We stayed four days at this marvelous home which is in walking distance to the bustling Gaslamp district or even the convention center. It's a architectural gem you can't really notice from the street. Inside it is just fantastic. Next to the artsy deco it had all the amenities you would like to have. Too bad, the weather wasn't right. The deck on the top floor would have been perfect for a lovely BBQ. We would definite choose this property again ...Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Joerg - thank you for staying at the property! It was a pleasure having you here. I know the weather wasn't the best and you had some rain. San Diego usually doesn't get rain in May! In fact, it doesn't rain that much at all here - only about 12 inches a year. So that was really a rare occurrence in May. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the property so much despite the weather. Looking forward to having you stay in the future - you are the perfect guests and took great care of the property. Thank you so much!!!!

We stayed here for five days while attending a conference in early January. It's a gorgeous and comfortable property, easy walking distance from the main streets in the Gas Lamp District. It's also walkable to the Convention Center. Better yet, the owner responded almost immediately to all queries and provided impeccable service throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much Olav for staying and taking such great care of the property! I'm so happy that you enjoyed your stay! That's what its all about:) You and your family were amazing to meet! Best to you guys!~Stewart.

We recently stayed at this property 6 days for a Physical Therapy Convention. It was a great location, close to the convention center and Gaslamp District. The house is beautiful, with 3 stories of modern furniture and beautiful artwork. It was very relaxing for all of us girls. There is everything you would need for a great stay. The owner is extremely helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this property to anyone going to a convention or just looking for a beautiful vacation stay in downtown San Diego. The balconies overlook the city and we had a wonderful and relaxing trip. I would love to go back and stay here in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Jessica it was a pleasure having you and your party stay here at the property! Thank you. Looking forward to you staying here again in the future - you guys were great!

We stayed at this awesome property for one week with our twin babies! It was really spacious and convienent for the whole family, grandparents included. We were close to everything downtown, restaurants, running path by the water, and cafes. The decor and feel of the property is very stylish yet homey. We truly felt at home and Stewart, the owner, was so helpful with everything. He met us at the property and made sure we were all comfortable. We definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: It was such a pleasure meeting you and having you and your family stay here. Thank you for taking such great care of the property! I wish you the very best:)

This review is overdue - I rented here for my sister's bachelorette party and we had an amazing time! This place is beautiful, modern and in a great location! This was my first vacation rental and I was pretty nervous, but Stewart was so friendly and answered all my questions ( I had a lot!). Also, he gave us all a walk through and showed us how to work all the electronics (he has some amazing stuff). This place was super close to Gas Lamp (about a 5 minute walk) - which was perfect as it did not get all the noise but still very walkable. I would recommend this place for an adult gathering, as it is modern and has a lot of sharp edges. Also, the very open floorplan does not allow for much privacy/noise control - which worked just fine for our girls getaway! We had a great time here and so will you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We have had a few of my clients stay in this gorgeous row home vacation rental. The first time was in June and then again over Labor Day Weekend. We have been so fortunate to work with Stewart as he has done an excellent job in staging the home with all the furniture and decor. He has an amazing taste for art and fixtures. My clients both had very positive experiences and I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking to be close to Gaslamp but still reside in a metropolitan/urban setting. The home is very well looked after and the rental process has been seamless on each occasion.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Your clients have been wonderful to have here and you have been great to work with on bookings and accommodations! Looking forward to many more!

My husband and I, and another couple rented this condo as it was close to our daughters condo and we were having a family gathering. Our condo was perfect, it was clean, beautifully decorated with up to date appliances and media center, and close to downtown so we could walk to places for our celebrations. We all would recommend this for any vacation and Stewart was a dream to work with. Enjoy San Diego with the perfect condo. We had fun - BonnieRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The house is tastefully decorated, clean and has LOTS of space. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Stewart also made everything to make our stay even more comfortable and wonderful. I'd love to go back some day. Best regards!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this lovely house for 4 days during Comic-Con week. The house is very nicely decorated, and Stewart walked us through the entire house pointing out everything we needed to know. An easy walk to everything in the downtown area, including morning Starbucks. The pictures on the web site are exactly as it looks: very clean with modern appliances. It's an easy walk to anywhere in downtown San Diego, less than 10 blocks away from the Convention Center. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very nice house ideally placed very close to the heart of downtown. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun week in San Diego. The large living room area was great for the whole team to get together. We were very happy with the whole vacation rental experience. Overall, it was a great experience!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much! I am so glad the house worked for you while attending Comic Con and you enjoyed your stay. I could not ask for better people to work with, you guys were great. I wish you and your company all the success in the future! Thank you again!

I stayed here when I came to San Diego for my new job that was located in downtown (while I looking for my own place). This house is completely amazing and as advertised. The place is big. The master is very large with a custom stone shower which I loved. The Main floor has a nice living room, kitchen and dinning room. the floors are all hardwood and beautiful - I loved all the art and top end furniture really polishes the place. I felt like I was in NYC. I used the large out door deck everyday after work to relax and enjoy - it was so nice to have outdoor space as nice as this and private. The kitchen is a dream. It was also great being so close to everything downtown, my work and all the restaurants and places that are just a couple of blocks away. The owner was great - cared about the quality of my stay and was willing to help me with anything I needed. I would come back and stay in a heartbeat - I highly recommend this amazing place to anyone - it's beautiful!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to have you here! So happy you enjoyed your stay:)

About the owner: Hi I am a professional Photographer and I purchased this place back in 2003. I'm the original owner and I worked with the architected to do many customizations. The house has won architecture awards, been featured in San Diego Home & Garden Magazine as well as featured in the popular book, 'The Not So Big House' which features the finest houses in the country that are under 2500 sq/ft that use space and architecture to achieve an exceptional living experience.
