mom and dad just wanted to grill and hang-out at the house. Joan and her manager Barbara are delightful women to do business with and they make you feel very welcome. If you want tropical paradise without the rowdy crowds and the time to tick-tock like we did, it doesn't get better than this. Thanks Joan

This place truly surpassed all our expectations. The house itself was beautiful and spacious while being very comfortable and homey. The location itself was ideal for our party as we were able to feel secluded while at the same time having access to restaurants and beaches (although - to be honest - it was hard to ever leave.) We can't wait to come again!!

The house and dock were perfect for our anual fishing trip to the keys. House was clean and had everything we needed for a great, relaxing trip. This was our 2nd visit to the house, and we are already planning a third! Thanks!

My family has stayed at Venetian Tropics during the opening week of lobster season for about 10 years. Prior to that we stayed at a local "luxury" hotel. There is absolutely no comparison. For about the same rent, the hotel had a 2 room suite, two burner stove, mini frige, etc. Compare to a beautiful home, full modern kitchen, our boat moored at the front door, private pool, two spacious bedrooms, in-home laundry . . . . which would you pick? As to the location, our main interest is boating, diving, and fishing on the ocean side, so the location of Venetian Tropics is perfect. You climb aboard your boat, and it less than ten minutes, you're under the Snake Creek bridge and out in the atlantic. From there, fishing/diving reefs are anywhere for about 1/2 mile to 5 miles out. The reefs are mostly shallow and crystal clear, so they're perfect for my kids to scuba and grand-kids to splash around/snorkel. See other reviews for area attractions for the less nautically inclined. We always manage to catch enough lobster (without trying too hard) to have a family party when we get home. The house is well appointed, and, it seems that each year that we've stayed, the owner has incorporated some major upgrade (re-modeled kitchen, re-tiled floors, re-furnished bedroom, etc.) I heartily recommend that you contact the owner, Joan when you decide to visit the Florida Keys!

After hours and hours of surfing the internet to only find that places were unavailable or no one would return your calls I stumbled on Venetian Tropics. What a blessing. The owner actually called me right back. We rented the house for a week. Everything was great. We fished and snorkeled everyday. We caught Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, King Mackerel, and still have some in our freezer. Sure beats a hotel. Hope to return again soon. The property manager was very pleasant as well.

We've stayed at this home twice in the past and are scheduled there again this April. The owner is very nice and accommodating. It's very comfortable and the pool and tiki bar are lots of fun. It's in an upscale area of beautiful homes. If you're a boater, there is quick access to the bay and ocean. Islamorada is our favorite spot in the Keys with the best restaurants and things to do. Can't wait for April!

Just want to let everyone know that the Florida Keys is a great place to fish and snorkle and to really get some rest and relaxation.So come and spend your vacation in the Keys with it's serenity, enjoy and experience having dinner by the sea at some great restaurants while listening to the sound of the ocean or to go fishing or boating, or just sit by our private heated pool sipping your favorite drink at the chiki bar. Our 2 bedroom private home has a lot to offer with the 70 ft dock you can bring your onw boat or rentone and have it delivered to our dock.
