This place was not a 5 star hotel which means no water falls in the lobbies or overpriced restaurants. The beach and pool were great. The room, for the price was the best deal in town. I watched the sun rise every morning over the mountains and the set over the water every evening. I walked into town (a 5 minute walk) and shopped, ate and people watched as I walked the shop filled streets. I even met and had my picture taken with Mick Fleetwood. Great time and look forward to going backRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Lahaina Shores is located just a few blocks south of the town. The location is perfect for shopping and dining. I have stayed at this resort and rented room #626 several times now. One of the things I like best about the room was it has a murphy bed. Unlike the rooms our friends rented, we could raise the bed during the day. This gave it a great room concept from the kitchen to the lanai. The pool and hot tub were inviting and are never crowded. Everyday we used the barbeque located on the premises and ate lunch by the pool. The room was perfect and fit all of my family’s needs.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Year Purchased: 1985
About the owner: We've been enjoying Hawaii from January to April for 30 plus years. After 2 years of hotel hopping we discovered lahaina Shores by accident. Remimber there was no internet in those days. We rented a room the following January and loved it so much we bought a unit and called it out second home.
Why the Owner Chose Lahaina Shores Beach Resort:
One of the things we enjoy most about Lahaina Shores, unlike the other larger hotels on the island is you never feel crowed at the pool or enjoying the sun on the front lawn. You don't have 300 people crowding into an area made for 100.
