Spent a week at this very nice home with my wife, baby daughter, mother in law and my wife's grandmother. Four generations of women along with myself. We each had a wonderful time. The highlight is the deck that overlooks the water. We ate most of our meals out there. The home is located only minutes from Bryson City and about 30 min from the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Beautiful get away yet close to everything in the area.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We rented this home for Our first trip to Fontana Lake and the Bryson City area as a family of four with two teenagers. From the private gated entrance of the neighborhood to the secluded and very private property this house is a true quiet getaway. This custom home is very well apportioned with everything from granite countertops in the kitchen to the two person jacuzzi tub. We were extremely pleased with the home itself. Every morning I would get up before my wife and kids and go for a walk for an hour or so. Walking up the drive and back then past the house to the lake a couple of times takes anywhere from 45 min to an hour and is very peaceful and relaxing. The house sits on a nice point in the lake with views that the camera cannot capture. Keep in mind that the great views require a little altitude so the walk down to the lake and dock is a few hundred feet but was enjoyable to us because that's where our boat was and the fun on the lake. I could go on and on about zip lining tours we did, tubing on Deep Creek, horseback riding in Nantahala Forest, hiking, exploring Bryson City, eating at local restaurants, and the most beautiful lake I have been on. We were very pleased with this home and highly recommend it. Being the first to stay here I say book it you will be pleased.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
