Kona Nalu condo description
Enjoy your Hawaiian vacation at this 1,200 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bath second-floor condo in a private 15-unit oceanfront complex. Located just 2 miles south of Kailua Kona on Ali’i Drive, the nearby area offers many opportunities for exploring the ocean, exquisite shopping, and dining at the mouth-watering variety of restaurants. Decided you want the comfort of a home-cooked meal? Grocery stores are conveniently nearby, as are a few local farmer’s markets which feature handmade goods and fresh local produce. The kitchen is fully furnished with appliances, cookware and utensils. Also available in the unit are plush linens, towels, beach towels, beach mats, and even a cooler so you’ll feel even more at home here. Also a rarity in Kailua, Kona Nalu is one of the few that has an elevator available for handicapped accessibility.
Step out onto the spacious lanai and let your eyes feast on the breathtaking ocean view as the revitalizing sounds of the ocean sing to your ears. Easily accessed by sliding doors from the master bedroom or living room, the lanai partially overhangs the pool so you have an unobstructed view of the reef, tides, and beach. Breakfast, lunch, late-afternoon appetizers or drinks, and almost mandatory dinners at sunset all happen here. Cool sea breezes embrace you, and the fresh air is welcomed further in by ceiling fans in each room. Drink in the moment—you are truly in paradise.
You won't forget that you’re only steps away from a sandy beach just outside the seawall gate. Just to the north and south are reef-protected lagoons where sea turtles are frequently seen. It’s also very common to see surfers, kayakers, or snorkelers on their ocean adventure and if you book during the winter, you’ll even see pods of dolphins and whales during their winter migration. It’s a great place to walk, soak up the sun, and explore.
In October, the famous Kona Ironman Triathlon is held. Our location allows you to watch the athletes running south, then north on Ali’i Drive as they complete the final 26.2 mile running leg of the Triathlon.
So, please consider spending a week or two in our Hawaiian paradise. You can get in touch with us from the Contact page. We look forward to hearing from you.

Lanai is the bomb!
Lanai is the bomb!
My dad and I stayed here for 8 nights in April 2013. We LOVED it! We couldn't wait to get back to the condo from our daily activities to enjoy a nice glass of wine on the Lanai. It is really ocean front! You couldn't get much closer without getting wet. We saw turtles, a wedding, and many beautiful sunsets from here. It's nice and close to town, but not too close. Great parking, we felt like locals. I have almost all pro's.... Lanai.... ***** five star. It's large, beds were very comfortable, nice washer/dryer unit, location was great! Cons.. no air conditioning, which is fine for the bedroom on the ocean, the breeze from the lanai was plenty to cool off the place. My bedroom, on the street side got a bit hot, and even though there is a nice ceiling fan, wasn't enough. It's fine if you open the window, which I did, but there is a lot of noise from the street, a rooster and lots of other birds at 5 am. I got used to it, and didn't mind a bit. This place is perfect otherwise. One more small con, would be it has an older tv, it could use some up-dating with a new flat screen. Well, who goes to Hawaii to watch tv anyway? The people at the "Front Desk" Paul couldn't have been nicer. I would stay here every time I come to Kona! I enjoyed the atmosphere and happy hour food (yummy fish taco's) & drinks at the "Huggo's" beach bar and also liked the Mai Tai's at Don's. Snorkeling was the best at the little reef just south of this place, Kahaluu Beach Park. It gets crowded in the afternoon, so go there in the morning. Best white sand beach was Hapuna, we really enjoyed boogie boarding there (board is at the condo). The condo also had a nice cooler on wheels. I can't wait to go back!
