Peaceful retreat home that has plenty of spacious living area that can easily be shared in multi family gatherings. Surrounded by woods with a spectacular view of the mountains it is a true 'get away'. Being such a quiet and serene property it is a favorite for deer to visit and linger.
The main floor is 2100 sq. feet and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and has a large bathroom with both a large garden tub and separate shower. With nothing but trees and mountains outside the master area it provides plenty of privacy to enjoy relaxing and enjoying the view.
On the other side of the home are two bedrooms with a bathroom between. Both of these bedrooms have queen sized beds and have wonderful views and privacy also.
The rest of the upper level flows from room to room and offers a spacious and enjoyable living space.
The very large kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare and serve meals and has a spacious eating area as well. It has a dishwasher, microwave, ice maker and much more. Plenty of room in this kitchen for guests to be together during meal preparation!
A separate dining room is off the kitchen and has plenty of beverage glasses including wine glasses, and cocktail glasses stored in the buffet for entertaining. The dining table seats 8 and the room is plenty big to add folding tables (in the home) to it for large sit down meals.
The very spacious living room is off the dining area. It looks out to the mountains through two large glass 'french' type doors that are on either side of the wood burning stone fireplace. Plenty of comfortable seating is in the living room and it has a TV with cable and a DVD player.
The deck off the living room that looks over miles and miles of mountains has plenty of seating area for all to enjoy. Spectacular sunsets are common when relaxing on the deck in the evening.
Down stairs is a large 800 + sq. ft. room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a queen sized pull out couch. A full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub is in this lower level. It is able to comfortably accommodate additional air mattresses/beds if needed.This downstairs room is ideal for children to enjoy their own area to sleep and have their own entertainment, it has cable TV and a DVD player.
The lower level also has it's own entrance and private covered deck that goes out to a large yard. Stairs attach the upper and lower decks on the outside to make it easy for guest to go from one deck to the other. The door from the lower level den area on to the deck and outside has a security lock that can be used for parents peace of mind.
A separate laundry room with washer and dryer is available for guests convenience and a garage offers covered parking.
For entertainment enjoy a library of many different types of books, games, a Casio keyboard, and WIFI.
A gas grill is available for your outdoor cooking. Fishing poles and golf clubs are available for our guests as well. Blow up the inflatable tubes there for you and float around on the lake and unwind!
Connestee Falls is a unique gated 3900 acre community. 'Ecologically designed to preserve the natural environment, in an uncrowded, unpolluted, unhurried way of life.'
Guests have access to four lakes for swimming and great picnicking at lakeside, the lakes are also fully stocked for fishing. Fishing licenses are able to be purchased at the Connestee Falls office for your convenience.
Other activities/amenities the community offers are hiking trails, a large clubhouse with two restaurants, tennis courts, walking track and trails, golf course, driving range, bocce courts, heated lap pool, fitness center, massage therapy, basketball courts, playground, separate enclosed swimming area in the lake for younger children and much more.
Our most recent family of guests described our community as 'a place you can have your entire vacation! You don't have to leave and go anywhere!'. They enjoyed discovering the trails, waterfalls, lakes, play area for the kids, the gym, outside workout area, and so much more. After long days of fun, they enjoyed calling down to the grill at the clubhouse to be able to pick up dinner so they could just relax on the deck and not cook that night. Of course they did venture out and visited many of the waterfalls in our area, tubed down a river, shopped and dined in charming Brevard, and at the end of their stay vowed to return very soon because there was so much more they wanted to do.
Wonderful stables are near by to enjoy many of the equestrian trails. Tubing, white water rafting, fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking down beautiful rivers are enjoyable activities. Guided river trips are available as well.
We have a 'fun' book at our home with descriptions of what are some of the best 'things to do', how to get there, phone numbers of businesses, menus from local restaurants, flyers from local shops, and maps of the area to help you enjoy your stay.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying here. Patti is a great lesser and she is so accomodating. The house has a great view and plenty of comfortable spaces to sleep. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an awesome gift basket of delicious treats and a helpful note with all the instructions we would need. The atmosphere was incredible! This property was located at the top of the mountain in a quiet gated community with wild deer roaming the roads. Our family found the home to be comfortable and cozy. There was a central fireplace to warm the heart. Communication with the homeowner was at its highest. The homeowners were very helpful in answering questions regarding the property, the rental agreement, checking out activities as well as activities in the surrounding area. Our experience was wonderful at this property. With sheer curtains to open the view from the house, please be prepared to wake up to the glorious morning sun. We did and enjoyed the view.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home has the best view of the Smokey Mountains. It has this amazing back porch that lets you sit and view the deer that come in the back yard. It was so clean and so much space. My family and I enjoyed it so much we did not want to leave. It has an awesome hot tub in the bathroom that was so relaxing. It is close to many of the attractions that my family and I wanted to visit. If you are looking for a great place to vacation then this is it!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Very well kept property. Extremely easy owner to work with very prompt responses and attention to details. House came stocked with candy, which was a nice welcoming touch. Connesstee Falls is an an established gated community with dramatic topography, gorgeous lakes and wildlife. Great jump off point for access to Brevard, Asheville, Hendersonville and Greenville. The western access to Dupont State Forest is practically across the street. Take a serious look at this property.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We had the best time in this house. It is so spacious and comfortable. The kids loved having their own space (and we didnt mind it either!!!) We could have stayed a month and still not wanted to go home. The view was amazing from the top deck but the bottom deck offered the comfort of being outside and enjoying the sights and sounds of the mountains even while it was raining. My husband and I sat out there during a little storm on the swing with a glass of wine, not something you get to do everyday. We didnt even have to leave the neighborhood to enjoy hiking, swimming in the lake, and waterfalls (just breath taking). When we did leave the house and venture out of the development we were only minutes away from swimming in a waterfall, the best view you may ever see in your life and a sweet artsy town. The owner provided us with all this information so there was no trying to hunt down the best things to see and do. Such a nice and thoughtful touch on her part. We can not wait to return to this house next year and bring another family with us. It is the perfect house for vacationing with family friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable with so many thoughtful recommendations. We had everything we needed and felt so comfortable in your home. We really enjoyed hiking to waterfalls through Pisgah Nat'l Forest and at Du Pont State Park. All of our dining experiences were great too! This will be our new annual vacation home! My husband, myself, and our two children had plenty of room to spare in this lovely home. We felt safe and secure in this beautiful, gated community. Plenty to do here! Hubby and I were able to get in a few rounds of golf, the kids swam in the lake, and we enjoyed a lazy river ride tubing on the scenic French Broad River. Kitchen is well-stocked if you want to cook. If you want the night off, you can call the clubhouse for dinner or go into Brevard to one of their many hometown restaurants. Patty (the owner) was gracious and helpful in answering all of my questions. Home is very clean and spacious. We will be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and I visited for her birthday in October 2011. What a beautiful home, and the views were breathtaking. If you've never been to North Carolina when the leaves are changing, you need do so. The mountainside home is in a gated community, but there's so much space between you and the neighbors that it really is "getting away." A short drive down the mountain is Brevard, which is a quaint town with a lively downtown area. There you will find coffee shops, restaurants, antique stores, and the coolest toy store anywhere. As you're driving down the mountain, make sure you stop at some of the art studios that dot the road. For recreation, we spent the days hiking in the Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests, Dupont State Forest, and Caesar's Head State Park. There are so many waterfalls and hiking trails nearby, it's hard to point out a single place to recommend for outdoor activities. One drive not to be missed is the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's beautiful any time of year, but spectacular when the leaves are changing. While it can be a bit chilly in October, we still drove with the top off the Jeep and cranked the heat. Make sure to stop at the various overlooks, etc. along the way. At the end of the day, it was nice to retreat to this lovely home, enjoy the views off the deck, and sit by the fire.
