July 7 -July 9, 2006 Thanks so much for your hospitality. The Miller Sanctuary is a nice place to relax. This was the perfect location to Cole Canoe Base [Campground] to pick our Boy Scouts up. The boys loved playing pool and relaxing in front of the TV after a week of camping. The Parents of Troop 1615 (Royal Oak, MI)

We couldn't have had a better getaway for our 28th anniversary!! The house was great and the air conditioning saved us from the 100 plus degree heat. We were really impresssed by the house and property, it truly is a VERY quiet and private sanctuary! Only draw back was the fish didn't like the heat and were not biting . EVERYTHING else was perfect! Even down to the pizza dish that they had!! If you TRULY want to get away from it all this is a great place to be! And you are only 10 minutes from West Branch should you want to venture out to the big city! Thanks for a great vacation!

Owner response: It is reviews like this that bring smiles to our faces. Our kids especially love to read about the experiences of others who stay here. We love the place and find it to be a great place to spend time together, play, laugh and relax!!! We so enjoy it when others have the same experience we do while we are there. We have lots of fun memories there with our brothers, sisters-in-law and close friends. We certainly hope you will keep us in mind for your next "recharge the batteries" type of vacation. Warm Regards, Joe & Ginger Miller
My girlfriend and our three kids had a great time. The only slight concern is that it did get quite warm in the cottage and we were told there was air conditioning and there definitely wasn't. But we did have a great time and would go back again!!!! Everything was very well maintained and clean, I would highly recommend this place to a friend. I did love that it was set way back in the woods but also was only 10 minutes to westbranch and civilization.

Owner response: Thank you for the wonderful response. We have window air units and they were not installed until the day you left. Had you contacted us (phone numbers are posted at the phone on the desk in the kitchen) we would have addressed the issue immediately. Our lawn/maintenance man lives 5 houses away and we would have asked him to put them in. We look forward to your next visit!
7-2-2006 Hi Joe, Ginger and Family! Thank you for sharing Miller Sanctuary at Birchview with our family. We had a most relaxing week. Highlights included: • A canoe trip down the Tittabawasee River. • Grilling outside for dinner. • Seeing 8 wild turkeys on the front lawn. • Some spirited games of cards (poker, rummy, and spoons). • Laying in the hammock reading a book underneath a shade tree. • Watching an afternoon thunderstorm roll in. • Taking a pontoon ride to fish. • Playing pool and enjoying a few late night movies with popcorn. • Catching baby bullfrogs. • Seeing a beaver dam along the river bank. • Seeing deer, raccoons and rabbits on our meandering drives into the property. • Toasting marshmallows at night by the waters edge. We appreciate your hospitality and look forward to a return visit! Sincerely, The DeStephano/Dorsey Family (Granger, IN) Michele, Dale, Sarah, Mike, Isabella and Dominic

Dear Ginger and Joe, You have the most beautiful cottage I have ever been in. You have furnished it with lovely and comfortable furniture. My favorite place is the main living room--large and lots of area to move around in. It was perfect for a family gathering. The full wall limestone fireplace was warm and nice to gather around. We enjoyed talking while sitting on the leather sofas. The other room with the pool table and large TV gave our family additional entertainment. The kitchen is very large and well equiped. The setting is truely a santuary --a peaceful and serene place to relax and view nature on the river.

Dear Ginger and Joe, Thanks so much for the awesome weekend. My husband and I were looking for a nice, quiet place to spend our 30th Anniversary and your lovely Santuary fit the bill and then some. We really enjoyed the king size canopy. That was a special one for me as I have always wanted one and have yet to get one. We also really enjoyed canoeing the river. It is very picturesque. We actually live in the country, but you just can't appreciate nature until you get into a setting like yours. We made campfires each night and thoroughly enjoyed the sunset into star filled skies. Ate smores too! The house is more than comfortable and everything we needed we certainly had. We would definitely comeback and we would like to bring the family along. Thanks again for everything! We brought away great memories for our anniversary. God Bless, Maggie and Randy
