  The minute I walked into the loft, I realized the photos didn't even do it justice. It was bigger than I imagined and the attention to detail was incredible. My husband and I are pretty self sufficient so we didn't need much, but everything was thought of. A few things stood out, like the washer/dryer and the bed! We slept so well every night, leaving the window open to hear the winds rustling the trees outside. The dryer was crucial, we had towels ready to go every day at the beach. We did all of our shopping at whole foods in Kailua just a 10 minute drive away and grilled every night before going down to the beach to watch the moon rise over the offshore islands. It was a beautiful and romantic week, I feel like we had our very own private paradise in lanikai. We spent the week hiking, kayaking, and reading on the beach. A few things worth mentioning- this is not a party rental, it's residential. You'll sink into the rhythm of the neighborhood, everyone walks their dogs on the beach in the morning, it's wonderful to see everyone greet each other by name. By the end of the week we had met neighbors, and left feeling like we were part of something special. They are fiercely protective of their beach, with good reason. There are no amenities at the beach, bring an extra bag for your trash, and leave it cleaner than when you came. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world, I look forward to recommending it to everyone who needs a week to relax.

  We had a lovely time at Lola's loft! The location can't be beat and the studio is quite comfortable. The bed was amazing and it was a blessing to have the option for A/C when the humidity and heat were high. the kitchen is great for quick snacks and simple food prep, but it does not have a stove top, oven, real coffee pot (there is a keurig, but this felt a bit sad in the land of kona coffee so we macguyvered a drip system out of an empty plastic container and filters), or any significant cooking equipment. it was so nice and warm though that it was just fine to not cook! It is very private from the street and somewhat private from the owners. Be warned that it feels like you can hear everything from the main house and we felt like we had to whisper if we wanted our conversations to be private. You probably don't want to stay here if you plan to stay up late with loud music, have kids, or are on your honeymoon. That being said the owner and manager were very accommodating and they have made available a variety of snorkeling equipment, kayaks (for rent) and beach chairs. We went ahead and rented bikes from kailua surf and sail boards (a great experience in and of itself), but on our last day the owner mentioned that they have bikes available there as well. The manager was also very prompt in getting back to us with any questions and that was huge since we realized at 6pm the day of our arrival that we had no idea where to go or how to get into the house!!! Overall it was a great experience and I would happily stay there again! Thanks for the very comfortable and easy vacation!

  My girlfriend and I stayed at Lola's for 3 nights on our trip to Oahu. We fell in love with the place immediately. The room was well maintained, the bed was comfy and cozy, the property owners were very friendly and helpful and the beach access was great! We both wished we would have booked the place for a few more nights of our trip. We will definitely stay at Lolas again if it's available next time we visit the island! Thanks for an amazing time!

  My husband and I stayed at Lola's Loft while visiting relatives on Oahu. The place was perfect for us. Location is everything, or so they say, and this place was a very short walk (about 6 houses down) to Lanikai Beach and within a short driving distance to family in Kailua and Waimanalo. The place was well equipped and stylishly decorated. We used the provided kayaks to visit the North Mokulua (Mokes) island. I got a bit beat up getting to the shore -- paddle hard and get you and your kayak out of the water fast -- but I would do it again. We appreciated and used the larger refrigerator and the washer and dryer. Margret was great to work with and even let us check out a few hours late on our last day because our flight didn't leave until the evening. Although we heard some use of the stairs outside the loft (and inside the owners' home), the place felt very private. The owner introduced himself, but let us be. We really appreciated the privacy. We are looking forward to our next stay at Lola's!

  Lola's Lanikai Loft is a very nicely appointed studio apartment located above the owners' home. Within the studio is a very comfy 4 poster bed, couch with TV, kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator,Keurig coffee pot, toaster, small table for two, full bathroom with a small washer and dryer. The unit was very clean but really only suitable for two people-not three.The best point is the location; you are half a block from beach access point number 4 to the Lanikai beach. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful. As there are no changing facilities or bathrooms at this beach, it was great to be able to walk back and forth to the beach. Walking to Kailua is about 2.5 miles each way on an easy bike path. The Loft has snorkel equipment for use; kayaks are available for an extra fee. The only small downside was that parking is at a premium on this small lane; if you move your car, you may not find parking on this street until the beach users depart for the day. In addition, the wireless wasn't working and if we had had to do work while there, this would have been an issue. Although we tried to resolve the wireless issue for three days,the manager and owner were unable to provide us with wireless access. For a few days away on a gorgeous beach, this is a great getaway.

  Lola's loft was a perfect location to enjoy the beach and the local Lanikai activities. The loft was quiet, relaxing and had everything we needed. Everything was new, clean and beautifully decorated! My husband and I loved our stay! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

  My husband and I just finished our stay here at Lola's Lanikai Loft and it was lovely. It's a beautiful loft. Charming, well appointed and meticulously clean while still having that feeling of Aloha. It is just steps to the famous Lanikai Beach access #4 ( for those that know the area) and walking distance to our favorite places. Use of the kayaks and other snorkel and water toys was a special plus. We highly recommend the Loft !

Aloha, The kayaks on the property are $40 a day for both. You can add it to your total cost or pay by cash or check at the loft. If you add it to the total cost we will give them to you for only $30 a day.
