Spent an amazing Thanksgiving on the lake this year! The pictures really do not reflect exactly how spacious and cozy this home is. From the fully stocked kitchen where we cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner, to the large dining room where we at our dinner with an amazing view of the lake, to the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. This home had every amenity and is clean and well maintained. Probably our favorite part however was the location. We had debated staying at some homes further away from the lake. We were so happy we choose this home. Not only does it have an amazing view, it is located on a very peaceful part of the lake in a protected cove. We spent hours on the dock fishing. Because of the beautiful weather we were even able to make use of the kayak. I can imagine how much fun the kids would have had if it was summer time! There is also a beautiful trail that takes you around the lake and in to town. Couldn't be happier with communication with the owner, Very responsive! Would definitely recommend this property and hope to come back again during the summer time!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My extended family got together and stayed in this cabin/home the week before Thanksgiving and everyone enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing from the living room and most of the bedrooms. The bedrooms were on different levels which provided everyone their own space. The master bedroom was so large and looked great. My parents got to enjoy that room while my husband and I took the downstairs suite style room. The kids really did enjoy the bunkhouse for some late night movies and video games. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to make every meal. We used the BBQ and cooked in all four nights of our stay. The highlight for the kids was fishing off the dock and using the kayaks. They were excited to cook up the trout they caught. Having family fun with a couple teenagers can be tricky but they were all smiles out on the lake using the kayaks. The only thing you should consider is the stairs going down to the dock. If anyone has trouble with a lot of steps, they wouldn't be able to walk to the dock and would need to enjoy the view from the big beautiful windows. We all had so much fun, we are trying to figure out when we can go back. We were Thankful for the great rental and wonderful family time together!Did you find this review helpful? My family stayed in this lovely cabin to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. You never know what you will find when you rent a place but this was beyond our expecations. It was not only very spacious but we loved that there were bathrooms in each room (and they have a tankless water heater so hot water isn't a problem) and the rooms were spread out. The kids loved the bunkhouse. When we drove up to the "cabin" we were struck by how nice it looked from the outside. It only got better! As you walk downstairs into the livingroom the picture window frames the lake and takes your breath away. It is the only home right there with an unobstruced view of the lake. The cabin was extremely clean and decorated in such a way that you didn't feel you were at a rental. What a wonderful experience!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Five friends and I stayed at the house for three nights and had a ball. The place is comfortable and well-designed, with bedrooms on three levels for extra privacy. There's no false advertising here; it's truly spacious and solid -- in fact, the master suite is even nicer than in the photos. Kids would be over the moon to stay in the separate bunkhouse and feel independent without having to worry about pesky adults! The lake and views are glorious. We enjoyed walking the path around the lake and lounging on the dock and found a beautiful hike about a half hour away. The one issue we had was with lighting in the living room; it was much too dim to read or play games at night. It would've made a big difference, but that could be easily fixed. The house has a few fun special touches, including one in the bar area that I won't spoil! The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (though it took us a few minutes to figure out the stove burners). The owners even left a thoughtful welcome treat. Louis was always helpful, and we'd love to come back. Thank you for a lovely stay!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We just loved this place, great location on the lake, close to the village, great fishing on the dock and great swimming off the dock. We had our family of 5 and another family of 6 there and we had plenty of space and just loved the set up. This is a new family tradition and we will be back year after year!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

This beautiful getaway home was more then we asked for. The house is very large for our family of four. My children loved finding all the different hiding places. The dock was great to fish off of. There was also a kayak that we put to good use. The owner was attentive and easy to deal with. The cabin is an older and of course you have some spiders and ants, but remember you are up in the mountains. My family is already looking to go back sometime soon.Did you find this review helpful? We vacationed in this amazing house for 2 weeks in August. Not only the website description and pictures are true to what you'll find arriving here but you will be also amazed by the view, the comfort and amenities of the house. We spent hours lounging on the dock just below the house, jumping in the emerald waters of the lake or kayaking at sunset. My parents had a wonderful time, so did my 3 y.o and my friends who came to visit. The house is huge and since it is spread over 3 levels, you get a lot of privacy. It is so strange to think that one can be in heaven 2 hours away from L.A. I would highly recommend it. We can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Amazing!! That is the one word I think of when I think of this place. Perfect location. Loved the fact that we were right by the water. I had asked about beach passes and Louis said that in the 10 years they have been there they have never once been to the beach clubs. I can see why. No need to go any further than the dock, loved it! I loved that the walking path was right there too. The beautiful casual walk to the village takes about 45 minutes, no need to even break a sweat if you don't want to! This place was perfect for our family. We have 2 married kids, and 3 unmarried and 2 grandkids. It was great becasue everyone had their own space but we could all hang out together in the livng room with the great view or in the family room downstairs with the big screen TV or around the dining room table playing games. It all felt very comfortable. We also enjoyed eating out on the patio in the mornings and evenings. It was just the perfect place to spend a perfect vacation. We will be back, no need to choose anywhere else!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We enjoyed the family retreat at this well appointed and comfortable home. Bedrooms spread over three levels and a separate bunk house gave everyone, teenagers and adults, plenty of privacy and space to feel right at home. The kitchen/dining/ outdoor patio were well equipped for cooking and gathering. Situated in a family oriented no-wake cove two flights of steps down from the main house, the covered dock and kayaks provided a relaxing lakeside retreat for hours of unplugged recreation. Nice to take an unscripted walk along the edge of the lake path. Walking distance from Jensen's market for any provisions needed for a few lakeside days. Short drive to Lake Arrowhead village for restaurants and friday night free summer concert. All in all a welcome unplugged 4-day retreat!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had an amazing time at this wonderful cabin! The home was so comfortable & spacious and the view of the lake is absolutely incredible! Three families (6 adults & 7 children) stayed here for 5 days and we had more than enough space and never felt cramped or crowded. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need and the giant table was perfect for our large group. We loved having our morning coffee with the beautiful lake as a backdrop and we enjoyed sipping cocktails at sunset on the outdoor patio. We especially loved our time at the dock - we all loved swimming in the lake and made great use of the 2 included kayaks. The bunk house was incredible, too - the kids spent many, many hours in there, and everyone loved having DVD players in their rooms for end of the day movies. Louis (the owner) was a dream to deal with - he was super responsive & accommodating and answered all our questions quickly. We all couldn't stop talking about how amazing our trip was and we will definitely be back to Lake Arrowhead Emerald!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
