Ahh! Kick-back, relax and breathe the clean mountain air. Enjoy the soothing aroma of the tall pines and cedars that will surround you in our comfortable cabin, perfectly located in beautiful Blue Lake Springs.
You and your family will enjoy our cozy mountain cabin that has a location that you will love. It's only steps to Snowflake Lake, the Rec Center and Sequoia Wood County Club.
Our kids walk to the lake, the rec center and the pool, floaties under arm. Yours can too. You'll have use of all of the Blue Lake Springs facilities; two lakes, a pool, tennis courts, ping pong, shuffleboard, volleyball, manicured lawns, lakeside beaches and much more.
One feature we enjoy after a fun-filled family day, is the upstairs family room for the kids. They can have their time while we enjoy the large living room, warmed by the wood-burning stove.
There's lots of deck area, with lots of sun and nice forest views and plenty of privacy.
The cabin will sleep 7-8 comfortably. There are 3 bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs and two full baths. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, one upstairs has a double and the other has 3 twin beds. There is a queen hide-a-bed in the family room sofa.

Five minutes from the cabin is BIG TREES STATE PARK, which features miles of hiking trails, some of the largest trees in the world, fishing and bird watching. Also five minutes from us is the town of Arnold and White Pines lake, which is WELL STOCKED with trout. It's a beautiful lake for swimming, fishing, small boat sailing, kayaking and just plain hanging out. Just a few feet from White Pines lake is one of the trailheads for the Arnold RIM TRAIL which is a first class mountain bike and walking trail (dog friendly). There are many miles of mountain bike and 4-wheel drive trails within minutes. If you prefer to buy your fish, Big Trees Market in Arnold has the best fish and meat department in Calaveras County. They also have a great selection of food and wines. Check out Alpine Lake, Utica Lake, Union Lake, New Melones Dam, Spicer Lake and don't forget the majestic Stanislaus River which is 15 minutes from our place. There is WINE TASTING and shopping in the beautiful town of Murphys, explore caves and go zip lining at Moaning Caverns, spend some time in the historic town of Columbia with stage coach rides (complete with stage coach robbers), a black smith and an old-fashioned candy store, Beautiful Sequoia Woods golf course is 300 yards (less than a Bubba Watson drive) from our front door. In the winter, SKI and SNOWBOARD AT BEAR VALLEY, a 30 minute drive. Bear Valley is the most family-friendly ski resort in California. The terrain varies from beginner to double-black diamond. There's SNOWMOBILING there too. Bear Valley offers cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, and snow shoeing. Bear Valley Lodge offers dining, games & cocoa by the giant stone fireplace; the perfect spot to warm up after a day in the snow. For summer fun, SWIM, FISH and PLAY (Bring your floaties) in Snowflake lake located only 200 yards from the cabin. The lake, complete with a lifeguard, features a beautiful sandy beach, volleyball, dock and mid-lake floats for your pleasure. We've watched our kids catch many tadpoles, frogs and fish which has been very entertaining for all. The POOL (with lap lanes and adult swim times) and RECREATION CENTER with tennis, shuffleboard, ping pong are only a few steps more. WATCH OUTDOOR MOVIES on some of the warm summer nights. You might enjoy the evening BINGO games or perhaps a game of bocce. ...morecollapse

Jim and his family have a very nice cabin. Jim spent time with me prior to renting the cabin to discuss various details of the cabin along with things we can do with our family near Arnold. He was very pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The cabin was extremely clean and well kept. The wood burning stove keeps the main room very toasty which we liked. Also, they have heat in each room so if you don't want to fire up the stove you can still be very comfortable in the home. We will plan another trip to Arnold and will surely use their cabin if it is available.

Wonderful Weekend Away!
Wonderful Weekend Away!
My, oh my! This cabin was the perfect place for my fiancé and I to stay over the weekend with our pup. While it was a little big for us (we didn't use the upstairs at all), it was still an amazing place and the perfect price. We booked last minute, but still were able to come to a warm, lit, clean cabin late on Friday night. The rooms looked great, the bathroom was spotless, and the kitchen was well equipped. The pictures on the listing left no surprises when we arrived--we got what we expected! I would definitely recommend this property to others, and we plan on booking the place again soon! Especially because the owners were so helpful, and was sure to let us know that we could contact them if we encountered any problems or needed anything! This was a great rental, and I can't wait to come back again!

Nice house, nice owners. Nice that we didn't have to bring our own bedding.

Great Comfy Cabin
Great Comfy Cabin
Many nice amenities make this cabin very easy to stay at. Great large decks. Good supplies in the kitchen very attractive living room. The home looks even better than the photos. It might be pet friendly but the cabin was super clean top to bottom. Great! Dog fences on decks. Owner very helpful start to finish. Great location. I have stayed in quite a few cabins and this was first rate. We'll be back.

Owner response: Thank you for the nice review! We'll keep the light on for you!
Great location, perfect size for our needs with our 2 children, clean, well equipped for a simple weekend away. The access to the recreational facilities was nice, most worth the fee if we planned on spending most of the day there. The wifi was great, love having a washing machine when traveling with kids. All for a very affordable price.

About the owner: We've been living part-time in Arnold for almost twenty years. The location of this cabin is by far our favorite. Our four kids love it here. The kids are getting older and we're not using it as much as we used to. We still enjoy it occasionally, but would like to share it with others.
