This property consists of 3 hectares, with botanical garden, vineyard and swimming pool and is located at Mascalucia on the southern slopes of Mount Etna. The owner transformed the property into a peaceful paradise, a park with the most beautiful Mediterranean plants and flowers. The holiday home is in the middle of the park and distances 50m from the swimming pool (open from 1 of April until 31 of October). These houses are suitable for a family of max 5 persons (including baby cot) and consist of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room with 2 single beds and a little kitchen. The cottage has a terrace with outdoor furniture. You can opt to pay for breakfast and dinner, which are served on the terrace of the house where the owners live.
On the property you can also find a jeu-de-boules yard, a playground for your children and a botanical garden. Very close to the property you can find a pizzeria and the shopping streets of Mascalucia.

Exploring eastern Sicily: The accommodation is an excellent base from which to explore eastern Sicily and the volcano Etna. It is just five kilometres from the highway 10 km from Catania and 15 km from Acireale (a pretty little city, built on a plateau of lava, that is known for its Baroque churches). Santa Maria la Scala and Santa Tecla are pleasant seaside villages near Acireale. Gardini Naxos, a seaside resort with beautiful sandy beaches distances 40 km. And a bit further we find Taormina ‘the pearl of the Mediterranean’ and the most exclusive seaside resort in Sicily. Its ancient Greek theatre is world famous for its extraordinary panoramic views. Syracuse and Noto are a 1 hour drive away.

We stayed in the end of october with my husband and my two sons (10 and 13) Clean Wonderful garden, quiet, the countryside in town ... Good place for ETNA, not far from airport Nice breakfast and dinners althought I found it expensive comparing with the price in the area Almost no kitchen, just OK to have a drink. Only one bowl. Even difficult to make a proper breakfast, if you are four people staying. The beds are really small for the children. There is no heating/air-conditionning in the small room where the children sleep Not enough hot water for four showers. The pool seems great but is not usable at that time of the year
