Recently we had a family reunion and enjoyed staying in this home. It was comfortable, very clean, decorated in a lovely way, with a large bay window looking out onto an immaculately kept lawn and garden. The house has a quiet, secluded and restful atmosphere. It is well equipped even including a Krueig coffee a machine to make individual cups of coffee, free internet and telephone service and a printer to print out documents. The beds are so comfortable to sleep in, too. Lake Chabot is only a short drive away and Castro Valley Community Center park is nearby with a great play area for children. The owner was very responsive replying quickly to my questions. We're so thankful we found this place! We hope you will enjoy staying here as we did!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks, Carol! We are delighted that the house met your needs! We love the seclusion and the garden too, and enjoy seeing the deer with their fawns this time of year. We try very hard to anticipate our guest's needs and to make them comfortable and are happy to know we succeeded!

I was a little skeptical at first - Castro Valley, where is that? Turns out it's great- 30 minutes by BART from San Francisco and a really nice place to stay at very reasonable rates. This house is single story- great for our kids - and really private in a very nice suburban neighborhood. A huge park with lots of different play areas is within a block. The furniture and decor are new looking and good quality and I really appreciated all the flat screen TVS ( a HUGE one in the media room with Apple TV and premium channels - was able to see my Sunday football games, no problem) and the fast WiFi and iPhone charging clock radios. This house has a country feel- landscaped views out all windows of the house and no noise at all because of the hill location and large lot and trees. Everything we needed was there - even a first aid kit and Keurig coffee machine with free pods. Nice! Check out the Lime Leaf Thai Restaurant in town and Kaspar's Hot Dogs - Mmmm!Owner response: Thanks for your kind words - We love Castro Valley too!

My family of 5 stayed here over the winter holiday and loved this place! The hilltop location, which gives complete privacy, was great- we heard no noise ever and really loved seeing the visiting deer every morning out our windows. This is a ranch-style house, totally remodeled, very clean, with GREAT flat screen TVs in every room, high speed Internet plus a computer to use and a very well-stocked kitchen. All of the rooms look out to gardens on both sides of the house - pretty and peaceful. Even the garage has been remodeled! I especially liked the luxury bedding and obviously new mattresses, which meant a good night's sleep, even with an arthritic back. Plenty of private parking, too. We spent a lot of time in San Francisco, which is 35 minutes away by BART - the station is about 2 miles from the house. Nice, quiet neighborhood, within a block of the large community park. I liked coming back to the suburban comfort and quiet every night, especially given the very reasonable rates for a family of 5 staying in the SF Bay Area. Nice owners, too - willing to answer all our many questions. We'll be back the next time we're in the Bay Area!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks, Amanda- We're so glad you appreciated all the house has to offer!
