The C Lazy J Ranch is located north of Savery, Wyoming, in the Little Snake River Valley, surrounded by sage hills and close to the Medicine Bow National Forest. Use our guest quarters as base for outdoor activities galore or as a private retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
Guests stay in a fully furnished one bath, one bedroom apartment. The bedroom is equipped with queen bed and living area adds a full sofa bed. Sleeps 3 or 4. There's a full kitchen for you and corral space with hay and water for up to four of your horses. Parking for your horse trailer or camper is available.
C Lazy J Ranch is a working cattle ranch with tremendous mountain and valley scenery. You can fish one of the most beautiful and unknown trout streams in the west. Hike or hunt or mountain bike or horseback ride or watch the variety of birds and wildlife available all around. Learn the history of the area at the museum in Savery which includes mountain man, Jim Baker's cabin. Or drive over the Continental Divide to Encampment and Saratoga, Wyoming for more history and fishing.
We are just north of the Colorado border and a two hour very scenic drive through Columbine and Hahn's Peak to the mountain resort town of Steamboat Springs.
Hunters will want to know the ranch is located in the draw area 82 or the general region W.
With all the above available, you won't even miss the bright lights and hum of the city--you will kick back, relax and watch the myriad of stars peek out one by one as you listen to the frogs, crickets and birds sing you to sleep at night in your own private hideaway loft.

We visit the area every summer with our horses and wanted to upgrade from camping. Thank goodness we found this ranch. The apartment is private, clean, cozy and there were fresh eggs in the fridge! The corrals are safe, the grounds spotless and the views divine. We will definitely return.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: The lovely Wyoming scenery in this valley really cannot be beat. Enjoy it from horseback, foot, or porch.

In general, I am not the most talented fisherman. I was pleasantly surprised to catch lovely 14 inch rainbow trout almost as soon as I cast my line! Add that to the beautiful scenery, the miles of uninhabited space, and the FRESH air, and my vacation was perfect. The fresh eggs were divine (I may be ruined for supermarket eggs), and the apartment was cozy and private. And the STARS!!! Thank you C Lazy J!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, Angela. We may be off the beaten path, but there are other compensations for finding us.
