We stayed for a week in early August 2012. We are a family of four with two teenage boys. The home is very comfortable and well furnished with great beds, sofas and a terrific kitchen. It is quite large and easy for everyone to have their own space should they wish some privacy. Good views of Longs Peak from the deck. It is located on the road from Estes Park to the YMCA which while isn't very busy does make it a bit noisy. I'm quite sensitive to noise and I can say it wasn't a big issue for me. One of the bedrooms is perfectly quiet, and the traffic pretty much dies by 9 or 10. With the windows closed you really can't hear any noise, but be advised that the home sits just a few feet from the road, although elevated about 25 feet above it. Again, this is a terrific rental property. Very new, very clean and we walked directly into RMNP from the home in about 15 minutes. And when you drive to the park, you don't have to go through downtown Estes Park which is HUGE advantage as the traffic can be problematic.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a fabulous stay at Rocky Point. The home was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with essentials (laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwasher soap, Ziploc bags, spices, baking supplies, and even pancake mix). The property manager was very friendly and helpful. The photos accurately reflect the home and its amenities. We highly recommend Rocky Point for families of all ages. Our family ranged in ages from 1 year to 72 years old, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Samuel & Susan, Thanks for your great review! We look forward to your return! Best Regards, Terry & Marji Owners Lloyd & Donna Managers

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Originally from Southern IN we moved to WY 10 years ago with work. The first time we were in Estes Park, we knew we wanted own a place there and later retire there. In 2008 we rented a condo there and that sealed the deal, we were ready to buy. We looked at 15 to 20 homes there during our search, but could not get past the one we bought, it just had everything we were looking for.
Why the Owner Chose Estes Park:
Our property is very near the RMNP border. You can walk in if you are a hiker. Or if you wish to go deep into the park, the south entrance is just a a few minutes back up Hwy 66 and a left turn on Hwy 36 and you are at the South Gate.
The YMCA camp is only a few miles south of our home.
Downtown Estes is on minutes north of our home.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The wildlife in Estes is almost in your face, probably more so in the winter season when the hussle and bussle is gone. But we have never been there that we did not see some kind of critters somewhere around town.
