Wonderful vacation home
Wonderful vacation home
What a beautiful home for spending time with family as well as enjoying the local sites. The owners are wonderful to work with and have truly thought of everything to make the stay the best it can be. Our vacation was over Thanksgiving and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you enjoy to cook. The location is perfect for driving into the city for a sporting event or heading down to Key West for the day and is in close proximity to many wonderful restaurants. Fishing from the dock was hours of fun for all of our group (age 4 to 84) and the swimming pool is heated and was used rain and shine. The house is so spacious with many area's to spread out and relax. Although we didn't have perfect weather it was no issue with all of the amenities at the house and nearby. Thank you Melissa and Lori for sharing your home with us. I truly can't express what a wonderful time we had.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It is even more spectacular than any pictures or words. The house was just perfect for the 5 of us. It was probably the most relaxing vacation any of us has ever had, and we all so needed that. We had perfect weather everyday. The location was so quiet, too. Very few neighbors were there at all. We did a lot of fishing, but little catching! We relaxed in the gorgeous pool every day, sometimes sharing the area with an iguana or two. We had no problems at all while we were there. You were very thorough with your instructions and info you left in the blue binder. Thank you once again, for sharing such paradise.

Owner response: Thanks so much....we are so happy you had such a wonderful time. Please come again. Sincerely, L&M
We have been coming to the Keys since 2001. Seas the Day was hands down the best place we have ever stayed. The house is spacious inside and out. There were 8 of us and it never felt crowded. The house is on the ocean but has a coquina rock wall that makes a very well protected area for your boat. Dockage is very easy and the water is deep. The coquina wall also provides a nice wind break to kayak, which we did almost daily. Since it was a little too rough to snorkel on the reefs we snorkeled along the wall. While the visibility is not what you would see at the reefs we were able to see lobster, lots of fish including parrot fish and barracuda, and different types of sponges, soft corals and sea anemones. We spent most of our time out on the dock or on the patio area which has a pool, tiki bar, plenty of seating and chairs for relaxing. Lori and Missy have provided a ping pong table, darts and a ring on a string game that kept everyone entertained. We cooked out several nights on the gas grill. The beautiful kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and plenty of supplies for cooking and entertaining. The house is decorated nicely with higher end furnishings. The screened in porch is ideal for coffee in the morning or cocktails at night. The front yard is large and easily fit our 2 trucks and the boat trailer. The photos on the website are very accurate, the house is exactly what you see on the VRBO site. We launched the boat at Harry Harris park. The ramps are excellent and it is only about a 5 minute boat ride to the house. Access to the bay is only about 10 minutes away. The house is located very close to both Hens and Chickens and Molasses Reef. While it was pretty windy during our stay and we didn't get out to the reefs to snorkel as much as we would like we found the reefs very convenient. We are already planning our visit for next year. Thanks Lori and Missy for sharing your lovely home with us. Oh, and we did have a special event happen....my niece got engaged at your house while we were there! Maybe they'll choose to honeymoon there! A shout out to Robert at The Trailer Shop in Key Largo. We had an issue with our trailer and he was out within the hour and had the trailer fixed in about 45 minutes.

What A Month!!!!!!
What A Month!!!!!!
What a great place to stay during the month of July! The house and property were everything the other reviewers said and more. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring many of the Keys and hanging at the house, pool, dock and the tiki area when wanted to get out of the sun, relax and have happy hour. We saw lots of cool things off the dock, snorkeling in the canal and kayaking the area on the other side of the rocks (parrot fish, mangrove snapper, grunts, sergeant majors, reef squid, sting rays, barracuda, jellyfish, bowl sponges, sea biscuits, giant anemones, corals). The lights in the water at night were so cool, it was a whole different world down there and fun to watch from the porch. We caught lots of fish from the dock too. Some of the other places and things we enjoyed while we were there included multiple visits to John Pennekamp State Park, Theater of the Sea and Marker 88, renting a boat and snorkeling Hens and Chickens Reef and Cheeca Rocks, sailing on a catamaran, fishing at Pickles Reef, eating our way through the islands (food was fabulous), and visiting the turtle hospital. It was a great place for families and friends of all ages and we look forward to coming back again. The owners were very nice and provided us with lots of local information to make our vacation unforgettable.

FOREVER VIEWS PARADISE FOUND!!!
FOREVER VIEWS PARADISE FOUND!!!
THIS HOME REALLY HAS IT ALL.! ! FROM THE MOMENT YOU DRIVE THROUGH THE GATE IT IS AS IF YOU ARE IN YOUR OWN PRIVATE COMPOUND. WE LOVED THE HEATED POOL AND THE TIKI BAR FOR DART GAMES. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF VERY NICE KAYAKS WE USED TO GO EXPLORING DOWN THE WATERWAYS AND WENT SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN. WE SAW JUMPING TARPON, GREAT WHITE EGRET AND BLUE HERON, AND LOTS OF DIFFERENT FISH. THE SUNSET ON THE DOCK LOUNGING IN THE COMFORTABLE ADIRONDACK CHAIRS WAS SO SPECIAL. WE REALLY LIKED WHERE THE HOME IS LOCATED. IT IS IN A LAGOON SETTING WITH SWEEPING VIEWS OUT TO SEA , YET PROTECTED BY THE JETTY ROCKS. (SO YOUR BOAT IS VERY SECURE IN THE CANAL.) VERY EASY ACCESS IN AND OUT BY BOAT ON A VERY WIDE CANAL. THE INSIDE OF THE HOME IS ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE. ALL ALONG THE BACK OF THE HOUSE IS A LONG SCREENED IN PORCH THAT IS FURNISHED COMFORTABLLY. WE WOULD HAVE OUR MORNING COFFEE AT SUNRISE AND COCKTAILS AT SUNSET!! THE BEDROOMS AND BATHS ARE LARGE AND PRIVATE. THERE WERE SIX OF US AND WE NEVER FELT LIKE WE WERE CROWDED. THE BEAUTIFUL, MODERN KITCHEN IS STOCKED FULL OF EVERY UTENSIL AND DISH ONE COULD POSSIBLY DESIRE TO COOK AND/OR BARTEND WITH!! THE OUTDOOR GAS GRILL IS LARGE AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF SEATING OUTSIDE UNDER THE TIKI BAR OR ON THE DOCK!! THE AREA OFFERS MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS AND PLENTY OF BARS WITH MUSIC WHICH WE ENJOYED. THE OWNERS WERE EXCELLENT TO DEAL WITH OFFERING US ALL THE INFORMATION NECESSARY AND WERE AVAILABLE IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOME!!! YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!

We have recently had the pleasure of staying at this fabulous house that is perfectly situated, with a sweeping panoramic view of the ocean. I have been to the Keys many times - I have never seen a view quite as incredible as this one. The house was very well maintained and very spacious. There were 6 of us and we each had our own private space, including our own bathrooms. The kitchen was equip with all the tools and toys we needed to make fabulous meals every night - we were so happy because our world really revolves around the joy of cooking and eating. We took advantage of the amenities as well - we kayaked, came back and took a dip in the heated pool, cooked out on the grill and had a beautiful sunset dinner. We also spent one day fishing with a local guide, everything was so easy. The owners have spent a lot of time organizing every detail - it was so easy to get around and find the local watering holes!! I would recommend this home highly - we definitely will be going back!!

Wonderful place! Awesome views!
Wonderful place! Awesome views!
We stayed at this property in April, and loved it the moment we walked in. Loved the screened porch with the stunning views; the Tiki hut was a fun spot to have a meal off the grill, seating for 8. The pool was nice and warm; my kids loved it! Nice to have the kayak to utilize in the canal, which my son fell in love with doing. Fantastic kitchen, nice clean rooms. "Iggy" our iguana visited almost daily, for his swim across to the mangroves. Lots of fish in the canal... buy some chum and watch them swarm! Nicely lit underwater at night... attracted fish too. My oldest never complained, thanks to the wireless internet available so he could get connected even in paradise! The owners were very kind and helpful with any questions we had. They had a very detailed book loaded with FAQ's and tons of restaurants listed. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives, and we will be back some day! The location was perfect for us. A short drive to many restaurants, try the Buzzard's Roost in Key Largo! Less expensive than many of the restaurants, and the food is top notch; awards on the walls! John Pennykamp State Park was the best experience ever! Cheap way to get quality snorkeling in (tour boats $30 for adult); and there is a sunken ship, cannons and all, slightly off the beach to view as well, no need to travel by boat for that! Nice little snack bar too! This park is a MUST see. Also... stop by Robbie's marina to see the Tarpons! Search online; this is incredible to see. Even better when you feed them yourself, like I did!

This is the most beautiful and relaxing vacation place on Earth!!!
My family and I just returned from Seas the Day and I'm so sorry to be home! The house is everything the girls promise and more! The house, pool, and grounds are spotless! My kids are small and loved the huge, heated pool! There is more than enough space for a family of 5! Everything is only 10-15 minutes away. We went on 3 fishing charters where we caught enough fish to eat for the week. We drove to Key West in 2 hours and enjoyed the most laid back place in the U.S. The restruants and people could not have been better! Thanks for a wonderful trip and we will be back next year!!!

About the owner: We are corporate folks who work hard so we can play hard. We love sunrises, fly fishing, boating, cooking, entertaining, laughter, eating, drinking and spending time with good friends and family.
Why the Owner Chose Islamorada:
We fell in love at first sight with the stunning ocean views, open floor plan, new kitchen, beautiful pool, built-in grill, tiki bar and the wildlife we have seen in our very own back yard. The first time we fished from our dock we caught 8 mango snapper within the first hour. There is a sweet spot where the jetty rocks open that you cast into, and you’re likely to pull out a snapper in seconds. That same day we also saw a rolling tarpon 8 feet off our dock, an incredible experience......we knew we were home. There are large blue crab, manatees, needle fish, snapper, and parrot fish that linger at our dock, as well as larger species (sharks, dolphin, barracuda, etc..) that are always lovely to watch from our safe and protected deep water dock inside the jettie. Our Fly Fishing guide can pick us up by boat and tie right up to our very own dock as we load up to head out for the day.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our location directly on the ocean (near Tavernier Marina), is close to both Islamorada and Key Largo, which is ideal. The expansive 180 degree ocean views can be seen from every level of our home. the 10 foot pocket sliding glass windows open up the back wall of the living room to offer stunning ocean views, including the large salt water flat that is magically revealed at low tide. We have a beautifully designed open floor plan with new stainless steel kitchen and appliances and granite counter tops, private pool, large Tiki Hut/Bar with running water sink, 90 ft cement dock with protected water, spacious screened lanai, comcast on all TVs in every bedroom, Wi-Fi that reaches the pool, tiki hut and dock, plenty of outside seating, hammock, gas grill, fish cleaning station, widow’s walk on roof, ping pong table, tandem kayak, and amazing long ocean views. This is a great home for Family Vacations, Relaxing and Replenishing Gettaway, Entertaining Guests, hosting Corporate Events, Fly Fishing, Deep Sea Fishing, or just fishing from our dock.
