Kamaole Beach Royale condo description
Our end unit condo is on the 3rd floor(there is an elevator), Unit #301. We have lots of cool, fresh Maui breezes coming through our unit. We also have air conditioning if needed. Our unit is 1380 square feet and includes a double lanai off the living room and master bedroom. We have installed new flooring, completely painted the entire condo including ceilings in 2013 and purchased new furniture. It is a quick walk to the beach for snorkeling, paddle boarding, swimming or just plain relaxing! At the end of a busy day, so nice to sit on the beach or lanai and watch beautiful Maui sunsets. Relax with a book at pool side or watch whales from our lanai. Our rooftop grill area is an awesome area to get a fantastic view and has 'industrial strength' grills to accomodate you! Our condo is fully equipped including a new stackable washer and dryer purchased in 2012.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen utensils/plates, blender,coffee maker etc.We have free off street parking, free island phone, free WIFI, cable color TV, DVD and CD players. Don't forget the beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and beach toys for the kids that are included with our condo. For small children/infants, there is a new pack 'n play for sleeping as well as a foldable high chair. 2014 brings a new dishwasher as well as screen door covering the front door(in response to our guests requests).

- Kamaole Beach Royale is located in the sunny area of South Kihei, 20 minutes from the airport. ABC store and gas station next door. Kamaole I Beach in front(one of best beaches on Maui!) of our condo. Paddle board and snorkel equipment rental next door. Open air fruit and vegetable markets close by. Many small restaurants as well as shave ice vendors very close by. Don't forget to stop by the Surfing Goat Dairy and the beautiful Iao Valley State Park. Heritage Park shows many structures that the immigrants to Hawaii lived in. Right along Kihei Road is the Humpback Whale Sanctuary/Museum. The best vacation rental ever!
My hubby and I spent our thanksgiving week with parents and parents in law at this condo. Everything was perfect: all amenities were included, furnitures were in good condition, facilities functioned well, and the GREAT VIEW in balcony- we love having breakfast at this lovely patio with sunshine and ocean view! The most important is HELPFUL MANAGEMENT! Many thanks to Rose and Vince! We all love you and the party on thanksgiving. The turkey on Wednesday night was so good:) It was definitely a memorable trip for us.

Myself, my girlfriend, and 4 of our friends (all in our late-20's to late-30s) stayed here from October 30th through November 6th. The size was perfect for the 6 of us. All the beds were comfortable, all the linens were clean and of decent quality. The kitchen was fully stocked, so that was a plus. All in all, the entire condo was very clean. The shower in the master could have probably used a good grout-cleaning, but other than that, as far as cleanliness is concerned, the rest of the condo was top notch. The keys to the condo had a grocery store card attached to it, and it came in quite handy: we saved $70 on our first bill (net ended up being around $300). That was a nice savings! We didn't get a chance to use the grill on the roof since every time we went up there, it was jam packed with people. We also didn't utilize any of the beach gear on the lanai, we had our own so I cannot comment on the quality of that. Complaints (both minor): 1) The A/C kept the living room quite cool, however it was difficult to pipe that cool air to the two front rooms. As others have noted, those two front rooms get quite warm at night with the doors closed. Not sure what could be done about this besides installing a lockable screen door to allow both ends of the condo to be open at night to let the breeze flow through better. It should also be noted that the A/C causes water to drip onto the lanai, making the carpet directly outside of the living room wet, so there's a small chance of slipping when you walk back in from the lanai if the A/C was running. 2) Ants can't be helped as it is in a tropical climate, but ants immediately invaded any food that was out (namely the Krispy Kreme donuts). A minor inconvenience; we bought some Terro (liquid ant bait) and left some around the condo. You might want to think about providing future tenants with a supply of Terro so they don't have to incur that cost. We learned our lesson with the food, though: everything was tightly sealed or refrigerated after the first night. The condo suited our needs. We got it for a great price--it turned out to be about $35/person/night for a 7-night stay. It was in a great location: directly across the street from Kamaole Beach, and close driving (10-15 minutes, traffic dependent) to Makena & Black Sand Beaches. There's a place you can rent bicycles from across the street as well, and you can lock them up at the condo complex, too. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My family enjoyed our stay, we love the location and proximity of the condo to the beach. The layout and size of the condo was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The new furniture, very comfortable beds and linens were very nice as was the well-stocked kitchen with complete appliances and dishes. Beautiful new flooring, however, I had to ask the front desk for some tape to tape down the transition strip between the dining room and hallway to the kitchen, as it was not properly affixed. We were told that it was supposed to be permanently fixed but had not yet been taken care of. The beach items (chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards) could all use replacing. Both beach umbrellas were broken (though still usable) and the beach chairs were also very worn, 2 were rusty and 2 had the nylon seating torn. The red cooler could also use a very good power cleaning or replacing- we didn't use it at all. We left a new boogie board and child's snorkel set as an addition to the beach items. The kitchen could also use a better cleaning. When we arrived, the refrigerator shelves had sticky spots and counters and stove needed a more thorough wipe down. I had to reach above the fridge to find the rice cooker and the rice cooker lid had mold on it. I appreciated there being cleaners and soap under the sink so that I could do a more through cleaning myself. The ceiling fans worked great but it might be a consideration to upgrade the AC unit to a newer or more powerful AC as the AC air does not reach the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Thank goodness the windows throughout the condo are beautiful and allow the trade winds to flow through the condo perfectly. We have stayed in another unit at The same building previously and it is very nice to have a screen door on the front door so that you can keep the front door open to enjoy the trade winds without worry about security. Overall, the condo was very well suited to our needs, a few items to update and it would be perfect. Thank you for allowing us to share your Maui home.

My family of five appreciated the location, view, updated flooring in the main living area and the updated and well-stocked kitchen. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met in many other areas in the condo. We found the paint color very off-putting and ugly. All members of my family complained about the bedding, which was very poor quality, and received complaints from all. There were also negative comments about the state of the bathroom fixtures and the bathtubs. The drapes were very old, and actually shredded in several places. One last thing, the toilet paper was the cheapest quality that any of us had ever seen. I would have difficulty recommending this property for the price we paid.

We are going to Maui in April and will be replacing bedding and drapes. The bathrooms will be tackled next. I guess that paint color is a personal preference. About: Frank and I grew up loving the beach! We are blessed to have 4 children and 6 grandkids.We have been coming to Hawaii for the past 24 years and have fallen in love with the Kihei area! Our dream of spending our 'retirement years' close to the beach was realized when we were able to buy our Unit at Kamaole Beach Royale. This a perfect condo to house families or larger groups! We have made may rennovations in 2012 and 2013. These include replacing the carpet in the living room and master bedroom with hard wood flooring, painting the entire condo in 2013, and replacing the tiled area in the bathroom and dressing room area off the master bedroom. We have also purchased a new stackable washer and dryer. New beddings and linens also were provided in 2013. We visit our 'home away from home' once or twice a year. This condo was just what we were looking for.Close to the beach, swimming pool, end unit with cool ocean breezes. (We haven't used our air conditiong yet!) The weather is superb! To be quite honest, Rose and Vince Davi (the property managers) are the best! We have chosen them to manage our rentals instead of doing this ourselves. We live in Minnesota and it was extremely important to us to have an onsite rental manager. Rose and Vince actually live onsite and are wonderful. We want you to have the best vacation experience ever and Rose and Vince can help in any areas that you might need.
