  ALOHA CRAIG Just wanted to comment what a great time we had, the only thing bad about going to hawaii is you have to go home. It is the second time we used your condo and like the first it could not be better. This time my wife and I brought my sister and a friends mom with us. All of us had a great time and didn't want to leave. With all the extras you provide boogie boards, ice chest, chairs, umbrella's I have to say sorry I did not use any of them. Didn't need them, we were very lazy this visit. Didn't need anything except the pool and lanai. The Papakea Resort is just the best . We have stayed at other resorts but they don't have the relaxed feeling you get the minute you arrive at your condo. We did a whale watch excursion and followed 8 whales putting on a show for about 45 minutes. The next morning we had an encore performance right in front of the condo. Used the pool barbacue several times cooking steaks, hamburgers and hotdogs. Visited several restaruants and gelato shops right there by the condo and in lahaina. Have to say added 5 pounds to my weight while on vacation. Craig once again thank you for a great 8 days. The condo was great very clean and you are always great to deal with. You will be hearing from me soon we are looking to come back in October.

  Beautiful condo with outdoor balcony that provided wonderful view of the pool, waterponds with fountains, the ocean and spectacular sunsets. The condo was well maintained with high vaulted ceilings, nice size kitchen and flat screen televisions in all the bedrooms. The resort grounds had beautiful flowering plants throughout, large lawn areas, lots of coconut palm trees, and also a very large putting green. I would recommend this condo to all my friends and family.

  What a fantastic place to stay for a families! My family and another rented the unit together for a total of four adults and four children under the age of 10 in the unit. The unit comfortably housed our group for the 8 nights we stayed. The resort grounds are beautiful and the views from the lanai are fantastic. Waking up each morning to watch the whales from the lanai was such an unexpected treat. Our kids really enjoyed the pools and putting courses when we weren't at the beach. Speaking of the beach, Craig (the owner) has the unit stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and boogie boards which really cut down on any extras to pack or things to buy once you reach Maui. The location is also within 10 - 15 minutes of at least five stunning beaches along the Ka'anapoli coast. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and the in suite laundry was much appreciated. Any supplies you need can be purchased at the supermarket within 5 minutes walk from the condo. Craig was very easy to deal with during the booking process and was most helpful with a few questions we had as our trip approached. Mahalo Craig, for a wonderful stay on Maui and we look forward to staying in your condo again in the future!

  The condo was EXACTLY as depicted in the pictures on the web site. Six adults were in our party and spent a VERY COMFORTABLE 7 days and 7 nights. We had the water line to the ice maker break and leak water; we turned off the supply and the owner responded with a repair in < 24 hours. We fully appreciated all the extra amenities (beach towels, putters, boogie boards, cooler) that were included in our stay. This was our third time to stay at Papakea and BY FAR the BEST!! We highly recommend it!

  Hi Craig, I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay in your Condo at the Papekea Resort. It was beautiful and absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The ocean view is spectacular and takes your breath away the minute you walk in the door. We spent every morning on the Lanai with coffee in one hand and binoculars in the other watching the whales. The pictures posted do not do the unit justice. The unit was clean and well stocked. There is even a slow cocker that we made use of. The resort is quiet and definitely family friendly, although we also saw many retiree's and newlyweds by the pool. We enjoyed the use of the putting greens and really appreciated that there were 4 putters in the unit. The 5 beach chairs also came in handy as well as the boogie boards and beach umbrellas. We did add to your collection of beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas. You should find an additional beach umbrella and 2 boogie boards in the beach closet and we left an additional 2 boogie boards and 2 beach chairs in master bedroom closet. I hope that others will use these and enjoy their beach days as much as we did :). For those that love to boogie board DT Flemming beach 10 min north is the place to go, make sure that you get there early in the day as the winds pick up in the afternoon. It was nice to be within walking distance of the super market and the Gelato ice cream parlour which are located across the street. We also enjoyed many lovely meals( Cheeseburger Paradise, Buba Gumps, The Outback, and Hard Rock Cafe, to name a few) in Lahaina only a 10 min drive south. Thank you again for being so responsive to my emails and attentive to my questions and our dishwasher dilemma !! Our kids are already bugging us to vacation in Maui again next year and if we decide to return i will definitely be contacting you to reserve your unit again. Take care and thanks again !!   We had everything we needed for our 2 week stay, the condo was very clean and comfortable. At this time of year there was a never-ending show of humpback whales off the lanai. We enjoyed use of the pool, hot tub and barbeques regularly. We had a lovely dinner at Java Jazz right down the street and if you ever want the best fish taco or burrito for real.... go to Ono Tacos! It is across from the ABC, just a grill and a few tables off of their residence. The best we have had from any of the islands. Mahalo Craig! We will recommend you for anyone who wants to go to Maui! Back in the snow...it sucks.

  Condo exactly as described! Grounds stunning as well as the views from the deck Great location, and fantastic market walking distance that runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Condo is stocked with small cooler and comfortable, easy to carry beach chairs and a few other beachy items. Grocery store right across the street. I could go on and on, but I would definitely stay there again. Craig was easy to communicate with and very fast in his replies! Thanks for a great experience!!

  When my brother moved to Tokyo a year and an half ago we agreed to meet ‘halfway’ in Hawaii for Christmas this year! (Lucky us!!) My parents and I flew over to meet up with him and we spent a week in Maui for a pre-Christmas celebration. We lucked out finding Craig’s condo on VRBO. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations from his condo or from Papakea. It was perfect for our needs and a very comfortable place to relax. It had everything we needed and then some, which was a treat. We really appreciated all the well thought out extras!! We spent a lot of time on the lanai sipping our morning coffee as we constructed our plans for the day and then again in the evening for a few happy hour beverages! (I think a few siestas were had out there as well!) The view was great and the grounds are really pretty at night. We made good use of the pool, hot tub and the grills by the pool! I fully agree with the other reviews and as mentioned the location of this resort is convenient to restaurants, shopping and my dads favorite…the grocery store. The concierge ladies were also a great help in planning our excursions. You’ve got yourself a gem here Craig! Hoping to return again soon! Mahalo Mahalo Julie and family

  Our stay at Papakea was outstanding! The accommodations were comfortable and well-stocked with absolutely everything including fun things to do. Didn't have to move farther than the balcony to enjoy a gorgeous view while sipping our mai tais. Anything we needed was located within walking distance (shopping, groceries, snorkeling, etc). The owner is amazing. He was extremely responsive to our questions and anything we needed. He recommended some fun things to do/see while we were there and we were not disappointed. If you get a chance, the Warren and Annabelle show was fantastic. We laughed until our cheeks hurt. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for everything Craig.

  I rented Craig's condo for my son, wife and grandson. They loved the accomodations. My unit was not as well appointed. The unit is very clean, comfortable and convenient. The fourth floor view overlooks the grounds. I have stayed at Papakea Resort four times. It's a highly recommended experience while on Maui. Mahalo!
